Clesnfag here. Went to my first local munch yesterday. Super nervous. Got seated next to a dude who had yellow crust on the sides of his nose that went up and down like several centimetres. There's no simple answer, but it's not just diaper artists. You go look into any art community, and huge amounts of them are jobless, constantly broke, constantly moving between houses. Having known some, many of them refuse to work outside of drawing art, but don't commit themselves to their art enough to make money. These are the types of artists that charge way too much, want 100% payment up front, and will ghost you for months about progress on your commission, all the while they're online posting about how they need more commissions because they can't pay rent but can't get a job because of some nothingburger "disability" that they overplay 99% of the time. Not all, but many if not the majority of them, simply refuse to get real jobs, refuse to actually commit to art, and just want everything to fall into their lap, and live their lives barely affording groceries, barely affording rent, always worried about a bill, and it's always their own fault.
The reason the most successful artists are that way is either because;
1: They are an amazing artist, probably best in their art-niche, and still undeniably talented beyond 99% of people
or 2: They pump out commissions nonstop, several a day sometimes, 24/7/365.
The other artists want to be paid like they're great at art, or sell tons of commissions, but they are neither.
Diaper artists in particular are bad because (I hate to say it, I love you fellow /trash/ diaper-bros) the diaper/ABDL community in general attracts more mentally unwell people, and that's seen in the artists as well.
