That guy was in Team Fortress Classic on the Hunted maps, known as the Civilian / VIP. The Hunted maps were essentially the red and blue team escorting the Civilian to some sort of checkpoint at the end of a map while the yellow team(snipers) tried to kill the civilian.

Medic's healrate was already absurd. Being able to heal multiple people at a time is broken. Also it encourages deathballing to maximize its heal output which leads to cancerous overwatch like gameplay.

Does not matter. The massive teamwide health difference will quickly snowball out of control and lead to a huge momentum and numbers advantage crushing any defense they have. Also the uber is one of the best counters to sentry spam letting you uber your entire team if you want with no flash penalty. Looking at badwater just imagine throwing an uber bubble right onto the point and your entire team drops down into it and slaughters red.

There's a flexible custom weapon system, all of the live TF2 weapons can even be re-enabled to varying degrees of functionality, though the devs probably will pump out content faster now that they're done with porting and legal shit.

I hope they don't bother with vanilla TF2 weapons. Right now the weapon choices are stark and meaningful. Night and day different from their counterparts. TF2 guns are mostly like "this gun gives you crits but only during a full moon on a wednesday but otherwise works completely the same as the base model." Fuck that.

A sniper spamming jarate from spawn is not a major benefit to his team. Someone actually sniping targets successfully is a way bigger asset. If this is actually doing him any good, they're probably just mercilessly being spawncamped and they're trapped inside the sliding doors.

Gas passer timing is not a solution. It's still massive value that sniper did nothing to earn. Soldier doesn't get his buff banner for free why should sniper? Sniper is already very strong with no unlocks he does not need a throwable this good.
The many other problems with jarate
>Radius is ENORMOUS at 200hu. For comparison rocket splash is 149hu.
>Lasts for an extremely long time. You can throw this as a final fuck you to your killer and it's very likely someone will finish them off before it wears off.

Sniper gives up his only non-primary to equip it. If you could dowse enemies and then chip at them with SMG, that would be way more dangerous. But no, he actually has to hit his targets, unlike soldiers with buff banner. If you want to say the radius should be smaller, OK. Fine by me. It probably won't save him against the direct combat classes either way though.

Jarate was a mistake. It turns a class already oppressive in the right hands into a one-man support/killstreak generator with a throwable that's harder to dodge than half the game's explosives. Why does it last 10 years and paint enemies with “shoot here for bonus damage” signs? And the bushwhacka synergy? Straight up deleted if you blink the wrong way near a corner.
It’s not just a “cheeky tool” like people pretend- it’s a get-out-of-jail-free card, a teamfight tilting nade, and a “you don’t get to play spy anymore” button all rolled into one. If this were on literally any other class people would riot.

I've mostly been playing VIP. Pretty similar to no unlocks TF2 but heavy and demo are both very strong. AA cannon and minelayer are infuriating to play against. I've seen more than 1 demo use lineups to fire mines over buildings to create traps from across the map and there's nothing you can do about it. AA is also very hard to punish because the splash on the explosion punishes corner peeking.

i never understood what's so bad about the map. the central area is really open, the vents are fucky, the stairs to spawns are not found on any other map, spawncamping with sprays is a hallmark (the entire map is just made for looking at sprays) and the large hallways towards the intelligences with the windows and the elevated parts are again very unique
