I still think it's something that should never have been put on Reboot worlds. Exp is way harder to get than with frenzy on reboot, and we barely get frags as is from wapping anyway, the exp being sold is a huge factor because of Reboot FD as well. You are getting 2% fd from passive and 2% FD on bosses until 290, 4% fd per level is more than the switch from 22 arcanes to 22 eternals. People are paying for power directly on Reboot with sauna.

Looking for any info before I commit on this plan
I just came back to maple after 10+ years. Made a new account and started up on Kronos. Made a DA and tera hyper whatever burned it. In the week or so I've been able to put in time, its currently sitting at 240 and maybe ill reach 260 before Feb 2nd. If not, w/e. Not the biggest fan of the class, just wanted that link skill and what I thought would make some content easy. Ive put in the work where I am able to start doing things like chaos horntail, chaos zak, hard hilla. Aiming to be able to do all CRA before my challenger gear expires which at this point should be easy.
However since its not really my ideal class, I want to explore other options without wasting too much time. I realize that the CW2 still goes on for awhile and if I progress far enough, I should be able to grab some goodies. My first thought is to make a Nightwalker on the challenge world and focus my efforts on that once my burning expires on my DA. Is this reasonable, and anything to take into consideration? Wanted to make a nightwalker/night lord since in all my years I never progressed far enough. I know a link skills mule would make more sense (have a Mercedes on kronos now too that I've lvled a little but that's it) but I also figured since mobbing is a chore on NW, then the accelerated pace to bossing on CW2 should help.
Will I be able to hyper burn my NW on CW2 still? Or am I limited to 1 per event across all worlds? Sorry for the stupid questions this game has become overwhelming with all of its new systems.
In the pipeline I also wanted to make a bishop but not sure if I have the time investment and/or if its the better pick for my first CW2 character.

if you've been playing since november you have a second hyper burn from the check-in, if not don't worry about it

Tldr: small 1 line of code from the device of idle (not official nexon?) Caused lower values in range on hero ability rolls to be morw prominent so it was a completely equal random probability. More often than not youd roll closer to 800 main than 1200 main stat on a 800-1200 main stat range for a roll for example.
I personally still got nearly max rolls so the rates were not heavily skewed, but fair enough tk say not as advertised.
As a result seems like you can either lose your account but claim and receive a full refund OR be happy with the generous compensation. Like double your money back if your directly spent anything medals of honor or ability passes and associated.
Its definitely not a good look because they shadowed patched the fix back in Dec 6th. But what is more interesting is I see a lot of the big whales talking about doing a refund because at this point, the rush has slowed down a lot so its an easy way for them to get their money back now. Personally doesn't bother me and im happy with the comp but whatever. I can get why some may be mad.

so who is selling the accounts
one thing I do know is you can make several accounts on the same information, maybe around 5 different maple accounts I'm not certain on the number, but one thing changseop did is only one person can buy passes on the account, this impacted mr kobe because his kms account is tied to one person for multiple people playing

they need to make it so the bosses actually match the area, makes no sense why you're hiding a boss stronger than bm at 260 when BM is 275, then kalos is at 270 but also harder than BM and needs you to be at least 280+, kaling at 275 but realistically need to be 285+
people just watch the story cutscenes for these bosses and forget they exist because it takes years to get the gear to do them

im waiting for the reddit chart of what bonuses to level up first cus its a complicated event with 3 types of exp stats to increase, its like 1 lowers the exp gained but gives more time, one lowers the exp gain but makes the exp tick more faster and the last one just increases the exp gained, and then there's passive bonus effects based on having each one at a certain level
honestly this event is fairly meh generally but idc cus I play everyday all day anyways

the adv exp vouchers are pretty busted and the erda is nice for my mules
but by the wording it seems like it'll have a cumulative reward ala tweenteena's furniture stuff rather than good rewards, its an exp proc skill too so I guess I can cope that might be juicy
with kms having giga exp sources now gms might be able to be more lenient about busted exp early before crown maybe
but yeah compare kms event rewards of advanced exp tickets compared to what twenteena gives and its very obvious its quite busted

That's why Heroic is better, even if you can kill higher lvl bosses on reg it doesn't mean anything since you get no mesos for it and rely on drops. I think the daily erda was more busted for being able to use it on multiple characters daily but it was only really for reg since it was just erda daily, I think I absolutely got more hexa on all my mules than nexon would want so I see why its a weekly now (I say this because I compare kobe's mules of 55k hexa to mine of around 70-75k hexa)
I just see it as nexon wants you only working on one character at a time hexa wise, I think 90 frags weekly is still way too low for you guys and I think its crazy that frags aren't account tradeable there, like 9 erda on average needs a lot more than 90 frags to use
with my grinding this month I just transferred all my erda to 1 mule until I did the hseren champ mission on it and then I'm giving it to another mule now, I was giving renny in cw the erda weekly since release until about 2 weeks ago but once I hit challenger I figured it was kinda dumb to keep investing while in cw, I don't actually need to get stronger there for any reason, so I'm just gonna continue investing into it once it leaps

sometimes the lasers and other attacks line up so that you're basically guaranteed to get hit unless you have an iframe ready.
i did manage to clear though, first time overall and first solo at the same time. only worthwhile drop i got looks like a little bm figurine that i can put in a jar and cum on. damien also dropped a shield during the last few drops of the same althea piss bottle but i have no use for that.

which attacks are you talking about, I stand near bm and place a fountain down, for purple rollings I try to keep bm a lil away from the right wall so I have room to upjump blink there and be safe but you can just hold over him, only issue is if hes doing fma down at the same time you die doing this in that case yeah its an i-frame angle
falling white meteors are annoying for sure but just gotta time dashes well, its fine to tank a laser hit every once and while thats what the fountains for but just not the cross beams thats double dmg, having the black curse on you gives you 10% fd so it actually makes ur run faster if u have black curse on while bursting
fma up I just upjump blink or stand on a platform, fma down I usually try to i-frame or run left to a big platform, I die to fma down most often on non-dark sight classes
besides that its just getting the rhythm down of his kicks and doing everything else in between, I'll just stand up and wait for his kick to duck if I wanna do something safe like replace fountain

In past Inkwell Notes, Inkwell showed a great understanding of the happenings in the game and community as well as giving future solutions to issues the community is facing. Even with lots of feedback through several avenues (Discord, Reddit, YouTube videos), the majority of these issues were not even touched on in the latest Inkwell Note and it felt like it was used primarily as a promotional spot to generate more hype for Classic World.
The majority of this document reflects criticism from a casual player’s viewpoint, intended to represent issues commonly experienced by the broader player base.
Why take this point of view? Whales and giga-grinders in Maplestory will always overcome any wall that is presented to them through sheer will of grinding (or also money in the case of Interactive). Whatever benefits the casual players will nearly always benefit the End Game players just as much, but the inverse is often not the case. This document focuses on increasing quality of life for all players as much as possible.
Over the last few months, there has been a lot of discourse within the community regarding issues unique to GMS and I have been trying my best to keep track of them. With the help of Maplestory subreddit posters, Discord community discourse, my own play experiences and content creators I have curated a list of issues that hopefully people in the Nexon America team (Inkwell, Calahan, etc.) can take a look at.
A huge thank you to all of you in the subreddit and other communities who take the time to voice your criticisms in a meaningful manner. I strongly believe that voicing our opinions as a collective is the best way to work with Nexon to create a better GMS.
>>
RNG Trust At An All-Time Low
There has long been speculation within the community that Nexon uses dynamic RNG in Maplestory to adjust rates over time. Since Nexon has never released numbers for things like boss drop rate, these discussions were mainly speculative, based largely on observed trends and the fact that Nexon holds a patent on Dynamic RNG.
However, in recent weeks, there have been two Maple Memos confirming that RNG rates were altered, with Nexon stating that these rates were unintentionally nerfed. First was the Arcane/Absolab Armor/Weapon Boxes, followed by Star Speck Boxes being nerfed.
While these nerfs may not have been intentional, their confirmation has significantly impacted player trust. This is even further discouraging when in 2021 Nexon was caught rigging their cube rates and flame rates for years and spent the next several years trying to earn back player trust. It was also discovered a week ago in the new Maple Idle (mobile Maplestory) that a certain line that players paid money to roll was technically impossible to roll! When rate changes are discovered only after prolonged community concern, without prior transparency, it only reinforces the perception that RNG systems are rigged against the player. For casual players especially, this uncertainty makes progression feel discouraging. The meme that the community likes to repeat is that “if it benefits the players, it will be immediately fixed in minutes. If it doesn’t benefit the players, bugs or fixes take forever.” It is frustrating to have game breaking bugs stay in the game for days/weeks.

The prevailing assumption is that allowing Cash Shop items to be freely shared would reduce spending since players would only need to purchase items once. Even if this concern is valid, this is a flawed and short sighted strategy by Nexon.Nexon America has failed to recognize that when players are treated well, many will respond by engaging and spending more willingly. The majority of GMS players were already well aware of UCS having been implemented not just in Korea, but other regions like Maple Sea thereafter. The GMS community was waiting with bated breath for UCS to be ported. The disappointment across the GMS community when UCS wasn’t implemented was palpable. As a result, many casual players have chosen to stop spending entirely, due to the frustration with having to repeatedly repurchase the same Cash Shop items across multiple characters. Rather than encouraging spending, this approach creates irritation and discourages long term investment.
The current GMS Cash Shop strategy built around class division, FOMO (fear of missing out) tactics, and reliance on whales to spend large amounts of money reflects an outdated and despised monetization model. Even KMS, the most heavily monetized region, has somewhat recognized this and loosened the restrictions by adding UCS.
Additionally, the current GMS approach of having Cash Shop transfer events only twice per year is extremely outdated. In KMS, for almost two years leading up to the introduction of UCS, a Cash Shop transfer event was held on the first weekend after every patch. This effectively meant Cash Shop transfers on a monthly basis. By contrast, Nexon America’s reliance on infrequent transfers only reinforces a strategy of “creating a problem and then selling the solution,” which feels deceptive to players and ultimately breeds consumer resentment rather than goodwill.

GMS Server API
Several years ago, KMS introduced a public API that allows for live player data tracking. The MapleStory community widely uses websites such as Maplescouter.com, which leverage this API to help players track their progress, compare relative strength for bossing, and plan their progression more effectively. This tool has become a major quality of life resource in regions where it is available.
Players in the Western community have been requesting access to this feature for years. More recently, MapleSea implemented this API as well, yet GMS has still not received access to this functionality.
Inkwell, you previously asked the community for time to assemble a team capable of developing features tailored specifically to the Western audience. Nearly two years have passed since that request. At this point, it would be reasonable to either see progress on initiatives like this or, at the very least, receive clear communication on whether such a feature is being actively worked on.

i kept getting pinned to the ground by the lasers only to then get hit by a train of rolling attacks or the small explosions. depending on the timing it was sometimes possible to jump away but mostly it just got me kicked into some other attack. i found blinking in the air to work poorly since the kick apparently has a way taller hitbox than you'd expect. i'd wager dodging attacks would be fairly easy with ren's bunny hops but WA's air dash seemed to be too slow to outrun pretty much anything. the fmas weren't too bad except for when bm was camping a platform and kicked me away when i tried to jump up. the white attack is easier to dodge since you can just keep ducking.

nseren is crazy easy compared to bm; I'd consider hSeren more comparable to BM, but for whatever reason, the CW scoring considers nseren and bm on par with each other. Hell, eKalos is easier than BM, but he gives more points
seren p1 is literally harder than p2, because those faggy light pillars are relentless, but don't get discouraged if you get hit by them - panic dodging into more shit is even worse than eating one light pillar. try to use blink to levitate in the air when you're about to gauge, and you'll retain the stun in the air so long as you hold it (This does not stop the game from popping light pillars under your position repeatedly however). meteors do not build gauge, so don't worry about them too much.
as for p2
pretty sure radial laser in yellow phase of p2 doesn't build gauge, so don't risk dodging it, if evasive actions puts you at risk of getting hit by a blinding laser, or mine. mine radius is larger than it appears, but radial laser is really forgiving. even blinding lasers have some let
The easiest way to botch Seren, is by panicking out of the way of something, and eating a ton of pointless hits that stun you, and allow her to finish you off

deer phase is gay, just run away, and don't get hit, because every hit builds shield, and when the phase ends, she turns that shield into hp. sometimes she just recovers shield just because??? I've had a lot of instances in seren where i'll just get a tick of gauge even when I'm not taking damage, or she'll give herself some shield because fuck me i guess.

I really hope you were using those vip buff selectors & x3 exp coupons from the Traces of Time shop over the course of the event for grinding. buff selector also has a good option for bossing, that isn't available in practice mode so you could have been using that for solo CW missions.

like kalos kinda where you just wait for burst, burst for 30 seconds and then spend the next 90 seconds dodging

I don't understand why on some days the map resets and disappears all the loot on the floor when i enter a twenteena portal and some days the loot remains
im on reg so it cant be instanced maps

weird, the twenteena portal is 10 but i tried in 19 and 18 and when leaving it moves me back properly, and i do remember entering and exiting without changing channels for a while so it'll be weird if it kept changing like that
