No, that wasn't me. Mattel can't *take* the license from NECA because that would violate the prior agreement Paramount/Viacom have with NECA. I did mention the possibility of licenses with other companies not being renewed soon after the Playmates news first broke, but that was my own speculation. That's my picture but not the nearest large Target to me. The one nearest me is the largest in the County and it sold almost all their Harry Potter save for one HP and one Snape. They have sold all their old Pee Wee and a bunch of Turtle stuff. They don't have the new Pee Wee, I had to go to the northern suburbs (Glendale) to buy that in hand (lately, Target has been fucking up my delivery packaging - which is fine for Chinos or towels, but not for a boxed collectible. Sometimes all they put in are inflated pillows and no paper or bubble wrap.)

There are two other large stores I hit regularly, the snapshot is the large store near downtown and the USC students, but it's not really a large store, the location determines that it has a collector's corner and apparently the NECA asshole only shows up once every six week to stock it, but DT Los Angeles would be a fucking pain for a delivery driver to deal with - especially if deliveries weren't your normal job and you didn't hit the location regularly like a UPS or FedEx driver would. Every other store is in a mall or by a freeway or both.

I can't find Potter in any other store. I can't find any Herman or Grandpa in person. All the Batman, Catwoman, Penguin is gone.

Some of the Universal Monsters are hit and miss, depending on location. Other stuff is definitely peg-warming - Coroline and Not Dad are still clogging up the plushie section. Bevis and Butthead, likewise.

I did pick up April at Ross, to use as a custom female, she was only $9.99, pink tagged from $16.99. The only thing new NECA was more ET and more NECA Gargoyles Goliath. Oh and the Thing. I had to hunt to find an April so was happy to find old stock, since I would have paid the $16+.
