I can, but only in a weirdly specific dynamic where they had a bad relationship when the daughter was a child because the daughter was a huge brat and the mom was overcontrolling, but by the time the daughter is an adult they've both mellowed out and are willing to be much more open with each other emotionally (and sexually). I also like momdaughter where the dad dies early and the daughter feels the need to take his place as the mom's partner.

I love mother/daughter so much because of how it warps the unconditional, nurturing nature of a mother's love into something so much more romantic and intoxicating. I think part of it is a guy not knowing what a mother and daughter's real relationship is actually like, but the way he writes it makes it ripe for incest potential. Decided to go through the archives a bit for myself to see what's really up. That would be Insecure Herami Sisters. I actually really like the MC of that one. There's some great pathos in Sera's journey from aspiring idol to least popular waitress in a maid cafe, and the fact that her little sister Kira adopted her dream and actually succeeded gives her all sorts of layers of conflicting feelings. I'd describe the status quo as "severe codependence with light sexual tension." Her sister is unfortunately pretty one-note, though, which for me weakens the series more than the silliness. Kira is a bit too untethered from reality and most of her appearances boil down to gags about how obsessed she is with her sister. I guess it's still entertaining enough that I haven't dropped it, but I would have loved a series with a similar setup that takes things even a little more seriously.
