The KV-2 is so good. The premium version with the coaxial mg is worth it over the tech tree version without it because it lets you do something on the long reload downtime, even with the slow turret traverse that makes it sluggish to track enemies. If the hull mg becomes functional in commander/gunner view it'll be even better.

German BR III is actually unplayable, this is awful. If you get put against the Soviets you just lose instantly, and against the US you lose slowly. It feels like how the Soviets used to be where they just sort of wander around the map not doing anything. I had a guy on my team who went, like, 3 kills 11 deaths. What's more, your teammates will complain about Russian Bias as they get bulldozed, as if they don't have their own selection of OP as fuck gear to deploy.

It's really just taken as a given among Axis mains that the Soviets are OP and you will lose against them and you have no way of fighting back, so just ignore all your advantages like the ZK, MG 34, VG 1-5, et cetera. The post-buff VG 1-5 really is extremely strong, too. It's basically an assault rifle you can put on every troop.

D-Day really fucking sucks. It was barely tolerable when the Americans could capture points nearly instantly with 1-4 guys on them. Now it's just horrible. The Germans never even get on the cap, they just deathbox it and it's more or less impossible to get into position. Even if you do get on the cap, both of their tanks will just shit HE into it from a safe position. The easiest way to balance it would be to make it so the defending greyzone isn't so fucking close to the fucking cap, so you can actually push in and destroy rallies and tanks and such. This is also a problem on Munda Point and a few other maps.

As I said, the exact same thing is true for them. If you get in the cap they're just as exposed trying to run back in.

Most of the caps are very well covered from the back with very few openings to do so. It's very easy to lob shells in the bunkers from the beach cause all the mg nests are looking towards you but there's no such gaps to shoot in from the hills

D-Day has the least amount of air cover for tanks out of any map and the airspawn is a straight line towards them with basically no room for them to evade. It's literally just spawn a plane - point and click. A couple of kills also pretty much completely block the road down from the cliff and make the next tank's life even more miserable.
I'm not saying the map's great or that it's fun to play but it's nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
