Once free of her high-stress job at the corp, V joined Jackie as a partner working their way up the merc ranks of Night City. The rest is history.

All of my Vs are former NUSA special forces soldiers.

The first goes by V for 'Victor'. She's the sole survior of the NUSA Army 7th Special Forces Group, 2nd Batllion, Victor Company. She fled the battlefield after her company suffered major losses and was dismissed since this was seen as an act of treason. Then, feeling marked for death, she snuck her way into NC where her skillset would be more appreciated. She's borged out as fuck and believes in three things; the big gun strapped to her body, the little gun strapped to her thigh and the combat knife strapped to her other thigh. Drives her trust CST40 everywhere.

The second V is for the roman numeral for 5. She does everything in 5s for some reason. 5th percentile score on the ASVAB (waived because she was too talented to not be special forces), 5 DUIs, 5 grenade kills at once, 5 court martials, 5 fingers in each fist, so on and so forth. Spealomg of fists, she also likes to use her fists. Fled to NC after being dishonorably discharged and severely wounding a number of soldiers in the aftermath. Drivers the Avenger because she likes the supercharger sound.

The third V is for 'Velvet' because he wants to be a rich and fancy motherfucker. He sought a corpo-political career post-service but stepped on the wrong toes and fled to NC. Doesn't like to get his hands dirty and prefers to leave no trace whatsoever. Unfortunately, no matter how much money he earns he never seens to fit in with the cream of the crop. Is obsessed with Lizzy Wizzy. A bit of a kiss ass. Drives a Targa because he wants people to see him in his fancy convertible, not realizing it's still a poorfag car.

Simple, because you are assuming everyone is borged out to the point they could do that. Even if there -were- implants that allow you to trip balls or experience euphoria (to my knowledge there aren't) someone retarded enough to be a drug addict isn't going to have the funds for that sort of thing. Plus, major cyberware companies like Arasaka have no motivation to produce such a dumb ass implant anyway since it would hurt the drug market they rake in on via their Tyger Claws affiliation.

I understand using it for melee builds where time spent travelling to enemies is time spent getting shot instead of dealing damage, but personally, I find it changes the feel of the game too much. I've started using Reflexes as my dump stat unless I'm specifically playing an AR/SMG or melee build.

Dark future handles drugs and addiction extremely well. I've reached maximum tiers of addiction (narcotics, smokes, alcohol) and the debuffs can be pretty brutal. I RP my V as a functional addict. It's a constant battle against higher tiers of addiction and scrounging for your needs around town in between gigs. It has resulted in pretty intense moments, and the debuffs can be so debilitating they force you to handle gigs/encounters with more creativity. It leads to situations I otherwise would have never found or experienced in Cyberpunk.

I only played through the campaign of gta5 but all my sandbox hours are in gta4. Cyberpunk saving a car I used 3 cars ago in the location I parked it at is so impressive to me coming from the "if you even turn around, cars will disappear" era. GTA4 on PS3 had an achievement that was something like "blow up 7 cars in 5 seconds" and it was literally impossible because you couldnt even pile up 7 cars together.

I cleared that out last night. Cyberpsychosis stalled on me because I moved too far away. It's like the scripting broke while I was out in front of the building. The duration seemed to pause too, reigniting when I came back. Also no drone spawn. A bunch of bodies to loot when all was said and done nonetheless.
