Is there actually any reason female wizards wouldn’t be as powerful as male wizards? Magic is usually about study, talent, or raw arcane affinity right? Not like you bench press a fireball into existence. But then you look at some settings and it’s “ancient archmages, all dudes” and you gotta wonder if that’s lore or just bias baked into the world.
Are there systems where gender actually affects spellcasting power? Like if two casters had identical training, intelligence, and casting ability, is there any reason one would be weaker? Curious how you guys handle it in your worlds.

>Non-question about non-issue about Platonic idea of games of pretend and their magic system
I expect this thread to survive for 3 weeks, getting about 180 posts until then.
To be instantly replaced by near identical.
And then mods wonder why they are leaking users, click and traffic, when this is their way to combat it.

Only if you're playing in a setting made for sissies. In my world the only people who can summon angels, conjure lightning strikes, and move the very earth can squat AT MINIMUM 250 lbs. below parallel

How does Harnmaster handle it? And I seem to remember seing a game years on /tg/ years ago where women were worse at basically everything, but I can't remember its name and wonder how serious it actually was.

I think you are the problem and that you should go somewhere else and complain about /tg/ there.

I don't see how OP even came to that conclusion, given that his momma is so fat that gravity bends around her.
Not many mages master Gravity manipulation like that.

Mana is stored in the body, not just the tits or balls, and since women are so much smaller and lighter than men they have less mana. Yes, that means the Grand Wizard of the Arcadian High Tower is in fact a 420 pound lardass, and yes, overuse of mana while pregnant can fuck up the child since the body will try and steal their mana. Next question, please.

in real world western esotericism, virgin boys are typically considered to have the highest potential for magic
my presumption is that males expend their biologically expensive reproductive material at will, while women's bodies expend theirs (as well as significant amounts of blood and flesh) as part of the natural cycle
thus, males have more chance of retaining the energy that would otherwise be spent recovering (for males, the lost seminal fluids; for women, lost blood)
but magical systems in games don't have to work on those same considerations or principles and this is just a shitty engagement bait garbage thread anyway

They have been banned by the patriarcy in the past so their culture lags behind some. They could be just as good if not for these social factors.

It's one demented poster that the system will apparently no longer let me name, who spams ai slop commission's - yes, he actually pays for them - both there and here. He's been a major contributor to the decline of the board for years, yet the mods protect him for some reason.

If you're running a big standard DND
>Wizards are nerds
It probably breaks down similarly to STEM demographics. There will be outliers and there's no reason player characters have to be representative of averages, but i tend to skew my fantasy gameworld along familiar enough distributions interspaced with the occasional hot competent women because it's a fantasy after all.

Yes. Human brains are sex-typed. They display functional and structural differences and notably some of these differences are associated with skills used in chess and favour men. There are functional differences between the general population and high level chess players indicating that these structural differences are note the sole contributor to men being better at chess.
A significant portion of men performing better at higher levels in chess is what is to be expected in a field where more men participate (in bigger samples you expect to get greater extremes), conversely a significant portion of men's superior performance in chess is not accounted for by the simple factor of their greater participation.

Is there a reason that women in real life were often excluded from attaining formal education, and, at the same time, were mostly the keepers of alternative epistemic traditions that conflicted with the dominant one? If the matter is simply access to education, just look at history, and you have the dividing line between witches and wizards right there.
