Combat is fine once you learn some animation cancels and try to optimize your rotations. There's actually a decent amount of shit to keep track of to get max value out of your SP. Like timing a skill with a delayed activation to line up with the combo skill it triggers coming off cooldown.

The difficulty scaling feels like it could use a little work as well. Most of the combat encounters (boss fights included) feel too forgiving/easy when tackled at the recommended levels/gear. AK got roughly 12 banner releases (events/main story chapter) a year, once a month.
4 of those were limited events. The other 8 would be standard events.
Limited events would have 4 new operators, two 6*, a 5*, and a welfare (could be 6* or 5*). Standard events would have 3 new operators, one 6*, a 5*, and a welfare 5*.

So roughly 40 new character a year, so an average of 3.3 characters a month, all requiring voicework and all the other shit that goes into creating a character.
You also have to remember that Endfield won't have skins for the time being so that's one less workload to worry about.

I think making a dedicated operator-class based on SP generation (vanguard) was a good idea to alleviate low SP regen. The main thing holding it back is the fact that teams are limited to a mere four slots, so you can't *always* fit them in. It would be a huge undertaking, but it would be cool if teams had reserves/support slots where they're not actively on the field, but you are allowed to still trigger support skills or maybe even their combo skills (but not have access to their full kit). The boss is under cryo susceptibility from 4 consumed stacks and Perlica's electrification. I missed Ardelia's debuff.
Last Rite is under Xaihi's burst, arts amp, Sundered Prince weapon buff (+20% ATK), and some other buff I don't recognize.

gear gives a LOT of stats and a big chunk of your DPS
also those pills don't heal at all at your lvl, you're rolling around with lvl 40 meds when there are items that give you ult regen, +25% DMG increase and much more if you get into cooking.
