I'm home and exhausted. I was stuck in that 3 hour line for Garry Chalk to sign my TM1 Primal. I commend him for making it to the show despite the flight delay while recovering from chemo therapy and showing up for the fans and having to put up with signing so much crap and getting up to take photos over and over.

After that I just sold stuff I didn't need anymore in the lobby and had some fun conversations with random people about hasbro and what they'd actually make a new mold and not a reissue or retool from WFC/Legacy. Most people seem to agree we're probably getting a new Arcee because ER was so bad they just retooled T30 for ss86. Kup and Blurr also suck and need revamps.

Tired, but my haul for today was:

I love my SS86 Devastator so much - it's a crown of my collection...BUT...
I really want to play with Constructicon but i have this stupid autism that tells me that i have to have devastator all the time.

Also i want Hook/Longhaul and they are the hardest parts to separate/construct... every time im doing it - i think i will break some of pegs/connections.

Considering how tight it is and how thin that area is, some recommend unscrewing it and shaving the green post until it's tight, but not too tight. Step1: studio series is now THE collector line. It's even expanded a little so it can include any "show accurate" design. They're already doing it with g1 and the games, just embrace it already.
Step 2: generations is split. Half of the waves will be current year show tie ins, just a higher quality, and more detailed, less gimmicky. Leave the cheap stuff for the regular show tie in toys
Step 3: new tv show: a very generic cybertron is thrown for a loop when quintessons use their spiral ship to burrow deep into the heart of cybertron. Both autobots and decepticons go to stop them, only to find them slipping into a portal. The portal goes dim, and suddenly cybertron does too. The bots come back to the surface only to find it's apocalyptic. Sweeps everywhere, chunks of cybertron missing. Prime asks what happened only to be answered by vector sigma, who explains the quintessons have run amok through time, eliminating the influence of the 13, resulting in unicron taking over the universe.
Vector uses his power to charge the portal and let autobots and decepticons stop the quints.
Every episode is about righting some specific incident, which let's them meet tons of one off characters from all different eras of tfs. They get to build lore, and touch on alternate timelines like shattered glass or alternate versions of characters, like car arcee vs motorcycle arcee.
The toys will tie old and young fans together.

They didn't play loose with scale at all, the models were always exactly the same relative size.. what they did was if the shot was a close-in, they'd adjust the characters' heights by making one float or one sink into the ground, so they looked right for the scene. Classic film technique. standing in trenches or on orange crates.

Ended up modding my hoist be like the new ratchet where half of the giant arm panels are on the legs.

To me SS86 Optimus has a very satisfying transformation. I know the backpack is a bit bulky but considering it's most of the truck's "face" and is able to compress into a small rectangle makes it very impressive and memorable to me.

Any European Transformers Blokees fans?
I'm heavily collecting these-blokees are so cool but...I noticed that we mostly have earlier releases.

So...i'm wondering how Blokees releases even appear outside of China?
Surely not in time (right now the newest galaxy blokee is Galaxy 9, right?)
Because we still have some Grimlock-wave boxes and i was so happy chasing Grimlock because he's difficult to get online.

I collected most of Grimlock's wave BUT...where the fuck is the middle of this wave?
We now have mostly GALAXY 8 everywhere. I didn't see that much of the previous waves... It's mostly Galaxy 8 and some leftovers of very early waves.
The distribution is just weird I guess?
Also it's kind of difficult to follow all these "Galaxy 1-2-3-4-5/etc" and "Defender 1-2-3-4-5/ect." - it makes my brain fry - too many waves and it feels like chaos.

I guess it doesn't feel like that if you live in China and get a new wave when it's released but it Europe it's weird...
