I was mistaken, they actually used the FN browning which was a Belgian derivative in an even bigger 13.2mm caliber. But that also could be set to fire at potentially 1500 RPM. They used it on many of their domestic WWII planes and some early post-war planes. Like on their mainstay fighter the J21.

What we know about this so far:
The hammer itself does 300 damage per swing, 450 with Reinforced Epaulettes, 600 with Peak Physique or Rock Solid.
The explosive tip has to be attached, and the player carries 7 charges. The explosion deals 2100 anti-tank damage, and transmits a bit of that back to the player's right arm, potentially breaking it.
The explosion is 30 demo force, enough to destroy spawners but not enough to break down colony walls.
I can imagine this being used with an Integrated Explosives loadout, just charge into enemies with this thing out and murder as many as possible before going down, and take out even more with the explosion. Your team's probably going to hate you for it, but it could be effective if done right. The only real problem is that after a suicide run you would have to go and retrieve the hammer and any applicable backpack, which can be a challenge depending on how deep you went.

B1s though would be just easier all round in comparison to the troopers. the droids are somehow even stupider then Bot troopers and they act stupid in both the 'haha dumb robot sense of being dumb but also being dumb in the way that a pre-teen child might be dumb/vulnerable like bickering and making slapstick antics or getting board, loafing off and suffering from pain/debilitations which is all stuff that automatons just do not have afawk. Plus the bots have a characteristic of being aggressive and fast when they want to be which B1s just don't do. Also while this isn't backed by anything but gameplay it does seem that bot troopers can operate in rougher environments longer then b1s since they complain about needing maintainance and stuff amongst themselves.

I mean, 850 HP is almost 7 times the health pool of the player. But yeah, exosuits aren't so much bulwarks that can soak up loads of damage as they are huge mobile gun platforms that can shit out lots of firepower. You're supposed to maneuver to avoid damage and make the most of your firepower to make the most impact. Treat it like a consumable like the Orbital Laser, where it temporarily powers you up enough to plow through whatever obstacle you're facing. The one faction you don't want to use it against is bots because, yeah, they're the ones with their own tanks and anti-tank weaponry.

Walkers have always been kind of ass even in the first game but they somehow made it even more ass in the 2nd game because now you can't throw stratagems from it and you can lose both arms.
Back in the first game at least the walkers can never lose arms, can throw stratagems, AND are immune to being slowed.

From memory, the only real drawbacks of walkers in the first game were that the slow speed combined with the shared screen made you an anchor that everyone else had to slow down for, that and the smaller playable space made it easier to accidentally squish someone, though I guess the top down view alleviates that, since you always know where it is. Even with those drawbacks it was still 'fine', since it could actually survive getting shot at, had a bunch of ammo to mow down shit, and could use strategems as you mentioned, it just wasn't very common to see since it's not that engaging to use, and people would rather be maneuverable.
Compare that to how they 'balanced' it in HD2

Only problem with this is the insistence on how every helldiver is a different person that just happens to look, sound and be equipped exactly the same every time and btw chuddie their life expectancy during missions is 2 minutes because our writer, Jeff, thinks that this satirizes fascism instead of causing a massive ludo-narrative dissonance that results in no one taking the world and the story being told seriously.
Concede that Helldivers are elite troops and make them clones, just say that every time a helldiver is recruited they are actually killed to harvest their DNA and then copy&paste billions of times on the super destroyer to die over and over again until the destroyer itself gets ACK'd or the DNA decays so much you just can't use it anymore. There, you still get to keep your clumsy satire of a state using people as resources while giving me the ability to actually track my stats and maybe engage with the world a bit.

Getting chased out of a town by a tornado only to turn a corner and run straight into another tornado so you are sandwiched between them
This was all in this one 3 mission op!! Like it has to be malicious at this point. It can't even be the fallacy where if something is too random it seems like it's constantly repeating, the tornadoes screw you over TOO PERFECTLY each fucking time.

I have been playing star control 2 recently. Kinda nuts that 33 year old game has better planetary modifiers and they work better then game made in 2020s.
In sc2 you have gravity. Temperature. Weather and tectonics.
Gravity affect how much fuel it takes to land on planet. Rest are what you encounter there. Weather is hardest. It means you will be struck by lighting. You cant avoid that. How bad weather is means just how often tou get stuck. Tectonics is slow and random tremors that damage you. You can easily avoid them.
Tempeture is fire storm. Random pattern fire traveling. Higher temepture. More fire everywhere.
Lighting=unavoidable
Fire=random and not telegraphed
Tremors=random and telegraphed.
And you can have planets with all 3. With diffrent severity.
In hd2. We have firestorm. Acid rain. Sandstorm. Snow storm. Tremors. Meteorite storm. Volcano and ion storm. Also tempeture
But we don't have scale of these. Either you have modifier or not. They don't mix and match either. Other than tempeture with some modifiers.
Meteor and Volcano are same. You just run away from firestorm. Tremor is just quick stun. Snow and sand storm are same.
Acid rain best modifier and most unique.
It would be nice if these modifiers went from 1 to 3 and you could have multiple of them in one planet. Have some planet that is just endless storms. You spend as much time fighting enviorment as enemies.

How to make the One True Flag actually good:
1. Turn the current worthless one into a separate meme stratagem that can still be used on anniversaries, Liberty Day, etc.
2a. The warbond one is now an upgraded version of the one from the tutorial.
2b. It takes up the backpack slot instead of support weapon slot, so when you wield a one-handed weapon you carry the flag in your other hand.
2c. Dropping the item still plants it like before.
3a. It gives a 50m radius buff aura around the flag, differing depending on its status.
3b. When wielded alongside a one-handed weapon like a pistol or SMG, it gives a 15% damage boost and 5% defense boost.
3c. When carried on the back while wielding a two-handed weapon, it gives a 10% damage boost and 10% defense boost.
3d. When planted in the ground, it gives a 5% damage boost and 15% defense boost.

Every EXO AC shot does 150 damage to durable, the crotch has 1800HP, durable. It takes 12 out of 200 shots you have to kill a strider, you can kill 16 striders with one Emancipator. If it took half your ammo you did something hilariously stupid with your aim
I always bring the walker to missions with the dawg convoy. If you position yourself in the front of the convoy and drop a shield bubble you can solo the entire thing by raping the factory striders in the eye weakspot, 16 shots per.

sometimes (especially in choke points) it feels like every single patrol gets funneled right to you as soon as you go loud on an objective.
it quickly gets a bit stupid and unmanageable as solo, but then just running away in a big loop or doing something else for a minute is enough to make the place a veritable ghost town, pick off a few things and do the objective - not exactly the most engaging gameplay loop.

It's just restricting your access to resources you are used to relying on to increase the challenge and make the decision where to use them or how and when to approach a Jammer more important.

Normal kind of character establishing calm scenes, then a new major order comes in, something is in peril, yada yada. Suit up, move out, dive, dive, dive. We follow them through a big set piece of a Megacity under attack from squids. They do the mission, evacuate some people, every one dies even the MC RIGHT BEFORE THE CLIMAX BATTLE by some surprise patrol, & are replaced by strangers who carry us through to the end, cue a wrap of scene of them laughing & eating like we got of the first group ending with the klaxon call of a new major order & a close up of some other dude putting on his helmet.

Yes, and the Predator Strain only makes up a fraction of what you encounter in the game as a whole. Your shotgun won't do jack shit against bots when you're trying to engage at 50 meters and a huge chunk of its damage disappears into the air due to the massive drag factor.

Think of it as a low damage, infinite ammo HMG. It has a lot of utility specifically on the bot front because it quickly deals with all the mid level threats, a decent amount of objectives, and can still be used to clear chaff. On the Nids and Squids it works...okay.
If fire still worked properly the burn would have some utility, but it's such a low amount of damage now, that hardly matters. It's pretty good on squids if you have a primary that can easily deal with tons of voteless and fleshmobs, because it kinda sucks at both of those things. I'd say it's objectively bad on bugs. The things you want it to do, it can't really do and that's quickly kill chaff while being able to deal with chargers and alpha commanders in a pinch. Every time I bring it I feel like I should have just brought an MMG.

It's perfectly fine on bots. 2 shots to the head on devs, like any other AR. Accuracy is bad in theory, but the volume of fire and near non-existent recoil makes up for it.
I am convinced none of you actually used it since release. Also it got 4x scope with attachment system which is an upgrade.

NTA but I have long since stopped bothering with going 300 meters out of my way for side objectives unless it can be done quickly. SEAF arty obviously for being both tedious and mostly useless, SEAF SAM especially on squids since the dropship shield buff means the SAM needs 2 hits to kill, and rogue station because sometimes you just can't be fucked to bring demo 50.
