I'm dissapointed they didn't reveal any new toys or Lego sets yesterday, I wonder if Lego will touch Gen 10? Did anyone get the new Lego sets? Eevee should arrive on Monday, that's the only one I could afford lol

I'm not a lego person so they needed to win me over for me to get the sets and they didn't. The lego regulars who reviewed them all were saying the large bases of the $650 set was making up like half the piece count cost.

inflation. Every big set has always been out of reach. Difference was that there was more sales on most sets because Toys R Us existed. I would even be outpriced by small sets that didnt come in polybags. And even if i did buy huge sets like the Agents Command truck or the Exo Force Combat Crawler X2, they still felt less worth the money

Probably wont see any gen 10 merch for quite a few years. I believe we got the first SV figures about 6 months after the game came out. So we'd probably get figures at 2028 at the latest.
No way Lego is touching any non Gen 1 stuff. They know where the nostalgia bait is.
>>11725448
I believe these are Pokemon Center exclusive products and the tush tags have the generic international stuff on them so its highly likely they'll come to the US at some point.
So far the only thing we will not get is the fat pika by TOMY.
>>11725469
I think WCT took over in 2018 and then got bought by Jazwares shortly after that. So they're coming up on a decade.

>I think WCT took over in 2018 and then got bought by Jazwares shortly after that. So they're coming up on a decade.
Thats separate from Takara Tomy's stuff. Takara Tomy is who does all the Moncolles and other things Japan gets. They've been making Pokemon figures for ages. Tomy USA was doing the toys before WCT but that got taken over by WCT around 2018.

some yes, some no. Gyarados, Venusaur and Metagross are bigger than the 6" boxes and they don't really need any more articulation than what they have. I wouldn't have wanted a smaller Tyranitar tho. I'll sacrifice some joints for the larger size.

>No way Lego is touching any non Gen 1 stuff. They know where the nostalgia bait is.
the Superbowl commercial was hilarious when they had almost all nostalgia-level Pokemon but added a couple new ones in the mix...
Lady Gaga - Jigglypuff!
Trevor Noah - Psyduck!
KPop cutie-- Eevee!
another young actress I don't recognize but she cute-- Gengar!
lots of cute girls play Pokemon! kids probably know who this girl is - um.... Luxray??
Soccer Guy? I bet he's popular or talented - some giant garbage mess? I couldn't even hear the name?
another young guy I'm too old to recognize - oh! the fire-dog-thing! ah! what was that guy's name again??
it's a shame there's like 1000 Pokemon, but "people" only recognize about 20 of them by name and maybe up to 70 with "that's a Pokemon! I think. I don't know what its name is though"

I don't think there's gonna be a better Nidoking or Scyther in the future so maybe those. There will be more Lucario but the blokees one is a perfect size for figma and I'm really happy with it. There could be a better Select Machamp and some company might make a bigger Snorlax.

For a bit more context this is the Japanese release of something China did a few years ago. All the cards come from a single somewhat recent set so the original Charizard isn't gona be made and we don't know if there's more beyond these. They're blind box items for 1800 yen but you can probably find specific ones out there right now from the China release.

Interesting, so you can remove them from their bases. I may actually get Electrode then, as that looks to be a big improvement from his last toy release decades ago.
>>
>>11729348
>>11729474
>In addition, the set also includes two 5-card "Collectibles 151 Journey" booster packs
Taken from the Chinese description of this item. Who knows if the Japanese release will also come with the bonus booster packs.
>>
>>
>>11729348
Why isnt it base set cards? Wtf? They also somehow messed up the poses for Ivysaur and Eggs. That Porygon one is bullshit too. literally just Porygon doing nothing. Feel like we have that exact Porygon in this scale too. Just a waste.
>>
>>
>>11730257
Did they have the stickers? I saw them once but didn't recall seeing it. But if they do then ya, that's the first time. They're probably functionally EB exclusives, so maybe that's why they kept the name?
>>
>>11728402
I'm thinking I might have better luck nabbing this fat bastard the JP Pokemon Center's preorders rather than the NA Pokemon Center's page. The latter is going to be scalped to hell and back, so the preorder page with proxy shipping might be more reliable.
>>
>>11730282
Yea my Noivern box has the sticker. I guess since TRU is dead now they're effectively EB exclusives . Which hopefully means no more waves get skipped cause I'm pretty sure before the idea was that TRU and EB would get alternating waves but then TRU just stopped ordering cause they were going under.
>>
>>
>>
>>11730302
>Seller I first purchased the set from took the money and ran
>JP Pokemon Center is blocking me from accessing it, even with a VPN

Because no product line offers a collection at this scale, you have to search for risky items and hope for the best. Often, the quality is highly questionable and varies depending on the manufacturer. Even with Jazwares alone, there are many ugly toys because the quality isn't there, or unsightly gadgets, or even poorly managed joints that really detract from the product's aesthetics.
This also means there aren't many choices in terms of species, as very few have figures that meet this size requirement.
Pokémon at their final evolutionary stage will have very large figures, not just in height but also in width, length, etc. Six or seven figures the size of a Pokémon like Charizard in 1/12 scale would take up too much space.
Very large Pokémon, at least 3 meters tall, will never have anything available, and it would be too big, even though many popular Pokémon are this size.
I haven't even listed all the problems. It just becomes a desperate struggle to hope for something decent

I don't know, it's just boring.

I personally dont mind having the pokemon not be its canon pokedex size. It doesn't matter if Groudon or Gyarados isn't actually 30 feet or whatever, as long as it's bigger than a human and I can recreate the look of an in-game battle that's good enough for me. I personally like 1:12 just because so many other toys are 1:12 so it's fun to like make pokemon teams for other characters from other franchises. I don't personally mind scale world, you can even use the scale world onix or steelix to pretend they're 1:12. I mainly am mad about the 1/8 trainer figures though since those are just too big and I have no idea why they couldnt make them 1/12 instead.
>>
>>11734232
>I personally like 1:12 just because so many other toys are 1:12, its just oh so kino and makes me feel like a badass. it did save the brand don't toy know? 1/12 is the only acceptable toy scale

Scale World is a good product line. You seem a bit obsessed with bashing a line you don't even collect, which is odd.
However, it has nothing to do with whether or not they have joint. Jazwares is objectively mediocre; just look at the beautiful figures Blokee makes or even 1/12 non-Pokemon products.

>You seem a bit obsessed with bashing a line you don't even collect, which is odd.

>>
>>11734996
>>11734996
I don't know if you're trolling or if you're genuinely retarded, but I never said or implied that your opinion was valid.
My posts weren't referring to Scale World, and yet you constantly bring everything back to that product line.
At this point, you should just see a psychologist; so much hate for something you don't even buy is as ridiculous as it is absurd.
When I criticize Jazwares or the 1/12 scale Pokémon figures, it's from the perspective of a consumer who buys those products.
Whether you collect Scale World or not, it's objectively one of the best lines TPCi offers. The selection is vast, both for trainers and Pokémon, everything is in a consistent scale, and the character sculpts are the most faithful to the original material.
The line has flaws, like all product lines, but they remain relatively minor, and those who collect them aren't dissatisfied or frustrated.
And it would be great if Jazwares, or even 1/12 scale, could fulfill its function properly, as Scale World does so well. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
>>
>>11735091
My guy, he's been trolling about scale world for as long as they have existed, and before that he whined about shodo, because he can't afford them. Stop replying to him and just ignore him like everyone else does. You're only hurting yourself.

I'll want to see how it is first. If its the size of the Lucairo they made a couple years ago that's like 6.5"+ then it'll be too tall for other figs. They are making some like the Scizor shorter than other figs now so maybe they also went shorter with this Mega Lucario
>>
>>11738501
I feel like it might be a little smaller than their last one. With the dangling parts on the mega it could be proportionally smaller with the rest of the body parts. It's like those moncolle where the first stage is bigger proportionally than the evolved form cause the evolved form has to be shrunken down to fit the size with bigger wings, tails etc. But regardless it'll still be around 6" which is still big.

I am considering getting Guile to stand in as LT Surge, still trying to see if theres some sort of generic suit man to be Giovanni and scientist man to be Blaine (maybe Master Roshi?) I'm also planning on getting some figure blanks and making the more obscure trainers that will definitely never get a figure but I am far too lazy to finish doing it
>>

I got the Jada Guile for Surge and since I already had Dragon Stars Roshi, I got a Magmar for him lol
If you're desperate for Gym leader replacements, you could maybe go figma Yomi for Sabrina, Tsukihi for Erika.

Meanwhile there are ZERO Etsy sellers making Aggrons who arent too lazy to sand off the filament texture on their 3D prints

filament prints will always have the ugly texture even if you sand it down. You have to fill those creases with wood filler or putty but then you need to paint over all of it anyway so it makes printing with colored filament pointless. Resin casts and resin printed parts are the only way anything will truly look smooth. I think all the Aliexpress resin statues are cast by hand and hand painted or sprayed which is why they are expensive

Nobody. The spinoffs never get merch from the main companies making things.
Jazzwares has a metallic Dittto out at Target right now. I saw it in the electronics section with the Gyarados set. That's probably their Pokopia merch contribution
