I'm looking for driver/passenger figures for a 1:10 scale RC car (so roughly 7 inch action figure scale) but I've yet to find anything that would be suitable. It's mostly dominated by horror, capeshit and other comics/cartoons, and classic movie characters that would be way too recognizable. I'm looking for more original/generic characters, with at least reasonably realistic styling.
Any suggestions for brands/lines to look out for that might offer what I'm looking for?

There's the problem. 99% of all action figures are derived from various forms of fantasy.

I'm pretty sure those 'dicks' are formless down there, son.

And for that matter, if you are going to recommend older NECA to him, he could go to Ross or Ollie's and pick up remaindered NECA for $19.99.

Your best bet would be to cobble together civvie looking figures released in the last couple of years. DST released a few of them between Westworld, Sin City, and Clerks. Mcfarlane and NECA have a few options too.
