Different versions being optimised to what the hardware can handle.
PC's can be the most powerful option and the lest powerful when running a game. I don't know if there's a steam deck preset for graphical options but it's obviously got too much enabled.
The presets for any consoles should be very specific because the hardware is always going to be the same so it can be fine turned to get the best of every single option without giving a worse experience.

There's constant disinformation.
Basically Nintendo just put out their quarterly sales figures. Their latest console managed 17 million sales in about 7 months which is an all time record. Someone upset by this is making round the clock threads about how the numbers are a lie, X game flopped or whatever else.

So now you can't have a simple discussion about the numbers or what they might be working on next, its instead an argument about cultists and trying to disrupt the flow of discussion to make any discussion as hard as possible. Since nobody wants to spend all day disproving someone only here to make stuff up or say everything in bad faith, eventually the thread goes quiet and they start another hate thread to repeat the whole ordeal.

thats a funny thing, considering you monkeys literally try to compare the steam decks framerates DESPITE not having an optimized version for that said game, to another handheld that had been optimized and had special version of the game so it can run on the switch 2 smoothly plus a nivida chip that boosts framerates which the steam deck doesn't have.

Switch 2 slightly eeks out above the deck but also Outlaws on PC doesn't allow you to turn raytracing off.
Its always been the case that console ports run on lower than lowest PC settings.

Console war niggers are having a melty trying to cling on to any negative spin on the sales report that they can. The only one that's worth taking seriously is that the attach rate seems underwhelming and that the software sales are going to miss their forecast as a result. Currently they've sold 37.9 million units of software with a forecast of 48 million by March 31. Part of it is the pricing but also aside from Mario Kart none of the typical big Nintendo releases. I think it'll fall short, probably like 43 million.

Hardware wise it's doing good so far, only needs to ship 1.7 million more to hit its March forecast.

I'd also guess that some of the software underperformance comes from Nintendo expecting Switch 2 Editions of older games to do far better than they have. It's telling that the only Switch 2 edition to break 1 mil sales was the crossgen release of Pokemon ZA.

Either way, looking forward to Nintendo potentially taking measures to boost software sales. Hopefully I'll get some good deals out of it.
