The "art" world is pretty crazy these days, with AI flooding marketplaces with stuff, DEI slop, industries crashing etc
Basically I'm thinking of making my next game, and just giving up on the industry all together. Just make whatever I want without regards to industry standards, without doing the same gay social media hustle culture promoting everybody else does. But this means promotion and getting it out there will be pretty difficult. The only thing I can think is that by making something primarily for myself and without care about the broader ecosystem of gaming, it will stand out as original and unique, and if word of mouth happened because it's good, I win.

Changed the swing-bar's visibility. Started work on the animations and the gimmick of timing the jump with the animation. It's gonna be a pain to draw all frames and for future costumes. Thought of just having the player just hang and remove the swinging so that it's less work.

I ran into an editor cache bug in Godot earlier today where I guess the editor's memory desyncs from the GUI and makes it so that the scene you run when you hit F6 is not actually your current scene, and I swear to god I almost lost my mind trying to debug why every script lost the ability to find exported nodepaths and had to have them replaced with getnode functions.
