Finished this off, I went and played around with the ordering of the chapter, but I think it worked. We see some portraits for Cameron this chapter.

Basically it's sort of my take on anime action series, meant to be pretty light stuff, but I think it's good and could use some eyeballs on it, please check it out.

So I had a bit of inspiration last night for the Cursed Clussy Carnival which I think I want to work on next, but I think I need help organizing it.

Recent events had me thinking about journalism, and then the old 'intrepid reporter' archetype that you don't really see now adays. I think partly because the news industry changed, but also peoples civic values, and I figured it would be fun to take advantage of the circus' nature as a time-capsule and include one.

Figuring that they would work for the local newspaper in the Circus (the 'Funny Pages'). Maybe she has the nickname 'Big Nose' cause she's a nosey reporter? I like the idea that she has a femboy photographer that she drags around with her. Maybe they use the names 'Lois and Clark'? I'm thinking of like Lois from the original Superman- a sassy broad.

I'm figuring how to include them in the current arc because it would help with the investigative theme.

Way I've been thinking on it is that I have three 'persons of interest' that the main characters are looking for, and this would be a fourth. One is Vinny who is clearly up to no good. Another is the 'big-wig' previously mentioned who won't be seen until later but I was figuring we could get some intel on this chapter. The third is Detective Shades who they are looking for.

I think I'd like to introduce the reporter this chapter, but I'm not sure how I should handle it. I was previously thinking that while Cal is at the Chinese restaurant he sees Vinny trying to sneak in with him expecting Cal to help him out. And the owner of the restaurant mentions some stuff about the 'big wig'. But I'm wondering how I can fit in the reporter in between this, I like the idea of them being a big nuisance in trying to pick up a scoop. It could be funny to do a parallel with her and Vinny actually.

I've read femdom stories before. They never read like a real book. This one does. You never get a real plot. Only no plot, silly plot, or campy. This one does slice of life/mild romance outside of the erotica content in this first volume. But the second volume introduces a dark heavy gritty noir plot. Third volume continues the genre morph and its a dark gritty hardboil noir. The second and third still deliver the erotic content, but it has to give some to allow room for the plot building. But the first volume is an over the top fetish erotica. Reviews and commenbts seem to center around two main styles...

or
"well written, intelligent dialogue" etc etc.
so far, all readers that like femdom stories, none have been complaining.
Its free to read, so don't take my word for it.

Hard to say if Cameron fared better, but more strength on low health is always a big gamble.

What comes to mind is one of the families trying not to get into a feud with the other, not because of racism, but because the reporter will always be there, every time, without fail, to catch it and make it sound racist in her news report. Would it be the reporter's fault or the interpreter?

I'm figuring they are very annoying, but they don't do yellow journalism. They harken back to an era where journalism was very civic-minded. They're more of a muckraker (purposefully looking for the seedy underbelley to dredge it up and expose it).

That's good but I'm wondering how I might handle that in the specifics.

I'm also thinking that it could work for going to the Mexican restaurant next chapter if I have competing leads with the Reporter and Vinny for them to follow. Since they're gonna go there anyway, and I realize I lacked a chapter choice.

Perhaps there's a lot more business in the Chinese restaurant because the third business is currently being looked at by the reporter for the deets. This does push some customers away from there to other spots. It's a nice benefit until they start going to your restaurant though...

I was thinking of noting that the restaurants are pretty empty because of the recent murder in the area. This helps with a spooky theme, and also saves on me animating some stuff. I specifically had the door-greeters call attention to it, which led to a whole conversation I just wrote.

Now I'm currently thinking how I might create a bit of a narrative parallel with the Reporter and Vinny. I was thinking one of the family (a tiger themed girl) has the unnofficial job of security. And the other is the inexplicably hot janitor that also knows kung-fu. Both could be characters dealing with intrusions to the restaurant, I'm just wondering how I should do this.

Basically going off the tip from last chapter I was thinking Cal asks to check the 'back room service' where he's taken to Nainai Long, but the 'back room service' is just a palm reading while she keeps yappping. But in the midst of this there are some hints to some other stuff going on. Cal maybe needing to keep her attention on him while the other two are doing stuff could be fun, but I probably can't do both at once.

I figured I'd post half the chapter tonight, and figure out what I want to do for the second chapter, but it's late, so hopefully I finish tomorrow.
