been playing AC evo 0.4
Physics update actually not bad at all so far.
Will post webm when back at home but clutch behavior and downshifting was weird for me before and now cars correctly respond without auto beyblading (dunno if that was a me issue)
Dunno if worth 50 bucks but I say it's worth on sale
Also AC Rally 0.2 is amazing but been learning so no point posting anything because I drive like a spastic
Dunno if there are any drivefags in this thread regularly so sorry if I'm interrupting the scheduled dcs murderegg discussion

Yes, but the requirements are high to get a good framerate, you're going to have to fight like your life depended on it for 45 FPS, probably just going to have to settle for 30 FPS.
>I saw there was a walk-around mode, does that work in VR?
It should, but I just fly.

Mitch has said both sides will eventually have unique plane sets. At some point PALA and the BDF will each have their own COIN aircraft.
Personally think the Cricket is closer to a Skymaster than anything, maybe with some Bronco DNA mixed in.
It's not unreasonable to guess that the Cricket's counterpart will have a low wing like the Tucano or Pucara to make it visually distinct.

MSFS 2024 is the buggiest piece of shit flight sim ever made. Even more than a year after its release everything is still broken and it still runs like absolute dogshit. Once X-Plane fixes their ugly anti-aliasing it's going to be game over for MSFS.
>>
>>
>>555699069
No I don't care about that shit at all. The thing MSFS is worst at is flying airliners. The ATC and AI traffic system is so unimaginably broken that it shouldn't even be in the sim. And even something as simple as weather radar data still isn't implemented 6 years after the release of MSFS. The entire sim is made by incompetent lazy frenchmen who work 5 hours a week max and published by a jeet-run company that only exists today to grift money from the AI bubble. Once the bubble bursts I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft entirely ceased to exist. X-plane on the other hand is made by actual passionate pilots who want realism and accuracy in a sim.
>>
>>
>>555700819
The ATC and AI traffic aren't great I'll give you that, but X Plane doesn't stand a chance against MSFS. Even if you install autoortho and the rest it still looks shit near the ground. Not sure why you have performance issues those, it runs really well for me, much better than 2020, especially since SU4.

>The ATC and AI traffic aren't great
They're literally non functional. In X-Plane I can file a flight plan and the ATC will route me through the proper SIDs and STARs and even vector me to the final approach every time. If you try to follow ATC directions in MSFS, you're guaranteed to never make it to the airport. It really is broken 100% of the time.
>it still looks shit near the ground
Have you seen what MSFS looks like near the ground? I'll take basic orthophotography with modeled buildings over this shit any day.

That isn't true, it can work fine in IFR, I've realised it's all about the flight plan. If your plan isn't perfect with the altitudes then the game will be an idiot and won't tell you to descend until you're on top of the airport. I found importing plans straight from simbrief results in issues for this reason, if I plan using the EFB in the game I don't have any problems. VFR is fine, it's just IFR that needs improvement.
>Have you seen what MSFS looks like near the ground
Yes of course, I play the game mate. Photogrammetry has its pros and cons, I don't think I've had issues like that your pic though.
>>555702637
2024 runs really fucking well now, I get over 100fps on ultra settings most of the time.
>>
>>555702727
I'm playing MSFS 2024 daily and it runs OK. Getting 60-70 fps on 3440x1440 resolution with ocasional stutters (RTX 4070, textures medium due to the vram usage). If I dial the resolution down to 1080p ultrawide it jumps up to 90.
>>
>>555703038
The game needs a beefy CPU, I'm on a 4070ti super but with a 14700k. I'm not sure I've seen it use over 12gb of VRAM, but it does often get to 11gb, that's why I went with the ti super of the normal one, for the extra ram.
>>
>>

>>555703447
I have done, as I mentioned, importing directly from simbrief with no tweaking results in the ATC only telling you to descend basically after the penultimate waypoint so you'll be too high. Using purely the in-game EFB to plan was absolutely fine, so I think it might just be that the ATC isn't very smart when it comes to checking your route and just goes straight off the plan. Check your altitudes at each waypoint in the plan so it doesn't end in tears. It also copes with SIDs and STARs fine.
>>
>>
>>
>>555703935
Just double check the altitudes per waypoint in the EFB when you import it into the game before setting off, that's where the issue is. Even setting them up properly in littlenavmap can result in them getting fucked up in the game, I have no idea why.

I get 30-40 fps on large detailed airports running at 1440p max settings on my Mac with an M4 Max, but it's at least solid with no stuttering. On my PC with a Ryzen 5800X3D and Radeon 6800XT I was getting something like 20fps at the same airports in MSFS 2020, with massive amounts of stuttering every time you changed the view or looked in a different direction. I never even bothered trying 2024 because of how buggy it was on release and still continues to be. I avoid all Microjeet products as a rule these days.
>>
>>
>>
>>555704971
I could try running the Linux version on my gaming PC, but it will probably run worse because the specs in this Mac are better. Even the GPU is faster than my 6800XT. Windows is no longer a functional operating system and I refuse to ever use it again.
>>
>>555700819
>The entire sim is made by incompetent lazy frenchmen who work 5 hours a week max and published by a jeet-run company that only exists today to grift money from the AI bubble.
Reposting so everyone can read it again. FS24 is quite a bit better than it was at launch, but it still runs like hot garbage compared to DCS while only looking a little better. I get a very solid and fluid looking 90 fps in DCS with my Crystal Super and a 5090, but in FS24 it's usually 35-40 fps near the ground, and only able to hold an acceptable 45 fps if I'm at high altitude or out in the boonies where there are few trees and buildings.
The problem is that the only reason I fly MSFS is for the sightseeing, so if that's the part that bogs it down then I might as well just keep flying bombing missions into tel aviv in DCS.

In a year and a half of using a Mac at that job I had more freezes, crashes, forced updates, lag, and fuck knows what than decades of using Windows. Linux is good but I got tired of the performance loss in games, even if Linux gaming is a lot better now than it used to be.

That's not the plan I heard. Or the plan changed.
The problem is that it make balance difficult while excluding planes you want to play because of their peculiar mechanic.
Plus it would mean having equivalent for every edge the other side has.
Fast Combat/Transport helicopter? Now you need two more.
VTOL Tarantulas/C130? Now you need another.
Supersonic bomber? Now you need another.
Heavy bomber? Now you need another.
Jump-jet laser AWACS? Now you need another.
So long as you can handwave it mission by mission in the name of fun, that's ok.
But I hope they don't do that before running out of airplane with unique dynamic/features.I still want my 2070 Rafale air-fighter or it will go nuclear, this is NOT an option.

Worst name and worst modules of all time has to be MSCENERY. Every single one is low effort dogshit, and they chuck a new abortion of a plane out on an almost daily basis for a ridiculous ask of $12-$20.
THEN, to top it all off, they perpetually leave their modules on "sale" for $1 off so that you have to wade through their sludge when you are trying to see what's on sale in the MSFS store.
I am 100% sure that this alleged developer is based somewhere out of somewhere in the third world, most likely where elephant, tiger, and train attacks are a daily part of life.

I assume so, and Canada too. The pattern for states is a bit wonky in places, it's very roughly move right then work from the bottom to the top but not quite. I believe Illinois is next, even though they haven't done the Montanas and the state that's next to Illinois, Minnesota? Honestly I'm learning about the geography of the USA through the game kek. I feel like there might be a rush to Florida at some point so it wouldn't surprise me if they prioritised that.

>there was a cock shot of the Tornado.
timestamp? I watched it 2 times and didn't see.
I don't get why they showed the mirage F1 at all since the only difference there is the new set of systems (that clearly aren't implemented). the starfighter or f100 may have had a cockpit shot, not sure which, but I didn't see the tornado even once. just the new tomcat and eurofighter for the most part.

New gacha game came out and is really popular so you have a lot of people playing it and a lot of people flaming it. Makes the threads move fast.
Also, NO is a lot of fun. I picked it up and rolling through the single player missions to get a better idea of what is going on. Has a lot more depth than I was expecting.

mostly the bugs/behaviour at high speed paired with that weird hard coded ceiling of 60k feet that magically stops you. Since it's MSFS and not DCS I'm more interested in a realistic flight model compared to the various subsystems.
The stuff they have simulated in terms of SMS pages etc seems solid, but I also know almost nothing about the EF.

What kind of success are you talking about? If you're talking about a basic mode of transportation then a car is objectively better, safer and more comfortable. Meanwhile motorcycles are a niche and people get them various reasons. Either it's some boomer who wants to relive his youth, a student who can't afford a car, some adrenaline junkie, or just some guy who likes motorcycles and the freedom they give.
There are multiple big companies making motorbikes, like Yamaha, Honda, BMW or some chink brands that I don't even know. It rather counts as a success.

4070ti super, I run on max settings now, previously on my 980ti they were high but then would go to shit at certain junctions as mentioned. Louisiana doesn't run as well as other states, I think SCS need to work on their optimisation as the game no longer runs as well as it did.

JSOW lolcow. That weapon single-handedly won the war when China invaded Russia in 2002 and the US rushed NATO membership for Russia allowing NATO to provide support to Russian forces. JSOWs released by stealthy fighters effectively wiped out two army corps while Team RAINBOW forces destroyed Chinese ICBMs in a mostly successful attempt to prevent nuclear retaliation in the event of a Chinese loss.

kek, modern ultralights are sketchy enough but if you are rigorous with the safety process you are fine. But those? I've seen dead people news about them all the time. Bu honestly i think mostly its because pilot error instead of manufacturing ones. Those are really hard to fly fromm the ground up imo, at least in Xplane

Likely tailored that way due to U.S. ultralight restrictions. Most of the planes on that site aren't actually ultralights.

It's good, but is starting to feel dated. I'd recommend Blade & Sorcery or Arken Age over it for just better movement systems in general.
