is 1-drop in momir the new meta?
I've had opponents spam creatures three games in a row, going 123 and I haven't been able to keep up
>>
>>97895704
Momir doesn't have a fucking meta. It's completely random. I've always dropped every turn possible because you're just as likely to drop a mana ramp as you are an ornithopter, and like you said if you wait you could be swamped behind useful useful weenies.

Blue will be cooking in Strix.
>>
Favorite BGM? I thought Tarkir's was pleasant background noise.
>>
>>97895859
Don't play Tarkir sounds, it's full of subliminal sissy hypno to get you to buy more Aleshas

When does blue not?
>>
>>97895930
DFT? Idk I was basically out for that one.
>>

idk, it's usefull to skip a turn at time, so you can get higher tier units. it's mainly luck dependant, though. the one that rolls fliers first or things that help with land draw usually wins

New Capenna's board has some nice music
>>
>>97895781
idk, it may be useful to to skip a turn, so you can go higher tier faster. but it's really just luck dependant, the one the gets flying or mana/land abilities will win.

Definitely not

New to mtg. My favorite color is blue. How do I play it?
>>
>>97896362
Usually blue is part of a control or tempo plan. Control wants to shut down opponents from winning the game, tempo wants to be efficient on the board and close out the game quickly while disrupting the opponent's impactful plays. You're in luck, as blue (and blue/red in particular) is currently extremely strong right now. You can check out meta decks at various places like https://www.mtggoldfish.com/metagame/standard#paper

I looked at this thumbnail and thought it was a white man animorphing into some kind of carrot.

not a dopelganger, sever issues posting, i repeat not a dopelganger
>>
>>97896362
Add red and play izzet. Mono blue is shitty slow format that will burn your nerves. Only way to enjoy arena grind and rigging is to play something that wins quickly or looses quickly.

Get your ideas from decks here: https://mtgdecks.net/Standard

Is Strixhaven (both the plane and the deck) just a giant self insert for the Tumblr crowd ?

>the Tumblr crowd
Same energy as calling out myspace users in 2014.

would you prefer if he said Trannies & Tranny Accessories?

>people freaking the fuck out about having ancestral recall on a creature
>people didn't give a shit when we got dark ritual+, ancestral recall, and lightning bolt on a creature
What gives?
>>
>>97897840
Because people are dumb and can't recognize that all of them are bad cards. Only playable one in Standard is the bolt guy, and that's a maybe.
>>
Arena is for kikes who hate white
>>
>>97898213
it's also for retards who can't recognize patterns

Is Platinum Rank in Constructed a flex? It was kind of easy to get there, so I'm not sure if I'm just lucky or if it is actually a mark of skill.
>>
can we talk about how TMNT color pairs ABSOLUTELY dont work with SOS color pairs.
What the fuck is wrong with that?

>>97897840
>you have to pay CMC 6 and tap
versus
>you have to pay U
>>
>>97897840
I dislike the Magus because it's a solid body in its own right and it comes with an ability that you MUST shut down; Rith is the only other one that compares but it's a multicoloured legendary
>>
>>97900680
No
>>
>>97897840
The new one is repeatable by itself, Loot can only do it once. Also the new one is actually a spell trigger, so you get other advantages like prowess triggers, storm count, etc.
>>
>>97895704
8 is the magic number for momir, it's where all the biggest impact hits are. The useful 1 drops are vastly outnumbered by chaff. I usually drop at 2, and skip 3 on the play.
>>
>>97901736
13 is the best, if you can get to it. it's guaranteed Emrakul.
>>
>>97903839
...or it was 11. anyway, one of those gave guaranteed Emrakul, the other had a ton of shitty generics that could be drawn
