i'm in the US and I have 70 pulls. I see valkyrie typically goes for 100 dollars on mercari japan. do you guys think it would be better to spend these pulls to try for valk now, or should I just pay the tariffs and save these for the next big prize? I cant tell if valk's low price now is just because we're in the middle of its cycle or if it'll probably continue to stay relatively cheaper compared to drake and pegasus.

Finally, we're back!
I decided to finally pick up Pegasus Blast because "horse year" but I was wondering if
>Are there any good combos for Unicorn Sting
>did they ever release a heavier mold of it?
>>
>>11665583
save for next big prize. imo red aero isnt worth spending points on either as it will be $20-60 on jdirect or mercari in a few months. im saving points for whatevers after that.
>>
also valkyrie's price is low because its in the middle of the cycle like you said, but even when the price increases when its taken out the app i doubt it will be near the price of drake and pegasus. its just not as popular or competitive.

Just getting started,

>Are there any good combos for Unicorn Sting
I recall 9-60 Ball being strong enough to beat RodBall.
>>
White launchers just don't compare.
Not only is the Victory Grip bigger and girthier, double the gears means a more satisfying performance as well.
>>
I got meteor since the colours reminded me of the og dragoon shooter I had as a kid,
>>
>>11665964
Yes. To anyone outside Japan. We might buy them to try and get something, though we need to use a proxy or friend to redeem/send it. So we won't spend much on codes. I might pay 2~4€ for a 2000~2500p.

>>11665771
I gifted a friend the Hasbro Croc and Unicorn. He doesn't have lots so he will be using then both. Croc stock and Unicorn with 9-60 or 9-70 and Ball that I will also give him. Not a bad deck, alongside Wolf.

>>11665583
Yeah, save your stuff.

>>11666775
I hope we get more weird and funky stuff for grips or new launchers. Right now we got literally 4 different launchers, the Hasbro one, the Winder and String and finally the Victory one. That's it. Then for grips, just different colors and the Battle pass, which doesn't add much other than some weight. We need something like a different grip (angled or whatever), some kind of string maybe vertical one? Idk but new stuff.
>>
>>11666947
That would be cool, yeah, getting some variation on launchers and grips would be great.

Though being in my 30s and never having participated in a tourney or having a locals, sucks.

I recently bought the hasbro areo stadium (?) that comes with impact drake and hover wyvern (it was on sale on amazon), since I'm just getting back into it.

I also bought some of fakes from ali express (cx remakes of plastic gen dragoon gt, driger , dranzer and draciel) and some of the rare colour coat ones as well.
As for the tt/hasbro : I have wolf hunt and the ux version, dran buster, brave and sword, bx shark the circular one, cobalt dragoon, green wizard rod, spider-man and venom, Peral tiger, leon crest and plastic gen driger remake with meteor and plastic gen dragoon storm on the way.
>>
Not sure if it's real, and it's too late for me to go hunting for the truth. But the defense(?) phoenix, Phoenix Flare, is looking good and chunky. Seems to come with a "Z" assist blade and what I assume to be "Wall Wedge" as a bit.
>>
>>11667316
>>
>>11667317
They seem to be doing better with CX designs, so I have hopes for this. That 9-80 is unfortunate but at least easy to swap.
Fox Flare is going to look good.
>>
>>11666471
ever since I picked this up at target I haven't been able to stop power launching with it. The draw doesn't feel unnatural to me, but if someone had smaller hands and shorter arms I could see it being cumbersome.
>>
>>11667329
The resistance in the gears is so good though, it feels nice and thick, and it's more powerful than a regular dinky launcher. I'm sure competitive players have "rpm sweet spots" they aim for during tournaments but I just like seeing the mayhem so power launches it is.

The consensus on Meteor from everyone who's tested it seems to be "It's okay. Not as good as we hoped but it's usable."

wish there were more left spinners. got my meteor in the mail today and while it's been fun giving it a few test spins I'm just stuck thinking about how they needed to include a dedicated launcher because there's literally only one (well, two I guess) other left spinner and they can't count on you already having a treasure trove of launchers like they can with the rest of the lineup. It really feels like underused design space.

The rate at which Shark Scale can get Overs, Xtremes, Bursts and Spin Finishes is nuts. You never know what it's going to get, but it always gets one of them. It's such a strong blade.

Hey, I just recently got into Beyblade X about a month ago back during Christmas. What's the deal with the Hasbro releases? It feels like there's no concrete way to find out upcoming releases or if something got released already. For example, I saw a yt video (https://youtu.be/AJ75Qn1X7t8?si=nnrVu9OigiHwivnY) where the guy implies that PhoenixFeather 2-60N (and the other Wave 7s) are out now. So I went to check the wiki for release dates and also looked it up on Amazon and got nothing. Is that guy wrong? Is the wiki wrong? It says it's already been released in the states. Yet both Amazon .com and .ca both show nothing. I went on Malloftoys but they are sold out and it's only the Japanese versions they have up for sale anyway, so completely irrelevant to my question. Have any of you guys seen that new black Feather Phoenix Beyblade at stores? Does it even exist or am I just crazy?

In more positive news, my stadium arrived today. My mom agreed to play with me later so that's gonna be fun ^_^

>In more positive news, my stadium arrived today. My mom agreed to play with me later so that's gonna be fun ^_^
cool dude, hope you both enjoy it. Kinda hard not to feel something when these screaming blades clash into each other at dangerous velocities.
>>
>>11671744
it's been "released" in the sense that certain retailers in like 1 or 2 locations just kinda had it and sold it but in an "official" capacity no its not out. it'll probably be actually out in like less than 2 months
>>
phoenix flare looks amazing but idk if i like TT constantly changing the typing
>>
>>11671946
Canonically, none of the beys are evolutions(except Wolf Hunt), so think of it as Takara Tomy allowing more type opportunities for the same motif.
>>
Why the hell is hexa so good?
What makes it better than one of the needles or wedges or ball or whatever?

S*** seems stupidly dominant.
>>
>>11673130
A lot of reasons. It's dominant because nothing else does what it does.
- High burst resist, unlike all the other bits you mentioned, which is needed now that the meta has centralized around Shark Scale and Wyvern Hover. Low-resist bits just get exploded by them.
- Hexa is the only high-resist stamina/defense bit we have. Stuff like Point, Zap, or Level have too much motion not nearly as much stamina.
- Hexa's shape, the pie slices, help keep it upright, help push it away from the outer slopes and back to the center, and can occasionally bounce it out of the over zones for the same reason.
>>
>Meteor Dragoon kinda sucks
>Mummy Curse is better than anyone ever thought it would be
>>
>>11673206
define "better than anyone ever thought" because I remember people being extremely down on it at reveal
I don't usually take the risk on a random booster unless I like 90% of the beys on offer but I'm kinda on the fence. those CX's have really nice color variants, I still need a glide so the dagger would be good, hell even the weiss which is otherwise a total dud comes with a spare LR
>>
What's the Actual non-marketong difference between Stamina and Defense?

As far as I'm concerned there's attack, or spins good.
>>
>>11672241
True but you know with Bird youre getting a new balance type, or Multi a new stamina/defense type, that consistency is nice if you like using a specific type of bey. But theres plenty of attack types so its fine Burn uses multiple types I guess. Hopefully flare is better than rudder.
>>
>>11673705
There was a clearer separation of types in previous generations, but there's not much of a difference between Defense and Stamina in X. It used to be
Attack beats Stamina > Stamina beats Defense > Defense beats Attack
and Beys had more specific roles. Attack types were hard hitters, Defense types were big, bulky walls, and Stamina types were lighter and only meant to outspin stuff. In X, everything gets used as everything. Look at Hover, it's officially a "Defense" type and it's one of the best attackers in the game.
>>
>>11673206
I think meteor is a solid bey. I had a lot of success with 3-70 Level. He's a very good attack bey. The spin steal can come real clutch at the last second.

Unfortunately, Takara Tomy and Hasbro are going by the early Burst system of labeling types based on their point of contact for X, instead of actual performance.
>>

>>
>>11668278
I bitch a lot about Burst but having dual directions on every launcher was a very consumer friendly decision.
>>
I used to play these as a kid and bought some starter packs (Hasbro) and some fakes from Aliexpress. Didn't remember the launcher and beyblade being so loose, thought that you could click them on.
>>
>>11671767
>when these screaming blades clash into each other at dangerous velocities.
Yeah, that sound is really awesome. The other noise I really like is when a bey gets dunked into the side pockets and keeps spinning out in there. It's very satisfying.

I was little disappointed when I was trying to use Keel Shark against Incendio Reaper and kept getting bodied. Everyone online seemed to hype Shark up as the best thing ever and I was left rather disappointed by how unpredictable and inconsistent it was. If you don’t win in the first 5 seconds it will just fade away. Meanwhile, Incendio Reaper was way better than I expected even though what I had seen/heard was people dissing it or writing it off. When you flip the assist blade over to the deflect mode it becomes a bulky Stamina/Defense type that just shrugs off every hit. If Keel Shark wasn’t able to get a win fast enough then Reaper would just stall Shark to death. The Kick bit was also really annoying because it seems to just dodge almost everything, and if Reaper gets hit while wobbling that can prop the bey back upright to re-stabilize it for extra spin time.

I probably messed up my launches, since I’m a total noob that has maybe played 2 hours total. But Keel Shark just feels too inconsistent and unreliable for me to enjoy. I did much better with Sting Unicorn, and was not expecting to enjoy using it at all because of how girly it looked. It’s a really cool Beyblade that is easy and satisfying to control, and I like the gimmick a lot too. I think I will be using it regularly. Does anybody have any good combos for Sting Unicorn? I'll see if I can get the parts for them next time I head to the toy store.

The single pack? It's one of the best stock combos hasbro released. Shark edge is a great blade for upper attacks even now, I run it on 9-60 LR and it still keeps up with meta builds.

I have a 9-60 ratchet but I don't have LR. I'm looking at the prices online for it and it seems a bit much for 1 inch of plastic. Are there any good 3d print bit sellers you would recommend? For what builds would you want to use anything taller than x-60 ?
>>
>>11680772
Aside from cheating space with "X-70 Low Y" combos when the 60 version's already in your deck, there's not much of a reason to.
People always liked to say Silver Wolf and Tyranno Beat should've been on 70 when they were in the meta, but then they were still overwhelmingly on 60 in all the finals lists they were featured in. Same with Meteor Dragoon, it's being mostly played on 60 now too despite everyone saying 1-70 and 7-70 were the ratchets for it. I sometimes see Rod running 1-70 to give 1-60 to something else in the deck, but that just makes it lose to the 1-60 Rods.
I think the only real 70 builds now are the Pegasus Blast Wheel ones, just because you want Wheel taking all the hits.
>>
Can someone explain what ratchets are good for? Like height makes sense to me, but what I've seen says ratchets with fewer bumps are more resistant to burst, so why use 9 ones? Hope this makes sense I'm a total beginner

>Can someone explain what ratchets are good for?
Balance and stamina, mostly, but there's a couple with uses beyond that. The shape of 1-60 and 1-70 throws all of their weight into one point, which helps Attack types hit harder on that one contact point. The shape also lets it bounce off the Over Zone walls and gives your Bey a chance to jump out. 7-60 and 7-70 weigh 2 grams more than the other ratchets because of how thick and blocky the 7-ring is, so they're used to give lighter stuff a little extra weight, or to make Beys that are already heavy hit even harder.

>but what I've seen says ratchets with fewer bumps are more resistant to burst, so why use 9 ones?
The 9-XX ratchets have the smallest diameter rings out of any of them. It doesn't matter how many bumps they have, you're not going to make any meaningful contact with them. Compare 9-60 to 5-60 or 6-60. It doesn't make them better just because they have fewer protrusions.

>Hope this makes sense I'm a total beginner.
1-60, 3-60, and 9-60 are the three best ratchets in the game and they're pretty much universally good on most things, but it depends on your Bey's shape and weight distribution. Something like Cobalt Dragoon will usually run 5-60 over anything else because it has big imbalance holes cut out in its blade, and the bottom two points of 5-60's star line up directly with those holes to put weight where there is none.

This is a crit path guide I made for a friend looking to get in if you wanted to go all out from the start. ~$140 gets you the current best deck in the game for the foreseeable future, and a lot of other great parts. Shark Scale / Wyvern Hover / Wizard Rod as a trio beat just about everything else in the game at the moment.
>>
What's everyone's opinion on Wolf Hunt? How relevant to the meta doesn't matter to me because I don't compete. I'm mostly getting it because I enjoy using Silver Wolf in stock form, but Hunt kind of came and went so fast that I forgot it existed for a while.

>What's everyone's opinion on Wolf Hunt?
>How relevant to the meta doesn't matter to me because I don't compete.
Hunt is average as far as CX blades go, Free is okay, 0-60 has the same problem the other two 0- ratchets do, and Disc Ball has always been bad. The lock chip is cool.
>but Hunt kind of came and went so fast that I forgot it existed
It's just another release, nothing special or outstanding about it. Silver Wolf is still better. If you like it, get it.

>>
>>11683419
https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Winning-Combinations-at-WBO-Organized-Events-Beyblade-X-BBX?page=96
The meta is currently some combination of Shark Scale, Wyvern Hover, Wizard Rod, Pegasus Blast, and Aero Pegasus. Pick any three and you're good.
>>
To people who play competitively and go to tournaments, how many copies of meta blades do you own? How many spares do you keep?
>>
>>11683889
I started less than a year ago, so I'm still gathering all the relevant parts. I'm also not rich, so it's going little by little. But I got three phoenix (one blue with Hexa) and two rods, but they were for my gf.
Competitive players that participate in tournaments once a month or even a week mostly have two or even three of their main blades and maybe even ratchets and bits.
For bits, well, they get worn down eventually, and for ratchets, some might be slightly tighter.
For the blades, some might have a better balance, others more weight, but after that comes the most important factor. If it's broken or it's getting a crack. If you are in the middle of a tournament and your Bey breaks, it's game over.

I personally want to get another LR, R and L, since these are a little flat and are getting rounded up. I don't think I will get more of the same blade unless one breaks or I get them for cheap somehow, like an Amazon sale or something.
>>

Only got like 9 X beys right now but good thing that Hasbro isn't fucking up the product except for the beystadiums other than the Xtreme Battle Set, the tournament beystadium (which is an Amazon exclusive), and the Double Xtreme motorized beystadium. Got the Xtreme Battle Set back in 2024 along with like a few different beys which at the time was what I had in terms of X beys throughout 2025. I've done a few events in my area (all of them at conventions funny enough) which I usually just brought the beys I had along with a camera and tripod, my launcher, and the Xtreme Battle Set beystadium. Some of the cons I gone to were basically shitshows in terms of organizing but I kept a positive attitude with con staff. Hell, I even got competitive Beyblade on the main stage of one of the cons. All of these were basically independently organized events which I worked with various cons on to be honest here.

>>

Hasbro or Takara Tomy? Hasbro's QR code is the sticker on the bottom of the Bey. TT's is on one of the inner flaps of the box.

>>
>>11683889
Strangely enough, I probably have more copies of non-competetive blades that I bought for the bits or ratchet. A few lance knights because i wanted the low flat. A few dark blades because i wanted wedge or got in the cerberus random booster. My wife plays so we generally keep 2 of each of our competetive blades. Sometimes grab extras if we see something cheap at ross. 5 bucks for a tyranno beat/knife shinobi pack? I'd buy 3 if they were available. I also like to keep a few in boxes in case we need prizing for a mini event.

>>
>>11687964
What is stopping you from getting the Japan tournament size stadium?
>>
>>11687964
depends on what you're buying it for. if you're a collector then it's basically required to get Tusk Mammoth, for example. The arena is much smaller than the TT one that everyone actually uses in competition so the nicest way I can describe it is that it's an interesting alternative (unlike the green bucket, that's just plain trash no matter how you slice it.) If you're actually looking to be competitive then the only thing here for you is the Rush bit on Dran Dagger, but at this point you can get the green WizRod for a lot cheaper (assuming you can find them at your local walmart/target/etc., they might still have leftover stock from the holiday season if you live in the middle of nowhere like I do.)
I'd say "wait for a sale" either way but it's alright. The launchers are worthless, just get normal winders/strings elsewhere.
>>
>>11688009
>>11688028
Thanks. I'm starting out so I'll check for one of the large stadium bundles.
>>
>>11688149
The stadium matters most if you are going to try and play competitive at all. If you have not got any blades, I'd say you should check Ross and five below for a start. Depending what you find there you can look at other stores to add complementary blades. Or just get one that looks cool.
>>
>>11688468
I was thinking of getting this. its the stadium and two beys that I think are decent. Going to pick up some others on top of it.
>>
>>11688501
>decent
Wizard Rod is the best blade in the game, and you get 1-60, which is one of the best ratchets in the game.
>>
>>11688501
Yea man, that's a good option. Pick up another attack type and you can definitely play the beyblades. The blue Phoenix wing has hexa that would be a good addition to the wizard wand. The more parts you collect up the more you'll be able to figure out a play style you enjoy.
