Is there any chance we getting a NEW toy story Woody doll?
I hate the newest Disney Store woody bacause he has these round creepy eyes for some reason...i swear if not eyes i would buy him already because i always wanted Woody but the Signature Collection while being perfect is too expensive. (and it's kind of weird - on Ebay that are tons of weird asian store woodies...something tells they are bootlegs (there is Signature Collection Rex bootleg for example)
What are the chances we getting an new "REPLICA" Woody when the Toy Story 5 comes out?
I need an update!
Also Toy Story toys. Let's talk about all those Buzz versions and rare stuff!

With the new movie and its recent 30th anniversary of the series, I think we'll see more toys coming out soon.
I saw this 4 pack in the stores the other day that I almost bought.
I personally hope Mattel revives the Minis line so we can get new ones of those.

i had no idea those "the best toy story toys" "Signature Collection" toys are so expensive these days...
For example Rex is super rare and goes for $1000+...damn
I remember not buying him when seeing him in store for like 30-40 bucks when the 3rd movie came out...
It's the only Rex that has perfect skin color and scales and size (he's the biggest of them all).
Current disney Store Rex is way too glossy and dark..

we won’t see toys from Thinkway Toys
The company is dead, so now we probably won’t have any full sized figures for the characters outside the Disney Store.
Also this why toy story 3 signature collection toys are so expensive.
And why most of T.S. toy faces look weird/fucked up.
Thinkway toy literally used digital material from Pixar. they basically transferred 3D to plastic for the most accuracy.
Current disney store ones have weird-ass faces because it's just sculpted by somebody...

Hot take but so far, I think the cheap 7 in Mattel line is great. They're not too big or too small, scale well with my Mario figures, and I honestly don't mind the cut corners with Buzz (missing helmet, wings, and back paint) because how he looks in pic related is how he usually looks by default throughout the films.
Happy I have pic related at the very least and hope we get more from the upcoming line besides Jessie and Rex because I'm thinking of replicating the cast from the first movie since it's my favorite. I would have gotten the characters added from 2 but I'm not a fan of the upcoming line "respecting continuity" in giving her Woody's iconic sheriff badge and removing his pull string.
Also, chances of an updated Slinky getting an actual spring instead of that ugly plastic tube?

unfortunately obviously the "main" representation will be the new Woody.
but there are over 9000 versions usually - of course the "Classic" Woody will be coming out as well.
PS:
Right now there are Japanese trio with Samurai Woody and it's so cool.
the main gimmick is that they have both Japanese and English voices.
hearing Woody saying YAMERO!!! (i think he says that meaning "stop pulling my string it tickles!!") - kind of shit is hilarious and cool.
I ordered Woody Cabuto and hope to get Buzz later. Jessie is cute as well

I got Woody as well. Would like Buzz but import shipping sucks.
>>

it's interesting how somehow Buzz face looks kind of anime-japanese-ish... I dont know why. Maybe because of round cartoon eyes they painted in a specific manner
These are definitely one of the most remarkable toy story versions but yeah import prices suck

Were they ever able to make a Buzz Lightyear toy with a bubble helmet that fully retracts like in the movie? I remember when I was a kid all the Buzz toys could only open the helmet part way. The wings were always tiny and lame, too, unless they were detachable. I get that he was a fantasy toy but you'd think by now they'd have a Buzz that can actually do most of the stuff that he did in the movie (though I' understand the karate chop action isn't worth including, and no kids' toy is going to include a working laser).

Oh yeah, they have gotten quite expensive now. I brought the whole collection at retail when they first came out and then a few years ago sold them off. So I managed to get a good price for everything - I think around $900 AUD for Mr Patatohead which was the highest of what I sold.

nice
Now you will never be able to obtain them again, retard.

Oh I'm not really interested in getting them again. They sat in a closet for like 20 years, hence why they were all unopened. It was better they go to whoever wanted them, and getting about $3,500 on a collection that originally cost $300-ish was alright for me.
I've slimmed down my collection a lot and in the end Toy Story wasn't really a franchise I cared about enough to keep figures for.

I really admire the effort they went into with the packaging of these.

>REPLICA
If I had the money and cared about Toy Story, I'd really want the Medicom Real Action Heroes Woody. He got a re-issue a few years ago so maybe when the next movies happens there'll be another.

>Medicom
lame That's like lego AFOL-version of woody.
Woody is a doll with flappy limbs that can't stand on it's own and talks with Tom Hanks voice.
This is a reason why literally nobody talks about Medicom Woody - it's not fun. Even those early goofy looking woodies from 90s-00s are "more true" than Medicom woody
it's wnat a "fake fan" would put under a glass next to Kylo Ren helmet or something like that

Oh no, definitely not making stuff up. It did take a while to sell, I listed them all in 2021 and the last one sold in 2023, but I'm used to keeping figures up on ebay for a long time, and I'm not in America and there isn't as big a buyers base here.

Early Pixar was just for boys because Disney was all faggety Princess and Winnie the Pooh shit.

Not him but I understand your reasoning, don't dismiss it as coping, and am happy it all worked out for you. I'm the exact opposite of you though as I'm arguably more obsessed with Toy Story as I approach 30 than I was when I was a kid and realized that if I had to have any toy representation in my home, it would have to be this franchise and Super Mario above all other entertainment media that I like.

It is a shame that with the current prices, a number of figures in the Thinkway line are out of a lot of people's reach to afford.
