Hiya fucked up the dorsal plate colours.

I will definitely be getting Reptilicus and Giant Claw, and maybe Konga, so long as they don't pull any stylization shit like they did with Pulgasari.
>>
Holy shit, Reptilicus! I still remember that college-lined cutout of a guy getting eaten - I've been telling people about danish glaciers for years but we get a FIGURE now? fuck yeahhhhh
>>
>>11690179
Where can I get a small Shin Godzilla (around 2-3 inches) that doesn’t have a horrendous sculpt and paint job?
>>
>>11690428
You fucked up spelling “color”, filthy limey
>>
how was there no thread for over a week
>>
>>11691385
Because you didn't start one.
>>
>>11690428
Lawls. All this wait and they fuck it up. I'm cancelling my preorder.
>>
>>11691390
true tho. Did anyone pick these up? Thinking about the Battra
>>
>>11691474
>Super7
You couldn't pay me to take these.
>>
>>11690428

>>11691400
‘99 is the worst Godzilla design anyway
>>
>>11690428
No they didn't?
>>
>>11691599
Son of Godzilla says hi.
>>
>>11690179
When is 75 Godzilla going up for pre order?

>>11691550
Is this necanon or a deranged SHMA sycophant samefagging? You have legitimate perception issues.
>>
>>11692120
Looks like we've got an actual retard here. MireGoji's dorsal plates are a dull purple, not fucking candy red.

So far besides the King Ghidorah 1991 figure. the HIYA Toho era figures tend to get downgraded compared to their prototypes upon actual release. 1991 got downgraded (which they legit had to send a separate head of saying sorry we fucked up.), GMK Godzilla got downgraded, and not this.
>>
>>11690428
as expected honestly
hiya continues to show this is a budget line
at least the sculpt didn't turn to mush this time unlike the 91
>>
Shin goji guys are getting a re-release, three of them this time.
>>
>>11692267
>15,400 yen
Ha ha, fuck you.
>>
>>11692267
When was the last fourth form reissue?
>>
>>11692297
Well we're going to get an Awakened Version in February, but the last regular 4th form was the Night Combat version was in 2023.
>>
>>11692306
>no beam effect
What kikery
>>
>>11692321
>>
>>11692319
I know, instead we get a dumb placard. I still hate that this is the only way to get the Awakened Monsterarts Shingoji without paying an arm and leg.
>>
>>11690179
Does anyone have the Pearia Godzilla sets? I haven't seen any reviews.
>>
>>11690428
They’re the same color as the x plus super toho Godzilla 1999 which was 3d scannned from the suit itself and supervised by the suit creator for ultimate accuracy
If anything hiya went above and beyond so cry moar

Isn't this Godzilla supposed to be a mossy green and have different dorsal plates and way bigger hands than that of Minus One Goji?

So did I just miss this? TN's official twitter account is fucking useless, anyone I could follow to keep abreast of these releases?
>>

You can say whatever words you want. When I look at the spine color in that unboxing video my brain says it's wrong. I don't want to display something my brain will say is wrong every time I look at it. Pretty deflating when you've been waiting sooooooo long.
>>
>>11692384
Show me one (1) production photo or a screenshot from the film where they are that colour. Go ahead.
>>
>>11692613
Is it scary that prices like these are feeling like the norm and i barely bat an eye anymore?
>>
>>11692120
You really need to touch grass, holy shit you suck at this.

Got my first kaiju and I think he's cool
I'd like to get king ghidorah at the end of this year

Here's another video that's not as saturated, with comparison images to boot. Still far too red. It's such a shame too, because otherwise the figure looks great.

>>11693092
You need to recalibrate your monitor if you think that's the same as the 30cm or the Hiya.

>>11693165
Or Wakasa, for that matter. The dude can't even match his own sculpts most of the time.
>>
>>11693180
Yeah idk why they decided to change the dorsal plate color either, and honestly might explain why the figures got delayed for a bit because it was probably a last minute decision. Least this time I can just simply paint the dorsal plates to be more of the actual violet/lavender color than the rose pink one they went it. With GMK would have to 3d print a new head all together or at the very least 3d print a new jaw.

Dude, I picked this up at the train station on a whim, and I love it. Great sculpt and paint for the size. Are all the recent HG figures this good?
>>
>>11693373
Why does my nigga Megalon get so little love?
>>
>>11693373
>>11693796
we could've had megalon and titanosaurs, but they want to keep jacking off Ghidorah's bitch ass.
>>
>>11690179
>Giant Claw
I"m interested. What scale is it?
>>
>>11694097
Battle ship scale
>>
>>11694097
All three will be 6-inch scale but final sizes haven't been determined yet. So same as their Gorgo, Yongary, and Pulgasari.
>>
>>11690179
Definitely gonna grab Reptilicus and the Giant Claw.
Konga is a pass. Never saw the movie and gorilla Kaiju aren’t very interesting visually. If you have one, you kinda have them all.
>>
>>11693796
>>11693946
I don’t think vs. Megalon was very popular in Japan, even seen as a particularly embarrassing low point for the series. It’s maybe also seen as an embarrassing low point in the west, but it’s got more of a cult following since, owing to some copyright fuckup, it was regularly aired on TV and found its way into every bargain bin.
>>
Anyone here a frequent beast of the east buyer? If so is it normal for them to take ages to ship a product out after providing a tracking number? I bought something on the 18th and the tracking as yet to change since.
>>
>>11691474
My Battra is in the mail
>>
>>11694159
Fair, though Megalon and Jet Jaguar got fancy 50th anniversary short films, which is more than Mechagodzilla got despite being one of the Big 5 kaiju of Toho. So there is some love for vs. Megalon.
>>
>>11695146
Yeah, I was thinking of those. I wonder if there’s been a bit of a reappraisal recently. Jet Jaguar was also in that Godzilla anime a couple years back
>>
>>11692267
I dont know why people are bitching about the first form being out of scale when it being in scale would mean it'd be tiny as fuck
>>
>>11696254
Isn't it basically just Kamata-kun's tail? Why does it even have its own figure anyway?
>>
>>11696357
Technically it's the mostly unseen aquatic first form, and Kamata is the amphibious second form.
>>
I'm looking for a Mecha Godzilla - any suggestions? Can't find one for the life of me.
>>
>>11696442
What mechagodzilla? Showa, Heisei, Kiriyu, Monsterverse?
>>
>>11696442
Wait for Metal Build Kiryu.
>>
>>11693180
Is Hiya's 1999 Miregoji or 2000 MegarGoji?
>>
>>11693946
I feel like Titanosaurus was held back for the real dinosaur name since Godziban and Chibi Godzilla decided to shorten it down to just Titano. Of course that's also the name of DC's Kong ripoff.
>>
>>11696734
desu, as long as it isn't the american version, I don't care much. Love all the JP designs equally

>>11697415

damn, okay
>>
How are the Super7 Reaction toys?
>>
>>11697810
severely overpriced but fun
>>
>>11697810
>Super7
Overpriced crap.
>>
>>11697810
Pretty cool, but also too expensive. $10 seems more fair for them.
>>
>>11697810
If you can get them on clearance they're whatever
>>
>>11697800
>I don't care much. Love all the JP designs equally
I genuinely cannot fathom having such dogshit taste as to like the Heisei design or the animated trilogy design
>>
>>11691474
My Battra came in. I'm still waiting for Mothra. But Brattra might be Super7's best looking figure. The legs are super fucking stiff so do not even attempt to move them out of the box without nuking it with the hair dryer or dropping it in very hot water. The wings are good, though a bit simple, since they only flap up and down. The head and abdomen have a pretty good range of motion where they connect to the thorax. The stand looks cool, but it's worthless for doing anything dynamic. since it doesn't have a ball joint or hinge. The sitting legs feel totally unnecessary, like they are just there to try and justify the $85 price tag, since the figure is out of scale with the other Heisei Super7 figures Still, I think it's probably worth it for most Heisei collectors looking to have representation for all the monsters from the era, unless you really want to wait 4 to 5 years to maybe eventually get the Hiya Battra or pay $250 for the inevitable SHMA Mothra & Battra duo pack that'll probably be coming this year or next.
>>
>>11699008
What’s wrong with the Heisei design? I have no real nostalgic affection for it (grew up watching VHS tapes of the 60s and 70s movies, only seen Biollante) but in spite of that, Heisei feels almost like the definitive Godzilla design. It just seems to do so many things right. Even if people think it’s overrepresented, I’ve never heard anyone really shit on the design.
>>
>>11699114
He's talking about Mechagodzilla, not Godzilla, and Heisei Mechagodzilla is usually less popular than the rest.
>>
>>11699142
lol, oh right. I am literally not following the thread.
I had a handful of tapes featuring the OG mechagodzilla, but I had a kind of thick, rubbery toy of the Heisei version in the mid 90s, so I’ve never hated the design.
Anyone know what I’m talking about with respect to those rubbery 90s toys by the way? I can’t seem to find any information about them anywhere.
>>
>>11699146
I recall having a rubbery Trendmasters Mechagodzilla.
>>
Picked this up today. Simply put

>One day, Trendmasters decided to bring us a full-blown Godzilla toyline
>Not to cash in on any current movie, but just because it was fun
>We had monsters both Showa and Heisei alike, it didn't matter if their respective movie was available in the U.S. or not yet
>We had different versions and sizes of each monster, plus play sets, battle vehicles, G-Force action figures, trading cards, and more
I miss the '90s, bros.
>>
>>11699435
>tfw they brought the hype of Spacegodzilla.

It's wild to me that we got a poster Mechagodzilla figure from the armored line they did.
>>
>>11699441
>the hype of Spacegodzilla
Just *looking* like the Trendmasters figure was enough for me to buy the Super7 repaint.
>>
>>11699411
Oh damn that’s got to be it. I think I had a similar spacegodzilla. I remember loving the shape of his shoulder pylons.
>>11699441
lol good lord
>>
>>11699411
Oh my god, just watched a YouTube video on this line and I think I had almost every bendable, including the rarer mogeura and biollante. I’d forgotten all about these. I’m also pretty sure I had a couple of those little hatching guys, the rodan and mothra specifically.
>>
>>11699451
Which is really foolish of you. Nobody wants those Super7 figures. They're awful.
