Fucking hell we better not end up with the coffin system IRL because the last thing anyone need is someone training their own killer AI

Uhh......a few years ago a Blackhawk was flown via AI control. While last year? year before? An F-16 was used for the same testing.
A buddy here fixed up the image of the AI blackhawk that was posted with the story to be more fitting for what it did.

Loitering munitions have been thrown around IRL since Nagorno-Karabakh, and the fields of Ukraine have seen swarms of them essentially since the start of the conflict. We already live in that timeline, and we didn't need COFFIN to create it (although we could argue that FPV drone operators get a version of it).

I'm still new to modding and could use some advice.
I've been using an infinite ammo mod from moddb com. But when I mod in new aircraft, it disappears and the aircraft takes priority. I've tried increase the ~ but it doesn't work. Any one around have experience with this mod? Is there a way to use them both?

I really hope this or a similar camo skin comes to 8 for its F-35, looks so much nicer in camo. Plus the blue stips on the vertical stabs is cool.

Also a mod for 7 I found with a similar camo scheme.

I'm S ranking all missions in 7 and just how the fuck do I get nearly 62k points in Anchorhead Raid (SP mission 2)?
I've been using the 12 missile SP weapon of the CFA-44 and I can barely scrape 60k, plus the plane is listed as a multirole fighter but handles like a high speed train so I'm also having a hard time taking down the bats within 4 minutes.
Some ace please help me out.

Take the Rafale or Su-35, then spam LACM/LASM for the ships and ground targets, and 6AAM/LAAM for the air targets. Try to get some of the Ospreys carrying the high-ranking Erusean officers, they're worth 1.5k points each IIRC.
If you're willing to carry less ammo, fly the Su-33. EML bypasses Mimic's bullshit lock-breaking jammers, and it still has LASM to deal with the ships. The X-02S can do the exact same with better maneuverability and more ammo, but I'm assuming you can't afford it yet.

Thanks for the input.
And yeah I've unlocked every plane and special weapon and S ranked all of the main campaign, but I'm a bit dejected that someone who's done that would be expected not to have my issues with this SP mission...

I would bring the F-15E with the SFFS to take care of all the clustered ground targets and ships, and then just switch to the 6AAM when it’s mostly just fighters hanging around. The Eagle gets pretty fast on its own so I’d just bring mobility and ammo upgrade parts. You’ve got this, buddy.
>>
>>
>>555456920
>multirole fighter but handles like a high speed train
She is a purebred Zoom n Boom girl trying to use her in any other way ends badly.
Part wise take stuff that increases blast area for bombs and better homing for missiles with faster reloads if you want it. With 3 returns lines you don't have to worry about ammo count. Go for ships and Ospreys over anything else they bring the most points. The targeting drones are worth hitting if you can
As far as planes go, what other anons said are good choices. Also F-15E SFFS to clear ground and ships, missiles for planes and TLS for the bats. Before you go WTF and I thinking use it as a support role they can't jam or block it letting you get constant hits on them while you riddle them with bullets and try and get missile locks. Its perfect to do chip damage on them till they die.
But if you really want to go ok time for you to die just take Darkstar 4 PLS make short work of everything on the map.

That’s the exact situation I’ve been in buddy. SP1 is easier but SP2 I’ve only s ranked on ace one time. Never doing that again.
Remember to checkpoint abuse once Incel and Butch spawn, that way you have full health and ammo. You should ideally only resupply once or twice during the first part. Another thing that helped was turning the music bgm off that way I could actually focus.

Here's an update on my efforts with SP mission 2:
I've tried the SFFS with the F/B-22 and the result was similar as the previous ones, I got maybe 59900 points and downed the bats in time, but I didn't enjoy the bombs very much, and I didn't have any good option to deal with the air targets.
I've tried the LASM and I barely got to the 40000 points needed to complete the mission, I might try the PLSL on the F-15C or the Su-57 but I'm not sure how much I trust my aiming abilities.
I've also tried the XFA-27 with MTST and I've gotten a good amount of points but I was always shot down before the end of the mission or I crashed while escaping the terminal guidance UAVs, having to get THAT up close and personal is difficult with the amount of artillery and planes.
The suggestions of using SP weapon upgrade parts were great.
So thanks everyone, I'll let you know how it goes.
>>
>>555503156
>PLSL on the F-15C or the Su-57
A lot of ships on that stage just soak up PLS fire if your not using Darkstar then PLS would be for air only as you will waste to much time killing the big point ships.

I have lot of hope because allies in 7 regularly hit shit, they just do practically no damage at all. Pretty much the only things I see go down are the first set of oil tanks in Pipeline Destruction (if I don't blow them up first) and the occasional helicopter.

Every once in a while they'll steal one of my kills on a weakened fighter. It seems like their AI in the DLC missions is also a lot stronger, when I played through it recently I remember them nabbing a few drones and Count was actually a lot of help in the Scream/Rage duel.

I mean it'd be fitting as a way to give some older planes new life as getting the AC3 super versions would work. And with how the entire Wings thing is if you've got planes with COFFIN installed you'll never actually have to see who's in there. No need to worry about photographs potentially blowing your cover.

That is a bit of a stretch, it wouldn't really explain why her only line in the trailer is Spanish. I feel like you'd have a better chance of Professor being Snow's kid or related to Keith somehow.
>>555606762
Probably not since PA doesn't really do that but it is a fun idea if a little dumb. But out of all the 'who is Noise really supposed to be' that one would probably be the most satisfying. He doesn't seem like Count and his attitude doesn't seem quite right for Dision. More than likely he's just another entirely new character with no connections.
Also do we ever get a time on when the boy from 04 wrote the letter to Mobius? He was already grown up at the time, it must've been sometime near the end of the 2010s.

Pacifists aren't know for being very bright. I think her logic was more that everything Osea was doing was to end the war faster, which was true to a point since Harling was on his way to North Point before he got yoinked by the Belkans, so while she was sad the Arkbird was militarized she was able to rationalize it. This all went out the window with Harling's disappearance but the plot mandated no one in Wardog picked up on that until it was too late. Really Nagase picked the wrong time to join the OADF is all, she probably figured she'd get her wings and do patrols for a few years before training to become an astronaut. No one ever expects peacetime to end when they join up during peacetime.

They already released 5 on PS4 running on emulation (had to be, since PS4 has no hardware compatibility with PS2 unlike PS3), I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all for them to do the same for ACZ as another preorder bonus.

If it has to be one, It should absolutely be the F-5. The F-5 was in service with 26 countries, had over 2000 units built, was the bad guy in Top Gun, and is still in service today. It's even seeing combat with Thailand's updated F-5TH.
Meanwhile the X-29 was a one-off X-Plane and the F-20 wasn't adopted. As much as I like them, they've had nowhere near the same real world impact.Side note: I'm still mad they didn't add a "MiG-28" with the Top Gun DLC

We got Ace Combat 5 as a pre-order bonus on PS4 (not PC) and Ace Combat 6 on Xbox. I assume this is something similar, in which case you better make sure to pre order cause there's no way to get the former now. The former was basically a PS2 Classics port running at a higher internal resolution and with higher resolution UI assets with trophy support. The Ace Combat Online part is most interesting, cause it could mean a separate mode (or even executable) entirely like Metal Gear Online, or just be a regular online mode partitioned into a separate app for a closed network test, either way we might get to try it out early!

5 was just using Sony inhouse emu like they use for their other PS2 games they sold on PS3/4
But with Zero I know its a long shot for sure but what if instead of just a simple do what we did with 5 they instead have redone it in 8's engine and we'll get the first in the remasters. I know its a long shot but still given 7's huge success they could have made the case for a sort of test run before they do the other 6, Yes I'm including X & PS1 trio

We'd be lucky if it was a source port, a full on remake is fantasy. It would most likely be a repackaged emulator.

Hell when the EASA wanted an improved X-02 Grunder had to pretty much rebuild the thing from the ground up to NOT be a death trap due to infamous wing failure issues because it turns out the switchblade wings make regular variable geometry wings look simple from a mechanical standpoint and those fold points are massive failure points when it comes to stresses from flight.
That and working to incorporate CFTs and more fuel load because the original X-02 had range as bad as the F-16 or original F-18
>>555858116
Hell he could have been switching from the high speed configuration to the low speed configuration and had one of the wings actually rip off at the point where the wing swept forwards.
Turns out the reasons why forward swept wings never really caught on is that the gains weren't worth the mechanical weaknesses at the point where the wing sweeps forwards (resulting cracking if not catastrophic failure)
Even Aces at War brought up just how the X-02's funky wing configuration really doomed it from even limited production beyond prototypes
Still trying to remember why Denuvo's the devil again?

Haven't kept up with it, but supposedly it keeps/kept writing shit on your drives over and over and over again, effectively reducing drive lifetime.
What IS well known is that at least the early versions killed performance for no reason whatsoever (presumably, the supposed constant writing to disk). When they finally managed to crack it, the cracked version ran better than the legit one.
>>
>>555908405
>Still trying to remember why Denuvo's the devil again?
denuvo basically forces a game to be recompiled on the fly, causing it to run 10-1000x worse, and it also fails a lot leading to crashes, and the worst thing of all, it forces a game to be online only and once the verification servers are turned off, the game is rendered permanently unplayable
>>
>>555908405
Everything that others said, but also a caveat that is probably not relevant to you is that Denuvo DRM-locked games will lock you out of the game for 24h if you hit its activation limit (run the game on multiple different machines in a short amount of time)
On Windows this is generally a nothingburger but if you're a Linuxfag or Deckfag then every time you change Proton versions that also counts as an "activation". This can be made even worse if you're on one of the Proton branches that updates regularly (thereby also counting as "activations")
>>
>>555909535
>>555910346
>>555911724
I mean I was waiting for it to hit the deep Steam sale cycles anyhow as I might not be able to run it effectively until I do my system rebuild which might be a 2030 thing with how stupid RAM prices are. Because even without anything else it'd be >UE5 and I question if even Belkan Black Magic for programing could make that remotely optimized.
Especially since this box is hitting 7+ years old at this point so my CPU is the utter bottleneck (also >slow RAM as ARMA painfully pointed out constantly)
>>
>>
>>
>>555908405
X-02 did see limited production you fight 8 of them in 5's arcade mode. Aurelian has some as you unlock her from normal gameplay. The FCU built a few for testing.
Just watch they'll use that as an excuse to send you one of the test models bring it to your carrier and get her airworthy once again for late game missions.
>>
>>555916447
AC severely lacks missions where we are tasked with test-flying super/project planes.
AC3 space mission and ACX2 air liner were the closest thing to a formula change.
Like, imagine being made to test flight a Delphinus I/II and see it just style on conventional top end planes, then have it pop up as an endgame boss.

The Denuvo anti-piracy isn't the part that worries me. It's whether they'll actually make it online only even if you just want to play singleplaer, and shove in kernal-level anti-cheat, which is far more invasive and resource intensive, because they want to whore lootboxes for online play.

You could look into getting a used AM4 board and 5000 series CPU, you can reuse your RAM and it should still be a great upgrade. Bonus points if you can get a 5(x)00X3D chip for cheap, they're still killing it in modern titles.
>>
>>
>>555937369
If we're talking AMD as I frankly am all thumbs trying to figure out the comps as my goal for an upgrade would have been using the PSU/GPU/HDDs for the base of another 10 year build. For plane comp think more like going from Phantom to Eagle (or Eagle to Raptor) instead of say Hornet to Super Hornet
I've not really fully thought about this kind of hitting a late DDR4 Motherboard upgrade.
But I'd consider it but really I'd be looking to get Ace Combat 8 probably in 2027/2028 considering I sat on getting 7 until around the time of the Advanced Fighters DLC dropped. As I've gotten old I've found buying games has really dropped in priority when I look at the seemingly infinite backlog and the fact that Steam sales are so damn common I can just always wait until the next one.

I am not worried about Denuvo because I'm always one step ahead, Denuvo's existence does not affect me in any way, because, you see, my PC is not powerful enough to be able to run the game in the first place, this renders me immune to Denuvo as I am not able to play any game that uses it in the first place, even if it was free.

Just wait for the slav pirates. It feels weird knowing that repacks and cracks are still relevant in the year of Electrosphere + 27, but I guess they'll have a place for so long as developers keep forcing their audience to download dozens of different audio languages, unnecessary textures, and terrible anticheat mechanisms.

I saw that and went back here to check, but now that I think about it why Zero specifically? I know 5 got bundled in the PS4 preorders for 7 since it Osea plays a big part in the story, so that makes me think a part of Zero would tie directly to 8god forbid it's Belka again
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>555951138
I really think the latter is why, when 7 came out to me it felt like the big game of the Trinity was 5. Zero was always loved but due to it being released at the tail end of the PS2's life a lot of people never actually got to play it. I myself only played it a few years ago because I could never find a copy, I also paid like 40 bucks for it. Ideally of course I'd like them to release all three PS2 games again but if I have to pick one I think Zero is the best choice overall.

They already re-released 5 so they have the emulation and widescreen support for the AC5 engine. Doesn't require them to make another emulator for the AC4 engine.
I don't think it has anything to do with the plot of AC8 (except for Belkans, its always Belkans), I think it's just about being the only way Project Aces could make a rerelease for modern hardware without dealing with the plane licensing issues.
>>

the only reason you rate AC4 above 5 and 0 is that it was one of babby's first PS2 games
5 and 0 do every single aspect of gameplay better than 4, only in narrative style could you say 4 is superior since that's purely a matter of taste
>>
>>
>>555954823
But when you look at the plane selection not much has changed Draken shouldn't be a problem seeing as Gripen is always in. I bet it has to do with some ass who's in charge of that single last remaining office cubicle that is the Panavia corporation.
>>
>>555960684
IIRC it's actually the American companies that are the worst about this with the most restrictive licensing terms aside from China/Korea who absolutely do not want anything that could imply their planes are flown by bad guys

>5 and 0 do every single aspect of gameplay better than 4
5's superior flight model is bogged down by worse gimmick missions, lack of supply lines, and plentiful respawning enemies. The latter two cause scenarios where the mission can't be completed because the player ran out of ammunition, and the wingmen aren't all that good at completing objectives.
>>
>>
>>555961213
The only US plane in Zero that didn't show up in 7 was the F-5, F-20 & EA-6. A-6 will be in 8.
The F-5 has been flown by villain factions as a stand in Mig in movies since the 80's. While in every game US planes are always on both sides of the war.
It can't be any of the US companies it has to be Panavia its the only thing that makes sense.

It was strategic because Belka was getting rolled and wasn't going to last another month. It's a batshit insane strategy and it caused an internal civil war (Pops/Huckebein defected over it and you see Belkans shooting other Belkans in the mission where it happens in ACZ) but the point is that the people who gave the order cared more about ensuring that Nord Belka at least remained independent than preserving the lives of their citizens.

To play devil's advocste, it could be a low-balled immediate death count. If we're being REALLY generous and assume the nukers were aiming to create a nuclear border and not just blowing up cities on chokepoiints, it's possible that the death toll (minus the "surviving" dead-when-found and others who will die after the blast) from blasts near smaller population cities could be low if they only try to count "confirmed" deaths and leave "missing" out of the estimate. Regardless the Belkans are insane and it's a wonder how the decadent Osean capitalist pigs could put up living next to them for so long.

Allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morels are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a six cents when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go. Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the fax. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it’s a peach of cake.

Even the lowball estimates for Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined are over 100k and that's with bombs that have a comparitively small blast radius compared to what late Cold War era nukes could do. Assuming the nukes in Strangereal followed a similar technilogical progression as they did IRL. I took a look at my copy of Aces at War and while it doesn't mention the casualty number, it specifically says seven towns. I know town and city can be pretty interchangable, but at least by Japanese definition a town has at least 10k people and at most 50k people, but it's an informal distinction. So to be as charitable as possible, if all seven towns that were destroyed were very small, with maybe one town of 10k people, it could work. It also says 'over 12000' in the news broadcast, which implies that is the minimum casualty count. I think it'd be reasonable to say the actual figure is closer to 20-30k.
Now to be an asshole, this is why when writing fiction you should be very careful about giving hard numbers, because autistic nerds WILL overthink every minute detail you give them. I imagine they just picked a number that sounded horrible enough, or maybe they were just ignorant of exactly how much damage even one nuke can do. I kinda doubt that though given that Japan is the only country that's ever been nuked.
>>
>>555995157
Most of the civilians probably saw the writing on the wall and were fleeing the cities by frankly any means possible. Half emptied cities which probably had a prewar population probably 50k at most drove down casualties from those directly killed in the nukings. Remember most cities aren't having six digit populations.
We don't even know if they were ground bursts aiming for irradiating the terrain down wind as well or air bursts for the most destruction of the cities. There's the possibility of also chunks of the populous having gotten air raid warnings (for the incoming fighters going after the bombers) and gotten to hardened shelters and surviving the nukings there.
Also the Kill Count may be low because that's the estimates of those directly killed and not those who would succumb in a few years to cancer or other !FUN! things tied to exposure to fallout
>>
>>
>>556008382
I mean the population between between City and Town is pretty much numberwang when it comes down to it. And I wouldn't put it past it that Osean JSTARs if they could get enough radar distance probably saw every road out of those cities full of vehicles going AWAY from the front while the amount of vehicles coming towards it (likely military) suddenly drop off in the days before the bombing.
People ain't dumb. Propaganda may be saying Oseans are being beaten but when you're seeing soldiers going the other way and starting to dig in ahead of your city/town you know shit's going bad and it's time to bail.
>>556008459
Morgan comprised everything for the damn TLS mount. Like it's DO NOT EVER EXCEED G limit was 7Gs because of the damn Laser mount. And the amount of drag that damn thing had along. Pixie would have been better off dumping the thing if possible so he could actually get more mobility out of the plane.

And considering AWWNB had soldiers and mercs from all over the place, it comes to reason shit was stolen from whereever. Hell, given how Belka operates, Morgan could have been a secret design that was being worked on in the Avalon damn itself and simply came as a nice extra when they took it over.

Zero starts by hammering into your head how there's a lot of unanswered questions and ambiguities around the Belkan War. The way people talk about it in 5 and 7, it isn't hard to feel a bit of mythologizing. Not every line of dialogue should be treated as face value canon
>>
>>
>>556072037
>How's Ace Combat 6?
Pretty much introduces the modern Ace Combat vibe that 7 continues, for better or worse. The gameplay is great with added mechanics like high-G turns, as well as massive scale battles that 7 wasn't able to replicate. The biggest criticism gameplay-wise is the low roster size, because it tried to make up for it with multiple variants of the same planes. It also has a pretty generic main story with hilariously bad cutscenes centered around characters you will never give a fuck about, which 7 did replicate.
>why is not that talked about compared to zero or 5?
The sole reason why the Holy Trinity is the Holy Trinity is because they're all on PS2, which is widely available second-hand and easily emulated.
>>
>>
>>556072037
People didn't wanna buy an Xbox just to play it. The main games were all on Playstation systems up to that point. It's fine, I guess, but good god having to scream across a crowded battlefield to do literally everything for everyone played hell on my nerves.

>why is not that talked about compared to zero or 5?
It sold abysmally, afaik it's the only mainline AC title to not break 500k sales. Even AssWhore sold more copies.

In those days we had giant TVs, called CRTs, and you'd play your PS2 by connecting it to the TV. Gimme an audio cable and a visual cable you'd say, as was the style at the time. Now in those days, you'd have AV cables and component cables, but no one could afford a component CRT and component cables, so we all just played using AV. Then we'd load up our games and enjoy them, as was the style at the time

Kino as always. Also surprised to see Falcon in the credits at the end, and while looking up the Slo_Mobius_Studios guy to see if his AWWNB patch design was for sale I found this DCS animation he did of Hoffnung https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwR6znAFk4g

Yeah I watched that Hoffnung animation recently, pretty well done. The shots of the Belkan troops abandoning the city were really good. Btw did you find if that patch is for sale?

Potentially. I could see them doing the first mission as an intercept, making the FCU feel like it has a chance before the next few missions culminate with you get shotting down and winding up on the Endurance. Or alternatively the first mission could be the invasion of Theve like 6 opens with Gracemaria falling.

No, it's not. Looks like Slo has been mostly quiet on social media for a while on top of that, his last youtube video was in March '22, and last reddit (and I think instagram as well) posts were also from then as well. He did retweet one of Nasault's progress updates on the Zero animation back in August last year, and the AC8 trailer as well, so I'm guessing he just lurks these days. Maybe one of the patch sellers like Razgriz or the guy who ripped off Razgriz might be able to get in touch for permission to do a custom run of it, but it'd be pretty niche.

That requires some work to make the compatible. For 5 all they had to do was add and HD HUD and text put in an emu and done. For 6 all they had to do was use MS 360 emu and done. If this Zero really is the game itself then it requires actual work to port it to PC. If its the game and not a preorder bonus then think of it as test run to see if its worth it to bring the others to PC.
>>
>>556185930
I don't know if they should really be speculating on these things after 7 became the best selling game in the franchise by a wide margin and 8's reveal had near universal praise.
Legacy ace combat games will sell if you put them in new systems, maybe do it after 8 comes out so you don't clog your marketing.

AWWNB seemingly didn't have an actual emblem given all the other non-Belkan members didn't strike their national colors either. Although that's also probably because it was easier to texture it that way too. That said if someone made waterslide decals of it, you could put it on the Morgan model kit.
>>
>>
>>556190191
Oh I agree about it when it comes to the mook fighters and stuff but more special stuff like XB-0 and Morgan should have had it since those are both single use models and could have been done when you made the skins for those two units. You could have even included the emblem on the briefing screen so the player could see it nice and clear. PA usually goes the extra mile in details you never notice like tail codes on enemy mooks in AC4 or all the stuff they packed into 7. Feels like a big missed opportunity.
>>
>>
>>
>>556193690
It's probably just something they didn't think of at the time, after all they were developing Zero concurrently with 6. Zero's a really funny game like that where it's near perfect but has these little tiny if only things here and there.

I've always just assumed that they retained the markings they had before AWWNB went above board, since both the XB-0 and Morgan were being cooked up before that.

My honest opinion on the whole Cascadia-Federation conflict is that, at the start of it I think Cascadia had every reason to rebel against the Federation, and it was completely justified, but, at the end of the conflict, I think the situation in Cascadia could end up in something even worse than the Federation emerging from it. Cascadia becoming a mercenary haven, and the whole thing with the deal, it could lead to the appearance of a mercenary state of unimaginable power led by a bunch of bloodthirsty mercs. At that point, for me it turns into a "better the devil you know" thing, yeah, the Federation is bad, but I do not like the way things seem to be going in Cascadia, so if I absolutely have to pick a side post PW's campaign, I'll choose the Federation.
I think the most ironic thing that could happen is that Cascadia, after freeing itself from the Federation, and perhaps even defeating the Federation is the next war against it, it then gets its government overthrown by a new Mercenary Cabal, and finds itself once more under the yoke of a new tyrant. It used mercs to earns its freedom only to lose it again at the hands of those same mercs.

Not him, but it’s also because of the way the ejection seats function. Those 4 planes mentioned have different variations of ejection seat with their own thrust coefficient that’s has to fit within the space available. Some are single stage or multi stage. But weight of glass and it’s cost is the main factor.

We know it isn't "exactly" the same as 7's but between the F/A-18C in the trailer and mentions of the A-6 there's a high likelihood that new planes are more oriented towards the past than anything new.
I quite like my early-to-mid Cold War-era planes so I don't mind, but I can see how people might end up miffed by the fact that high-end options are probably gonna stay stuck at the Raptor, Felon and YF-23.

I expect everything we had in 7 including DLC planes + some returning planes from older games
A-6 is in so I expect the EA-6 to show up. Since we're on an old carrier might be nice to have some older carrier jets A-4, A-7 F-8 maybe even the S-3

Other than the current version of Tempest the game already has all the high end planes that exist IRL. Doesn't mean we won't have high end Strangreal planes. I still say this is the perfect game to add in all of the real world planes form 3 as highend. While the X originals are as they were before all across the board.
Lets be honest here we all want to engage Shadow squad with a full team of Fenrir's Or style on them with a full team of Nav Hawks.

since the theme for 8 is going to be naval aviation they should finally get off their asses and put the harrier, yak-141, yak-38 in the game.
modern additions are extremely limited outside of the su-75, especially after getting no from korea and china and 6th gens being vaporware.
so the only choices are older aircraft and stuff that was featured in previous games but not in 7tfw the hal tejas is in

Personally speaking I don't care much for superplanes, but I can definitely see a lot of original planes coming back to fill some holes.I think PA should bring back the ATD-0 from Infinity as a neat 'light stealth fighter' between the mid-tier planes and higher-tier stealth fighters. Plus while all the lasers and magic missiles are cool, I'm fiending for some more conventional OG designs.
I've always loved throwing eclectic sets of low-to-mid tier planes at bosses. Tackling the Shadows in a Legacy Hornet is gonna be fun.

Yak's were in 1 & 2 as NPC enemies while Harrier has been in every single game except for 3.

Harrier was playable......in AH & Infinity

And while we're on the topic of planes we wish to see in AC8, I will continue to lobby for the huezillian turboprop.

thats my issue, some of them are regulars but only as enemies
harrier is one of the most well known fighter jets in the world and it's only playable in the black sheep of the franchise and the one that you can't play anymore

>we'll base jumpjets out of vertical shafts dug into the mountain! they'll be hidden and protected by simple geometry!
the humble dumb bomb:

The idea isn't bad the hangers are inside the mountain making them safe from strikes. But it has a big downside if a bomb or cruise missile does make it in the enclosed area then the blast has no where to go and everything dies in a flash.
The biggest problem about that entire base is much simpler. No natural fortification will save you from Mobius 1.

Personally I'd like to see us get a few more early Cold War jets like the F-9 Cougar or the Javelin.
>>556316834
If Worst Korea and China both really said no on having their planes in Ace Combat they can get bent then.
>>556317347
I'd love to have the Fencer back, it was such a fun plane in Infinity.

Oh hey I remember seeing these guys flying around in formation with an A-37, sadly the A-37 got retired a while ago and you can't only see them on a museum (they were still around until 2023).what the fuck is going on with the captcha

Buddys.. the 8 roster will have 2 or 3 additional early aircraft, and 1 or 2 additional mid tier aircraft. But the high end stuff? That will be the same. Maybe SU-75 just maybe. I don’t even think the X craft or Fenrir will be in it.
There is too much normie attention on this franchise now, since it has become relatively popular. It’s going to be conservative, and will ride on the coattails of Top Kek Maverick and recent international media.

Sorry buddy. That’s if they know what’s good for /aceg/. We aren’t the popular vote. The stuff we want will be dlc. Which some of us will eventually pay for. Just like we did with 7.
