Target's Haulathon will be happening in a couple weeks (if not sooner). This seems to be what we'll get out of the releases this year. All will be first releases and then up for order later on at the usual spots (minus the 87 toon TMNT items).

>>
>>
>>
>>
>>11724102
Not really. Only on certain rubbers, not what gets used here.
>>11724110
No, they didn't.
>>11724112
Yeah dipshit, That doesn't mean it's going to work on a character like Grover.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>11724120
Well no, they didn't fuck anything up. But it's pretty clear you want any reason to bitch. Bendy limbs are not terrible and they're the right choice for Grover.
>>11724121
Okay nutjob. Keep those delusions to yourself.
>>
>>11724087
>only doing an elbow joint is a disservice to the character.
Only including bendy wire bullshit that will disintegrate in 3 months is a disservice to the customer.
They could have included swappable arms with elbows, or even static ones so you can at least have a full figure when the wire arms inevitably break. They could have included both of these instead of the cheapest shit known to man, because it sure as fuck doesn't come with any accessories or have as many paint apps compared to Count, or Bert, or Ernie.
>dipshit
Go fuck yourself, you company cocksucker. You will literally rush to the defense of any garbage this company throws at your feet.
>>
>>11724123
>bendy wire bullshit that will disintegrate in 3 months
It lasts for years dimwit. Be more of a disingenuous troll. And no, they're not doing swappable arms, that's the stupidest fucking idea. The wires aren't going to break, unless YOU do something to break them. Ignorant ass.

The Sesame Street workshop work with them to make these figures dumbass. They send them reference and they OK everything from start to finish. Maybe get a new hobby if you're going to lose your shit over a great looking Grover figure.
>>
>>
>>11724110
Yes. Also the majority of Xenomorphs.
>>11724124
>that's the stupidest fucking idea.
No, the stupidest fucking idea is incorporating bendy wire on the limbs that will be posed the most often.
>>
>>11724121
>I've only been to the Sesame Street Work Shop, right handed for Eric Jacobson in a Global Grover skit, and saw them building the current thinner lower jaw Grover puppet
That’s actually pretty damn cool anon

>Yes. Also the majority of Xenomorphs.

>>
>>11724195
Are you being deliberately obtuse or are you inbred? The plastic around the wire armature degrading and breaking is a part of the issue with this shitty design.
>you'd know that if you bought toys
And if you bought toys or actually did more on this board than run damage control for one company, you'd know this affected SHF Luffy with bendy limbs just last year.
>>
>>
>>
The main issue with bendy wire arms, even moreso than their eventual degradation, is that they're not the easiest to pose. Every single bendy figure I've ever had, I can't get the thing to pose 100% perfectly the way I'm trying to pose it. Like 95% of the arm will be how I want it, but the very first bit of it, under the shoulder, will be aimed in the opposite direction, or something.
>>
>>11724218
>The plastic around the wire armature degrading and breaking is a part of the issue with this shitty design.
That didn't happen. Nothing was deteriorated. Nothing just deteriorates that fast. What is this bonkers ass logic?
>>
>>11724230
>their eventual degradation
Yeah, in like 50 years at earliest. You're insane.
>Every single bendy figure I've ever had, I can't get the thing to pose 100% perfectly the way I'm trying to pose it.
That's a skill issue. Outing yourself like that is weird, but you should work on that.

its funny when people act like he works at neca because the more he posts the less interested i am in neca's output. ten years ago i was a big fan despite all the shortcomings (fucking ball wrists and ankles sucked so bad, shitty plastic, bad qc) and now that most of that has been fixed, i still can't excited because the biggest faggot on earth makes the whole company seem toxic (nevermind that the company/their parent company actually fucking sucks).
>>
>>11724282
>>11724316
Reminder that you're getting pissy because Grover has bendable arms. Which is what works best, and looks best, for the character. You are the problem.

It's pointless that these don't articulate but I assume it's a license cash grab before the new figures of the new kids come out, assuming it's true Mattel has the general commercial license to flood stores with live action tie-ins when the series drops on HBO.

Second time seeing Pee Wee in the wild.
Metaluna Mutant looks good. Was hoping to see Hermann and Grandpa up close but this location isn't good for that. It gets shit but usually just one of two, that quickly gets picked up by the college kids.
Walked out with $100+ in plastic crack but none of it was NECA.

>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>11724642
literally the opposite of what I said. how did you manage to misunderstand that? cloth can move freely and doesn't get stressed when bent, whereas the plastic and rubber used on action figures is more rigid can't hold up to the same treatment without being stressed and damaged
>>
>>11724645
Wrongo. The wire isn't under the same kind of stress. The rubber or plastic prevents that. You would have to CONSCIOUSLY try to damage it by pushing it too far. You're at a greater risk of overdoing a wire in cloth than the rubber.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>11724950
A bendy arm is extremely durable. Unless you try to break it, in which case, that is on you.

People said the same shit about the foam core for the sewer lair when it was first shown, but we've all seen how that played out over time (the bowing). Only time will tell for the Grover arms, but unless they have some brand new tech for wire bendy arms, I'm afraid split rubber is inevitable

I don't think anyone has ever done Critters figures, other than many years ago, I think someone made some small prop/puppet replicas.
I don't think there's really a lot anyone can do other than Ugg, and Lee, and maybe a pack with a bunch of Crites of various sizes. Though, IIRC the 3rd movie (I think the third one..? The one in the apartment complex) tries to pull a Gremlins 2 and has a few that have something happen to them that make them stand out more. I remember one getting part of its head shaved, and one gets burned with bleach so it turns half-gray, so maybe there could be a little variety.

I first watched it when I was a kid. It's directed by the editor for Gremlins, and you can tell her inspiration was to make Gremlins again, but slightly more risque. Like if Troma made Gremlins, but they kept it on the upper level of a PG rating.
Don't expect a masterpiece, but I rate it higher than Hobgoblin.

Yes. Target's website will have them online over the weeks. They do Friday drops at around 8am Central time I think? But it's only a select few (say 4-5 of the items) each week.
So Grover may be up the first Friday, or it may not go up till the last drop. But they update the Haulathon Target page that morning so we'll know what's going up before it goes live.
...does Target ship to Canada? I know there's also the actual Haulathon site that ALSO puts stuff up for international only.
>>
>>11729518
As an international, you'll want this one since Target doesn't shop to Canada.
https://haulathon.com/
Keep in mind that sometimes the drops come in a different order than what Target has, like Tigerclaw might be week 1 on Target but Haulathon will have another figure in it's place and Tigerclaw is week 2 instead. This happened for a couple of things last year.

I hope Neca goes all out on ‘33 King Kong figures and merch when the movie becomes public domain in the next couple years. Their almost-1933 Kong was good, and the creatures packs were fun additions, but without any licensing issues for doing screen-accurate versions of everything they could make even the T-Rex that gets its face snapped.

Enjoy the rest of this year's TMNT x Universal Monsters figures though. You are getting all the figures you deserve.

Dude? Mr. Johnson's a pack in figure with Default Grover. UNLESS they showed it off and canceled it, bringing the examples of canceled stuff they showed up to 8.

Maybe Grover counts as the pack in figure. Mr Johnson does come with an alternate head, and Grover is just one of those cheap Bend 'ems.

I've watched multiple walkthrough videos for NYTF, SDCC, and NYCC, and this is quite literally the only place on the internet that it has been mentioned that they might be released as online exclusives. Is this more made up bullshit like "Metaluna Krang is definitely still coming" which was almost immediately disproven by an interview with Trevor a few posts later?
>>
>>
>>
>>11730490
No, I mean the interview you misinterpret constantly. The one you need to misinterpret to cope with the fact that your claim that Metaluna Krang is definitely still coming was destroyed in the same thread when Trevor said it won't be released anytime soon because it wouldn't fit in the basic figure price range and the entire line has been shelved for now.
Now post your source that they are working on releasing the remaining Gargoyles figures as online exclusives.
>>
>>
>>
>>11730506
He did say HOPEFULLY the line will start up again in a few years and MAYBE they will release those two cancelled figures, but that's it for now. Nothing definite, unlike the statements from Mattel regarding Street Sharks. Nothing that's really open to interpretation, unless you are a schizo that needs to misinterpret what was said and twist it to mean something completely different because you can't cope with reality.
Now post your source that they are working on releasing the remaining Gargoyles figures as online exclusives.
POST.

SOURCE.

All I have done is paraphrase what Trevor said about the TMNT Universal line with as little distortion as possible. You are the one that needs to interpret what he said in a certain way as a coping mechanism.
Now stop deflecting and post your source that they are working on releasing the remaining Gargoyles figures as online exclusives.

Has NECA ever released anything else like the Professor (Perry?) lab two pack for TMNT. All I want is some or most of the lab equipment. I saw some people list the orange coverall suit version of the professor by himself but what I am wanting is lab equipement, not these particular accessories.
The person who posted the universal monsters Frankenstein set with Grandpa and Herman last thread is what actually gave me the idea of looking.
Something like PICREL but not clear Chinese garbage with no design aesthetic. Thanks!
>>
>>11730569
Uhh, I think Perry has the most stuff like that. The first Invisible Man has a few things, so does Invisible Donnie. There's some tubes and glass containers with Grandpa Munster.
Nothing all as concentrated though.

>tubes and glass containers with Grandpa Munster.
Thanks. That's good to know. Shame it's not as much stuff as PICREL - but it all looks like it would work perfectly, and Grandpa could be fun to own.
Professor Perry I could give two fucks about and the body looks too frumpy to use as a random lab coat scientist, I've bought up clearance Marvel Legends Egg Heads for cheap lab coat bodies but could have used one more with a different shirt/tie but Perry looks like he fell out of dumpster truck.
I want that Universal Frankenstein accessory pack table but I suppose I should stop being lazy and use up the foam I have and try to make something first.

We'll probably get Lily, and they'll find a way to milk the Herman mold a couple of more times, and then it will get shelved like Gargoyles, Dinosaurs and D&D. At best, they might make a couple of cheap ass Ben Cooper Munsters figures like D&D got because NECA are intent on flogging that dead horse until it's a puddle of glue.
>>
>>
>>11731370
I'm confident Lily will get a release too, and that could be the stopping point in the line if they don't make any others. Eddie is possible too, but I don't have high hopes for Marilyn unless they maybe pack her with Eddie. I'd say you made a good call on variants as well, racing outfit Herman has a high probability of being made, and I imagine they'll do black & white versions of the figures like they've been doing with Universal.
>>
>>
>>
>>11731355
they can probably reuse that shitty rob zombie version for lily with new heads or something
she won't fucking sell though, hate to say it, but she'll kill any chances of eddie and marilyn when she inevitably shelfwarms

I wanna see this guy argue that Elmo is somehow less popular than actual failed characters from Sesame Street. Like characters that where dropped mid-debut season. Like Deena and Pearl (made because Frank and Jim where busy and couldn't perform Ernie and Bert as often as they could) or Professor Hastings (who was dropped mid season 1, because his gag of falling asleep mid lecture lost the children's attention.)
>>
>>
>>
>>11731805
I love how you hate Elmo so much, you decide to attack a guy who has deep ties with the Muppets and the Sesame Workshop, just to prove you're right.
Which you're not. He's coming 'down the pipeline'. We're getting him before fucking Professor Hastings. Also, stop samefagging.

You knoe who need NECAs? Especially given how as opposed to Gargoyles, they were 100% created as Disney's answer to Ninja Turtles.
But never will due to being in copyright hell after Disney stopped endorsing the team to the point they didn't even appear on Ducktales 2017 or even get a nod like Gargoyles eventually did with the Keith David-voiced stone horse.

Coldstone was featured on the cover of Toycollector magazine and had a feature article. And NECA just said nope. At least give us McBeth and human Demona.
