Indifferent to be fully honest. I think this franchise is past its time, it's what zoomers would call "unc slop". I enjoyed the franchise and the characters and the fandom, but maybe it's time to accept the fun times are over.
About the gacha part... I've already given up with videogames. I mostly play retro or very obscure stuff these days. Console games are on their deathbed(no, GTA 6 won't be as successful as everyone thinks), and when they die the entirety of the industry will fully move to mobile and not PC, like many people think. Personally I don't like gachas, but zoomers love it so that makes me realize gachas are not the problem, the problem is me, I don't belong to this generation and therefore I'm not their core audience, so maybe it's time I forget about videogames and find new hobbies. I've been thinking about composing music, or drawing art, or writing stories, it sounds gay, I know it.
So, yeah, I don't really care if Compa wants to make a new gacha at this point.

Honestly, scratch that. If it ends up being actually good while also enabling them to pump the game full of their signature otaku fanserivce thanks to the live service/rolling update model, I'd swallow it, even if it's self-contradictory. Just as long as it's full of humor, soulful writing and nicely designed characters.
On the other hand, the preservation aspect of such a game would suck. Not having the complete playable plot you can experience offline is a crippling the downsides of a live service game. Newfags being able to experience Neptunia in its original form is the sole reason why this board and /nep/ is not completely dead yet.

I'm of the opinion the whole reason they're finally fast-tracking (by Compa standards) a new Neptunia mainline is because they're out of cards to play with all their new IPs flopping badly to the point they don't even chart in Famitsu. I was starting to get concerned when I saw one or two people on Twitter posted photos showing they already have it, then I checked my order and it said it wouldn't ship until May. But then it just showed up out of the blue. It came in a special Makeship-branded tie bag that's a nice little touch. The tag says only 1734 were made. That number better be bigger than the Big Nep plush. So sick of the R*ddit Nep shilling, it's awfully suspicious and I don't like it one bit. The old Blancbro who's no longer around, who I must begrudgingly admit is far more knowledgeable on Blanc-related matters than I am, made a pretty convincing argument based on various aspects of her and canon material that Blanc would lean sub and prefer her partner to make the first move. Which sucks for me because I lean sub myself and do not have a good history of being confident with girls. But I will do what I must for Blanc.

Uni used to be a home for so many niche games that nu-Noire would not even consider selling... She has less screen time than the main four, so I have to admit, I'm not as well-versed about her character and preferences. I don't think you can, or should consider me a proper waifufag because, for the most part, I'm attached to her not because of her character because of how strong I am attached to the console she represents.
