It's a shame more towers like this weren't built. The best by far was New Brighton Tower

If the UK was based, they'd build a bigger Eiffel Tower in Dover or Folkestone to assert dominance.

Went there during the storm back in October (PlayExpo, which was pretty decent itself). The winds were insane and the waves out in the sea were probably 10ft high. Thank fuck I was indoors long enough to ride out the worst of it.
As for the place itself, it's very much in need of a lick of paint. Very run down and even the more modern town centre is a kip. That said there is still a charm to it and if touched up it could be great for day trips.
The people are what you expect for a rundown place, mixed with odd types and flaming homos.
Didn't get to go on any rides because of the weather but they look like your standard fare.
Bought some rocks (pretty interesting but surprisingly hollow, maybe that's the cheap ones I got). Shoutouts to the lad selling £1 burgers, they're shit but not too much worse than McDonalds.

They actually started building one in London, named Watkin's Tower. The first level was built in 1896, but demolished by 1907. The site is now home to Wembley Stadium.

Pic related is the final design, compared [to scale] against the Eiffel Tower
