A lot of the helmets in AKotSK suck ass, some much more than others, but thank fuck Lyonel's hat is barely visible for the most part because it's the worst offender by far. The only reason I can think of that it exists is because they wanted to include Lyonel laughing during the fight and had to make the holes big enough to see his face, but even then just give him a fucking visor.

Eh. Targaryen helmets are fine, you'd probably want a helmet with a solid faceplate for jousting, but the barbute thing most of them have going on is fine since it's more of a mixed event. Aerions helmet is on the edgy side but it's mechanically fine and in-character honestly.
Kingsguard too, even if their little head spike is silly. Both theirs and rest of Targaryens actually seem to share a similar design with a removable front plate that goes over their mouth slit.
Raymun gets a real, if outdated great helm to go with his coat of plates. Fine, considering he was a squire fifteen minutes before.
Steffon has a nice apple themed armor and a bit weird helmet, but also fine, though I don't think we get a single decent look at it.
Hardyng helmet is also beliveable, also probably one of only helmets with a proper chain collar, which helps since the sides of the neck are rather exposed.
Beesbury gets an enclosed helm which is extremely primitive technologically but honestly, who cares, it's fine.
The crazy retard Rhysling gets just chainmail which... is stupid, but that's just his character.
There's also tons of great background helmets during previous episodes.
And then there's whatever the fuck chamberpot bullshit Lyonel has on his head, completing the otherwise beatiful plate armor he has. What the fuck.

Wardens were in charge of defending a certain part of the Kingdom in case of foreign invasion. They'd be the supreme commander of those forces so all the lords of that region would have to follow the warden's orders.

That would be the most pathetic of all possible endings for this saga, far worse than merely dying without finishing the books, which is completely O.K.
