So far my opinion on the places I’ve visited

Tokyo
>spent 10 days (first two days by myself before my wife showed up, got a Thai hooker. Do not recommend desu). However Tokyo was super fun, did most of the tourist things. Shibuya, shinjuku, akihabara, Ginza, stayed in asakusa. Even went and got grilled eel in the old edo district, and went to that theme park near Mount Fuji (it was so so).
Realistically, you only need 5 days for Tokyo, but my wife is a slow turd soo.

Hong Kong
> spent 5 days staying with my wife’s rich aunt. Got to stay in her old school but nice Hong Kong apartment. Got taken to a lot of really nice dim sum places and the aunts live in house keeper cooked us breakfast everyday. Honestly Hong Kong is super small and you could do everything in 2 days

Guangzhou, china

>tied for my favorite place with Japan. It’s super hot, but incredibly clean and beautiful. There a decent amount of things to do, and it’s definitely a rich person’s society. However, you can eat cheap at the food hawkers and there a lot of free attractions and vibrant neighborhoods too visit. We stayed with her cousin, who has a place in the suburbs. Super nice place and they drove us around the first day. Had an amazing time with their family. Genuinely considering retiring there (you can get a mortgage in Singapore as a foreigner).
Singapore has convinced me that diversity can work, if you actually enforce the law, that’s all I say about that. You only need 3 days max to visit.

Currently back in Guangzhou, but staying in a hotel, and we plan on taking a train to Shanghai later. Then chengdu (to visit my mother in law) and Chongqing.
