And to be clear, it's still win-rate on summon; not overall winrate. You'd have to open the game to find their deck's actual win-rate.

Feral Imps though is never summoned in say the same situation Moon often is where it's often a plan B, or like Hornet Drones into Snatchy is where it's a basic starter you go into early. It's only ever used when your huge combo deck goes full combo without being interrupted in the same way that Diabell is. So it is actually in the same category as Magnus/Liger even though it's not a direct payoff.
So it has a higher winrate than the payoffs because the payoffs do sometimes get played in builds with lower powered endboards where reaching the payoff doesn't necessarily guarantee a win. And also people are more likely to surrender before you finish the combo once you summon Feral Imps and they realize what sort of deck you're really playing.

I don't know enough about how people are playing Orcust right now to comment on Mermaid's winrate.

If you count everything, it's still less disruptions than Dracotail.
So let's talk about going second. K9VS is good because it can play going second.
But the requeriment is that you open either Hollie Sue or Izuna. Opening both of them is the best but that's about 10%.
This is a pre-requisite. Also, if you open Hollie Sue going second, YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR ASH.
Having the correct attributes in hand is extremely important if you want to use her as a starter.
Getting EARTH & DARK is high probability, but FIRE & DARK isn't that high because you have what? x3 Ash, x1 Razen, x3 Jiaolong. Assuming you always open a DARK that's 21.52% of opening Hollie Sue, FIRE and DARK.
It's one of the reasons why OCG builds started running Rescue-ACE after Razen got limited, to have more FIRE types.
K9VS is only exceptionally good when it's unhit. Look at TCG/OCG tops. Dracotail > K9VS in both.
They at least had their time to shine in paper because they were introduced without hits, but as soon as shit got hit Dracotail started getting better.
If they hit K9VS, they need to hit Dracotail too. And if they do that they also need to deal with Mitsurugi etc. because we are in a year of shit decks unless they speedrun multiple sets.
