That's a shame to hear, but those are one of those toys that were destined to be lost to antiquity. Kids don't want to be told to create something new themselves. That's too much of a reach for their brains that have been destroyed by teachers telling them not to think and just be part of the collective hivemind.

>The wood products company Pride Manufacturing is shutting down later this year.
>Toy giant Hasbro owns the rights to the toy brand, licensing them for various products, though the manufacturing has shifted over time.
>Global toy company Basic Fun currently holds the licensing agreement for production despite facing its own bankruptcy issues
Every company involved is in financial dire straits.
Cursed.

Yeah, I loved playing with stuff like this when I was a kid.

>kids these days
Grandad, they probably liked things like these logs or megablocks as little kids, but once they can play Minecraft they just build shit there instead. Most parents can’t afford the shitton of lego or brand name lincoln logs that could rival the freedom to build in a game, so naturally they’re not as interested. Kids fucking love building shit and always will.

I don’t think so, since LEGO is still very popular. I think LEGO is just better in every way, so people chose it over Lincoln logs.

BRANDED Lego is popular, where you're told to build an X Wing or whatever.

aren’t those the faggots that released a WWF Superstars arcade machine with Andre and the LOD cut from the games? fuck them, I hope their building catches fire and insurance denies everything

Huh i should buy some for my kid before they're gone for good. I want to instill creativity in her.

The potential to create with Lincoln logs is pretty limited unc

They are more a relaxing sensory toy if anything. How many different ways can you build a square log cabin before you get bored?

I hope this becomes a public domain toy like army men or those bags of animals you see in museums and such

Have their patents not expired? I have no idea how those laws work but I know for a fact Lego's patent expired decades go, which is the reason why competitors popped up.

If that's America's National Toy, it's not wonder Trump lost to Denmark at Davos.

>K’NEX, partof Basic Fun's porfolio since 2018, began moving manufacturing back to the United States around 2009, when it shifted production of its own plastic toy pieces to its sister company, The Rodon Group, Pennsylvania.
I hope they survive.

You don't have to build a cabin. I had a few sets that my dad picked up from a yard sale and I would build walls, garages and two story buildings. Often would use toy guns or canons to shoot at them and knock them down too or use them to play with my other toys.
