My secret identity is actually pretty obvious.

That looks a lot like the short versions of the Metal Force toys by Spin Master - although I suppose it articulates better? That other guy that posted all those Batman pictures in the last thread, those were the same quality of articulation as this thing will have?

Thanks.
I guess will keep eye out. I saw some posted in 2024 and never even opened up those listings.
What's available today is more than I want to pay to try something out given how much spending on toys has happened since October.

You can get four of these for $79 at BBTS for less than you pay for one Batman at Mafex.
Although if you are made of money and want to waste it, Mondo also made figures.

You are living in a gilded cage full of toys. 59% of Americans can't cover an emergency $1000 expense* so of course an $80 useless toy is a big spend for a majority of people. They'd be better off paying down debt.
>>
>>11682171
So, more than half of Americans are poor that shouldn't be buying toys. Understood. I am however not in that position. All my bills for the month are paid and I have almost $3K just sitting in my checking account. That's not even to mention whatever I currently have in my savings.
Sorry, and this hurts the feelings of most of the users here, but if you're that hard on for money that $80 is a lot of money to you, then you shouldn't be collecting toys. Simple as. It's just too expensive and doing so is financially irresponsible.
>>
>>
>>11682183
My Mafex Hush shipped from Nin Nin. Even after the more expensive shipping, it's still only came out to $75. Not as bad as I was expecting. Do we have any updates on Mafex Tim Drake? I can not wait for him, and actually in the interim have come up with a decent custom idea for Oracle. I just have to dig out the various parts.
>>
>>11682175
You'll have to tolerate people hard for cash because there are a lot of people in that position, and not all of them are going to avoid toys. This is the price of freedom. People decide what to spend their money on, and they see a Marvel Legend for $20 on sale and get sucked in, then they see people spending $80 on something else and are shocked that people would spend that much on a toy.
>>
>>11682194
>You'll have to tolerate people hard for cash because there are a lot of people in that position, and not all of them are going to avoid toys
I just am sick and tired of listening to people bitch and moan over what really isn't a lot of money. I didn't start collecting toys until I had a big boy job and could afford to. Hell, toys aren't even my cheapest hobby. I went shooting this weekend which included dumping $30 in 5.56 ammo down range from what was essentially an automatic weapon in less than 3 seconds. By trying to participate in hobbies you can't afford, you just perpetuate the cycle of being poor.
>>
>>11682200
Given the median US full time wage is $63,360, a great deal of people's "big boy jobs" still don't cover what is essentially wasted money on toys. A lot of scalpers are actually collectors financing collecting figures through a 'side hustle' of selling multiples of the hard to get figures at a premium and that is how they pay for their purchases for themselves. They know which figures to 'invest' in because they know what is desirable. The moment they saw Psylocke was exclusive to Target they were in love.
>>
>>11682222
I did talk about toys, you didn't engage. That isn't my fault.
>>11682221
Ok bud, what exactly is your point here? That since because more than half of America is apparently too broke to pay for toys, it's ok for you to constantly whine about something as trivial as $30? Shut the fuck up anon. If you can't afford this hobby, go away. Nothing is more annoying than listening to someone whine about a hobby they can't participate in.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>11682237
Sure, but it's fucking obnoxious and kind of ruins discussion for everyone. I mean, look at the state of /toy/ right fucking now. The people that still actively collect toys have all but left. Now it's nothing but schizos arguing with themselves, bitching about prices, and spamming whatever brand has twisted your panties in a bunch. Literally because you have these poor faggots who sit on here all day and make pissy little posts like >>11682231 because someone else can afford an action figure they can't. Sorry, but this is the reason this thread and this board in general is so shit now. Tolerating this shit is the problem.

Tired Batman is Tired. We didn't see the warning signs. The Todd designed Batman looked so old and tired in his face. Most of us focused on the spikes and the weird details and the giant larger than life Bat Symbol. But we didn't see the true reflection was of McFarlane--so tired. He was ready to hand off his toy empire to middle management men who didn't care about cool looking toys. Who only cared about bonus incentives.
>>
>>11682175
I agree with the last part but no need to sound like a dick over all of this
>>11682194
I think people are more annoyed by people spending too much on toys with poor quality. I for one never understood why people would pay hundreds of bucks for Mondo crap. I have the money, yet I'd rather get a Marvel Legends figure or Mafex instead. People paying too much can sometimes have negative impacts of overall quality
>>11682200
We have gone over this in the past, mate. Most people out there have poor lifestyle choices. I'm often annoyed as well but it won't get you anywhere because people will always continue to bitch and moan and not improve their lives
>>11682240
>Sure, but it's fucking obnoxious and kind of ruins discussion for everyone
It is obnoxious but don't you think ignoring them would be much better than antagonising them? If people were to stop discussing with people like that, it wouldn't be that much of an issue. You're part of the problem, yet you're denying your participation.
What I always try to do (for better or worse) is to try talking about things I like while proactively ignoring the retards out there

I ordered the entire Zatanna wave from the McFarlane store and it came in Saturday. I think Zatanna was originally going to have an alternate hair piece or head but they scraped it. Not as manish in hand. Blackhawk's left arm slips right out the bicep joint. I think Elongatedman's head is a little too big. Prof. Pyg is probably the worst of the bunch. I've never seen knees this bad and I have McF Demon Slayer figures. He comes with a lot of accessories but McFarlane makes handles way too thick so good luck getting him to hold anything.
>>
>>11682265
The reason for Mondo is because they actually look like the characters on screen many times. Like their Rogue. People therefore ignore the fact they can barely move and would have paint cracking issues and such if you leave them posed for too long.
>>
>>11682465
The platinum of Zatanna has the alt head. Some other stuff may have been 'cut' from the figure though. We'll never truly know
>>11682303
As first world (well, US if that counts anymore), I sometimes forget the dollar sign before so just throw it in after, so I can understand where "dollar sign after"-bros are coming from. It isn't always due to their currency usually putting it after.

>people spending too much on toys with poor quality. I for one never understood why people would pay hundreds of bucks for Mondo crap. I have the money
This is exactly what you patio ranch defenders don't understand.
Having money and not wanting to waste it on five million different iterations of TDK and Hush figures doesn't mean someone is poor, much less has "brown fingers," or is a third worker.
I'm in one of the most expensive suburbs of the most expensive metro areas in the states and can comfortably afford and don't own a number of imports because I don't want them, which doesn't mean I don't have some in my home today, and don't own DC Mondo because batcrap doesn't interest me, but you don't see me shit talk anything other than the obvious: most of you are brain dead imbeciles who should be prevented from breeding and passing it down.
>>
>>11682499
Sorry that I expect you to have the basic knowledge to out the dollar sign in the right fucking place. I'm such a piece of shit for expecting you to know how to tell time or tie your shoes. Who am I kidding, you can't do these things.
>>
>>11682531
>Having money and not wanting to waste it on five million different iterations of TDK and Hush figures doesn't mean someone is poor, much less has "brown fingers," or is a third worker.
That has never been my contention. My point always has been, ever since the first patio post you can't let go of, that you guys are making a big deal out of what is really not a lot of money. I don't think paying $80 for a Mafex figure after shipping is outrageous. I think this because I spend money on other things that are more expensive such as things for my house. I don't know why this is such a contentious topic.
>I'm in one of the most expensive suburbs of the most expensive metro areas in the states and can comfortably afford and don't own a number of imports because I don't want them
And that's fine. You do you. But stop sperging out at others who do want to pay more for better toys. It's weird that you do this.
>but you don't see me shit talk anything other than the obvious: most of you are brain dead imbeciles who should be prevented from breeding and passing it down.

So settled on and pre-ordered from Walmart, it was supposed to arrive tomorrow. Get text/email alert saying "delayed" - and I realize my account page tells me it's being "fulfilled by McFarlane Collector's Club."
Is this one of those situations where I'm likely to get cancelled on and never get this? I might be near a Game Stop tomorrow but that's about it.
And the stores in my city have hardly carried any new McFarlane since the displays for the summer Superman movie stuff came and went.

Fuck that noise.
Todd should do a classic Captain Comet - it's a lot of reuse, which he loves. And even if he did the 2005 version, it's also a lot of reuse, just a repaint of the Adam Strange body with some stuff form the Kon-El figure. Todd doesn't even need to sweat a plastic or wired cape.

Todd could also easily do something like the 2005/6 costume by Shane Davis. It's pretty much just spandex with the side holster, wrist bracers, etc. with the only real issue is doing a good chest emblem.
Any of the recent DCMV Green Lantern Hal heads but without the mask would be a perfect fit for the art.
But yeah, I love the other costume. It's closer to the old yellowed silver age Mystery In Space issues I grew up reading from an old box of comics.

WM updated and says I'm getting it on the 2nd. I don't care when it arrives as long as it does. I was returning non-toy shit to Target and they had the Authority Supes in stock so I picked it up and cancelled that "McFarlane Collector's Club" pre-order.
It looks somewhat better in hand than the promo shot, but the body is shorter than you think once you put it next to most McFarts. It has no fucking ass for some reason, the forearm and upper arm look good with a tee-shirt, it's actually a good look for Supes. But that elbow joint, the cuts for the double joint, so fucking ugly.
I might get a second one if it clearances to swap out these arms with the ones on the Connor Kent t-shirt torso, even with that problem. I can't wait for customizers to start playing with the head to see what ideas they come up with to narrow the chin or shorten the length or do something to salvage what is a good head sculpt from the nose up but only MEH from the nose down.

I agree with you that the glasses look kind of rough, but at the same time, they are in the style that Jim Lee drew them in the comic, but the frames on the Mafex version are WAY to thick. I hate that they can only do Hush designs
They should really campaign to get the rights to the recent World's Finest comic, they can basically get access to every single DC character in their classic silver age/bronze age designs. I'm already tired of Hush. I mean there's barely any material to pull from anymore that they fucking resorted to making a scuba Batman.

They've teased figures from other storylines now. Superman For Tomorrow being one they've teased at recent cons. NTA but $5-$6 is actually pretty standard for the size of an action figure. You're just used to Amazon or BBTS or Walmart where you can get free or cheaper shipping. When I buy specialty parts for stuff I pay like at least $10. Had to by a replacement part for a handgun directly from H&K since no one else makes it, it being a tiny little metal part that cost $8, that cost me $12 to ship. Sometimes, that's just the way it is.

I don't know why you're shilling them so hard like none of us know you can order from McFart's site directly, most of us have already made the choice to never give him money for ideological reasons so asking us to pay an extra five or six bucks because x = y+tips/NFT bonus rounded to the nearest blah blah blah is as pointless as it is insane.

My two Zatanna arrived from GameStop this afternoon while I was hanging out with some friends. I had shit to do right afterwards so just brought the box inside. I was pissed because Fed Ex just dumped it outside our locked community room (mailroom), in the courtyard.
Mostly because it's a small box and the lazy fucking FedEx guy could have walked up one flight and put it at my front door AND because it rained before and during the drive home (so about 20 - 40 minutes).
Not sure if it actually rained in the suburbs but that was the weather report which the drivers should fucking know.
Unlike most of you, I haven't even cracked open the box because I was tired and I have adult patience. Besides, I don't want to be disappointed that I didn't get one plat and one regular but ended up with two of the same, like the last time I ordered two of something from GameStop.

This thread will never cease to amaze me. You guys will sit here and bitch and moan about $5 shipping yet in the same breath, advocate overspending by the upwards of $80 to get the specific variant you want from AliExpress, or you'll buy multiple copies hoping you get the variant you want. I genuinely don't understand the people that buy these things. I was going ask if it's DC fans but I don't do this. Must be McFarlane collectors.

I haven't built it yet but I'll try to put it together later tonight. Kind of overwhelmed looking at all the pieces as I've never bought or put together a model kit before but just from looking at the pieces it looks pretty good everything looks nice and clean. Cape is wired and it comes with multiple hands and an alternate face.
If you want to buy it spend a few minutes on the site there's a bunch of listings but they all range from like $14 to $30 all with different shipping rates. Mine was like $15 with free shipping but the listing now is either gone or it's increased to $25.

Why say what everyone already can read on the figure pic?
>BBTS occasionally sells chase variants for a $10-$15 price hike from the msrp
Yes that is the problem. I only support stores that charge MSRP and no higher, because back in my day the department stores weren't scalping figures. Kmart, Hills or Ames sold the figure for MSRP and if it didn't sell they dropped the price until it did. These are just pieces of plastic at the end of the day. They aren't semiconductors.
>Yes it's stupid and gay but if you really want the chase this is your best option over dealing with eBay prices. Regular Zatanna is completely sold out and if you missed her you're basically fucked now.
It isn't an option anyway because BBTS puts the chases up on a random day at a random time and it sells out in 2 seconds if it's anything anyone actually wants. So you'd have to be refreshing BBTS all day every day to ever see it in stock, and I do not care about these horrible figures enough to do that. Frankly I can't believe anyone does. I don't think this figure is worth $35, let alone $50. I am merely disappointed in civilization that it allowed this to happen because it is an affront to my sense of morality.
>>
>>11685512
They are pretty straightforward, maybe watch a build first so you can kinda see how it works as the instructions aren't much more than pictures. Thankfully if you make a mistake it's easy enough to correct as long as you dry fit before putting each segment together, they are pretty fun imo.

Some of them are already at the port in San Pedro or Seattle, with a bunch of other imports. They have a certain amount of time where the tartif fees are due and until it's released, they are possibly saving since those tarrifs have been up and down.
And besides being a lousy search, that's another thing I hate about Ali.
I hear the cape frays easy because the wire doesn't extend into the body? Presumably because those are all separate pieces?

The cape connects at two pegs in the back then cape drapes over the shoulder before the wires start. It puts a lot of stress on the fabric that could cause fraying. It would have been better without the wires. I feel like someone told the designers to put the wires in the cape without them understanding why. Kinda like how the Korean animators who worked on Superman: the animated series thought Batman could fly cause he too had a cape.

Yeah, I bought them both from a Chinese seller, claimed to be KO of McFarlane's "official" releases, but one arrived in that clamshell and box, as you saw and the other arrived in tossed in plastic baggies, but the count was correct.
These were obviously McFarlane stuff that was either rejected for QC issues, or overstock at the factory never shipped for sale.
I don't see the cork gun, but don't have time to take them all out. I have the two pieces of the big barrel and the purple and green and gold guns?
I bought all three packs they had sold, and I think they gave me extras since the second baggie is stuffed with all black military looking crap.
I've got to run and do some returns or I'd take it out and try to assemble it, it looks like a fun gun to take some pictures with later.

Most people are out with Zatanna so it'll be hard getting much more info from anyone but mcfarlane toys directly. There's rumors of Poison Ivy but who knows how accurate they are. I still remember rumors like Harley's Hyena and Red X which never appeared.
Most of us recognize they're just milking their fans with $35 figures along with chases that are going to be impossible to find for $35 since the scalpers want to make bank.
At this point I tend to just put in a preorder if it's something I want, which has gotten to a much higher bar for mcfarlane due to their now insane prices, and then forget about it and if it comes it comes. If it gets canceled then the store saved me $35

>>
>>11687198
No, unless they release them with less or no accessories in blisters as Ross exclusives (but this is mostly only for really wide notoriety chars like Batman/Superman/Joker and has only been done for like a few figures) or if they do some kind of different paint scheme for the figure like those black and red versions or patina editions, which are radically altered by the different paint. Sometimes they did an unmasked version for some characters, but not the exact same release due to new head and sometimes different accessories.

Chatgpt literally would not write like that, nor have that much information about McFarlane figures. It makes sure not to do run on sentences with tons of commas. >>
>>11687196
I got the page punchers Jay this week, $31 after tax for a figure, a stand and a reprint comic.
These aren't great figures, there's no exciting articulation or sculpting or anything remotely special about them. These are as great value of a toy line as you can get while paying more than a Hasbro figure but slightly less than a neca.

I'm skeptical almost anyone will think fondly of it because there are so many huge negatives for every huge positive.
Early on, the standard "Marvel Legends" domestic collector hated it because it wasn't 6in and didn't do enough classic looks even though it was customer friendly, available and cheap. Now it does classic looks but it's customer unfriendly, hard to find, and expensive for a domestic/what you're getting. So it's a schizophrenic line that changed midway through and all the negatives became positives and positives became negatives.
The only people who might think it's good are people who enjoyed the crazy Dark Multiverse figures with lots of sculpted detail and some obscure releases like Captain Carrot or Frankenstein during a sweet spot period before the prices and rarity went insane.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>11687221
I recall those earlier days, especially the Drowned. I thought it looked great but I had no clue wtf it was, so I never got into the line. Then there were those blank chase figures like the artist proofs for 40k but not marketed in the same way.
I guess my overall thoughts on multiverse are that McFarlane was trying to please to many people all at once and it just stalled out. If you want to do action figures then great, if you want to go for a more Neca 'look but don't touch' style then fantastic. I just don't think you can do both at once. Then you've got the super powers and super friends with different scales and bodies and articulation. The chase store exclusive figures, the nfts, now this dummy raffle system for platinum figures. .
McFarlane has been making figures for what, 30 years now? You'd think the company would have its shit together by now, like how does Spawn keep going as an entire comic line if the toy division seems so out of touch with the fans and scalpers?
>>
>>11687340
Spawn was down to just the main book for the longest time and it doesn't take much to keep making a single comic book. It's basically paper and some people for art/writing/lettering/coloring. Toys are much harder and more mostly to coordinate and produce.
Also the weird thing is back in the early to mid 90s, Spawn was the book that didn't really have alternate covers except maybe issue 50 (I actually don't know if 50 had multiple covers actually, it may not) until issue 100. I know 100 had multiple covers. And usually alt covers are the scalper bait of comics. Somehow McFarlane resisted it then but he is all for scalpers now in both comics (lots of alternate covers now) and chase toys.
Part of the problem I think is McFarlane has not retained his talent at the toy company, so new employee waves mean they have to relearn everything all over again frequently.
>>
>>
>>11687359
Chases make a lot of business sense. They cater to what Target and Walmart want. They want a reason for people to enter their stores. McFarlane Toys is betting collectors will put up with them. The best thing any of us can do is just not to put up with a practice so negative for us but positive for big box retail.
>>
>>11687367
Hasn't the market shown that people don't want to fuck with McFarlane's chases and artificial scarcity?
We went from full shelves of iconic Superman and Batman and weird but cool new stuff like Drowned to having to check the bottom shelf of an electronics section. Preorders instantly sell out and even online retailers like Amazon are selling out after 200-500 sales.
I've been wandering toy aisles on grocery runs and heard two friends say, "I don't give money to McFarlane."
Everyone abandoned the line and the few thousand people on the planet who know about it, hate it. There are a lot of factors like pegwarmers, antagonizing the customers, and a general miserable experience getting orders fulfilled, everyone here has a list of reasons why they're pissed. The end result is all the same, physical stores are minimizing Todd's products on their shelves as much as possible.
>>
>>11687380
maybe the chases and exclusives are all that is keeping them in stores at all. the chases are still being bought, whether by scalpers or not. the store really doesnt care, a sale is a sale to them. i know the audience of real buyers has to have cratered simply because there are hardly any units being produced. he is probably at factory MOQ for these

NTA you've been talking to.
I agree that some of what you are saying makes business sense - the problem, as this anon points out, is Todd's >>11687380
>artificial scarcity
which we know is bogus since things like the Wonder Twins keep popping up at retail prices for on-line ordering months after they sold out, including the chase.
The other issue is, yes, money. You aren't getting much for $10 for that chase. A monkey screaming and in a yellow suit instead of a green one? BFD.
But collectors are stupid monkeys which is why I am wasting time trying to find a Spider-Man with an open mouth and a pizza slice just to have it, and ditto for Bombastic Bag Man. I could probably kitbash the later Bombastic from the comics, the shorts and open shirt/torso look with an actual homemade paper bag but most idiots would look at that and since they aren't comic readers would think I was some weirdo.
>>11687221
>>11687206
I'll remember that I was excited with the early McFarlanes because they could articulate more the DC Collectibles and were better looking that the Mattel I still owned, some of which I only held on to for nostalgia reasons, like PICREL, but the relentless diaperness of all Todd's looks has worn me down.
>>
>>11687149

Almost all of it is Marble Legends and it's almost all kitbash, except he did make and paint some small things, like the wand is just part of a cocktail stick painted, according to what anon wrote.

Okay, ugly may be hard. I owned it and actually thought about buying another since they are $5.99 all over most Ross' in town and I expected it to go down to $2.99.
I wanted to actual harvest just the head and toss the rest, but that means boring/drilling out a hole, just to put it on Todd's awful side eye Prime face in replacement of one of the spares but most of them seem to have shockingly sold.
The Catwoman and Penguin may be considered caricatures as well but they aren't as unappealing.

It hasn't. Because toy companies used to make toys for kids that were just for fun for awhile, not nostalgia bait that are meant for adults to be nostalgic over their formative years, what comics and figures they had back then. The original Transformers or He-man toys when they were new properties back in the 80s weren't made to scam people out of their money for a twinkle of nostalgia in their eye. The kids who bought those toys had no nostalgia for Transformers or He-man as they were new properties. They just thought they looked cool or liked the cartoon and wanted some toys to play with.
>>
>>
>>11687435
>toy companies used to make toys for kids that were just for fun for awhile, not nostalgia bait
Bro, that is nostalgia talking. Kids today still get “just for fun” toys, you just don’t notice them because you're not that target audience. Which is exactly how kids in the 80s felt about their parents’ toys. The real shift isn’t what toys are. It’s who YOU are. You remember the magic but you don't feel it anymore. That’s not because fun stopped being made. It’s because fun stopped being made for YOU. You're a "collector" now that's just supposed to lock something in a glass case and keep buying more plastic to try to recapture your lost childhood.
What changed:
>>
>>
>>
>>11687443
Yes there was. Model trains, Die cast cars, Barbie, model kits like Revell, Aurora, Monogram, Tamiya. Hell, Star Wars collecting existed during the original run. You don't get things like price guides unless adults are buying and selling these thing as collectibles. What didn’t exist was mass market acknowledgment (because there was no internet), not the market itself.
>>
>>11687451
This is /toy/ so obviously when I say toys I mean action figures. Star Wars toys in the 80s were not toy companies preying on collectors. Not yet. They were made for kids. Some adults just kept them due to mental illness but this was not "demonic companies" preying on collectors by making nostalgic product. The product already existed. It was only a secondary market, not the actual companies making new collector aimed product.
>>
>>
>>
>>11687456
>This is /toy/ so obviously when I say toys I mean action figures.
:/ That seems like moving the goalposts.
Here's a toy price guide from 1975. Adult collectors have been a thing for a while now. And when there's collectors there's ALWAYS going to be someone preying on them.
1950s–60s: Universal Monsters toys (Aurora kits) sold to people nostalgic for 1930s-40s horror films.
1960s: Reissues of wind up tin toys modeled after prewar designs.
1970s: Antique style dolls, trains and mechanical toys explicitly marketed as “old fashioned”.
Your argument falls apart just at the Aurora monster kits. They're straight up nostalgia products of 30-40 year old IP. Every generation thinks nostalgia toys started after them. Boomers said it about 80s toys. Gen X said it about reissues in the 90s. Millennials say it about today. Gen Z will say it in 20 years.

Nta but it certainly was not the hobby it would become. I remember tons of model kits but not much that catered to a more mature market.
I'd like to see what you are thinking of when you disagree with that guy about toys marketed to adults in the 80s.
My babysitter had a gag wind up walking penis toy, my uncle had a computer and lots of video game stuff in 80s but I can't think of toys for adult collectors in the 80s.
>>
>>
I've got zero DC figures and want a full collection of some bat family and the rogues' gallery, is going for the mafex and the Hush figures a good start? The Ivy looks amazing and they're roughly in size with my other figures, but are there many options for Cassandra or Stephanie? I love them
>>
>>11687466
>>11687465
Yeah well most of us live in toy we live in a bubble where toy=action figure. I am guilty of this lazy thinking. I don't even know if those aurora monster kits actually count as a toy -- if the images I am seeing are correct though. They appear to not have any articulation. They look like statues.
And sure, scalpers may have been preying on 60s kids in the 80s by selling them toys released in the 60s that they fondly remember. But since everyone credits ToddyMac for creating the collector action figure market, I doubt there were action figures made by corporations meant to exploit adult collectors' nostalgia using action figures in the 80s. I don't pretend to know which company first did it although toybiz is a possibility, or maybe a company making Star Trek figures. Something where the IP in use was old enough that making figures of them made adults want to buy them out of nostalgia.
Were there companies exploiting non-action figure toys back then? Maybe, I don't keep track of toys that aren't action figures.

>I doubt there were action figures made by corporations meant to exploit adult collectors' nostalgia using action figures in the 80s.
There was the same exploitation only rather than being sold in stores it was mail order and conventions. Star Wars was already adult nostalgia exploitation during the 80s, as anon said. This has been well documented. Kenner knew adults and teens were preserving figures. “Mint on card” behavior was recognized. Same thing happened with Mego in the late 80s.

In 1/12th scale? Unfortunately no. Basically the older back you go, the more like a statue everything will be, but they will be able to depict the female form in licensed products and have better paint apps. The newer you go, the better the articulation will be, but they will fail to depict the female form in licensed products and their paint will suffer unless the figure's cost is high.

That's happened with Pokemon GO, Fortnite, Animal Crossing, Among Us, Minecraft... Nostalgia doesn’t require decades nowadays. As soon as a fanbase grows and ages, even slightly, marketers will exploit it.

Nostalgia is predicated on time. I am questioning if a decade is really enough to have nostalgia for something. If so what is the minimal unit of time needed for nostalgia?
>Nostalgia doesn’t require decades nowadays.
So it used to? Have we as a people changed? Is this the "brain rot" of modern generations who live life at lightspeed?

Awesome contribution, zoomie.

Modern shit-posting behavior has been ingrained in all of you for more than a decade, probably far longer.

Another wonderful contribution, boomer.

Certainly a waste of energy and time, given that the thread will quickly devolve to garbage, but:
