I still think they should add mummies to the game as mini bosses found in revamped desert temples. They react to players based on sight or proximity, slowing you down with a scream while they summon scarabs to dig through the sand and chase you down. We need more mobs to abuse their mechanics to create mini games

>>
>>556074781
I don't really like ray's videos anymore (they became way too clickbaity and trying to go "viral" vs just focusing on the tech), but I do respect ray. He seems to be the closest to /ourguy/ of any of the tech youtubers I'm familiar with (if I recall, I think there are some screenshots of him saying "nigger" back in the day, and he doesn't seem to back down from "cancel culture"), so I really hope he actually does it, if such a thing is even possible
>>556075995
He's definitely got a high-level of autism. I don't know that he stole anyone's design, just that he constantly BEGS to be credited on everything, even on things that are common knowledge or could have reasonably been discovered independently with no knowledge of ray's videos

No, NPCs have existed in Bedrock Edition for a long time, and they look like villagers with the default models. In Java Edition, they recently added manequins, which are just fake players, no NPC functionality.

It's not about history being political (it is)
It's about what theyre chosing to do this with. They deliberately chose the bl*ck people month do do a civil rights dlc. They're not going to continue this unless it's a gay dlc in the gay people month
This being "history" and "education" is just a cover for them being woke and having jungle fever
Where is the american revolution dlc?
Where is the european history dlc? The greek and roman ages dlc? Why not war of troy and oddesey dlc? Personally, I'll be waiting for the WWII dlc. Give us churchill and hitler as villagers. Give us the ability to create our own concentration camp, all decked out with everything. Gas chambers, swiming pools, delivery rooms for pregnant villagers, mastrabation machines, that part of the wall where they forced them to stick a shotgun through it so the barrel would curve up and they would shoot themselves in the head, cremation ovens that are made with extremely rare materials so you'll never be able to build enough of them. Give us the atom bomb dlc. There is so much history to choose from, yet, we know why they made the choice they did

7.2% in the dead of night while the entire western world sleeps, a game that just released in alpha and has next to no content is more interesting

When 1.9.3 came out they retroactively updated all versions from 1.7.2 onwards so that when you click Multiplayer it calls https://sessionserver.mojang.com/blockedservers and if you attempt to connect to a server on that list then it will tell you that the server is unavailable.

Yeah it's not difficult to mod it out, but the mod would break the EULA so you can't upload it to curseforge or modrinth or whatever. You can get it off github though:

Get yourself a bed and sleep through the night to avoid fighting until you have some gear to protect yourself. You need torches, a shield, and some iron gear.

If it turns to night before you have a bed or a base, you can dig yourself a hole in the dirt and cover it for 10 minutes until the sun comes up. You can look at advancements and the recipe book for hints on what to do next.
>>
>>555999562
Everything that doesn't have durability should be stackable. And everything that has durability or other data components should still only take 1/64th of a bundle. Everything that stacks only to 16 should stack to full 64.
An enchantment that you can put on Shulker boxes that allows you to access items inside them right from the inventory without a need to place them.
A setting for treating bundle contents as extensions of the inventory, e.g. picked items would automatically stack with similar items inside bundles, or items from would be automatically placed in the selected hotbar slot when you middle-click on a block you want to pick.

All this would solve so many issue without adding extra inventory rows.
>>
>>556142032
>Everything that stacks only to 16 should stack to full 64.
I'm on two minds on this. I see no reason why eggs and signs only stack to 16, but maybe 64 ender pearls would be too strong in some instances. I'd be fine with all 16-stackable items being bumped to 32. You could then make splash potions stack to 8, and regular potions to 16. I feel like that'd make sense
>>
>>556142792
>but maybe 64 ender pearls would be too strong in some instances
How so? And don't you dare say PVP.
>>
>>556142032
A lot of things that don't stack are done for balance reasons. Like it would make the game ezmode if you could bring several stacks of potions with you, or a stack of totems of undying in your offhand. And things that are basically loot shouldn't stack so sometimes you do have to make choices about what you want to bring with you, e.g. enchanting books and horse armor.

And some shit is just so big that it makes sense that you can't stack them, e.g. boats, beds, minecarts. I'm also fine with filled buckets being in that category, but it's also partially a balance thing because a stack of milk buckets would be imbalanced too.

That said, there is some shit which definitely should be made stackable:

>Mushroom Stew / Beetroot Soup / Rabbit Stew
Only not stackable because it used to be a balance thing as mushroom soup was the only food source in the nether, which it no longer is. Beetroot and Rabbit stew were obviously only made unstackable to match mushrooms, but they're basically useless items as a result (and for the fact that they give you less health than eating the ingredients that go into them). Suspicious stew could stay, as it's a potion, but I'd say it's fine to be stackable because it's basically useless.
>Saddles
Used to be loot, but no longer is now that it's craftable
>Banner patterns
There is no reason why they shouldn't stack when smithing templates do

>And everything that has durability or other data components should still only take 1/64th of a bundle.
That's absurd, bundles are too cheap to be that overpowered. And you definitely shouldn't be able to carry thousands of shulker boxes with you with them.
>>
>>556143076
PvP isn't the only type of balance the game has to consider. When things are too convenient, and the player has too many tools, a lot of content can be trivialized. I'm not sure it applies to ender pearls, and this might just be inertia talking, but 16 to 64 still feels like a big leap
>>
>>556143675
I hate all this "balancing" bullshit. To me these are arbitrary limitations that suck the fun out of the game by forcing me to halt exploration every 5 minutes to reach into a Shulker box or Ender chest or discourage me from engaging with particular mechanics like potions because why even bother when it's inconvenient as fuck. So fucking what if I am able to carry several enchanting books from a dungeon at once?

It is especially weird to try and apply logic to it when you can easily stack literal cubic meters of stone but not minecarts or saddles.

Balance is important. If you could one-shot all enemies with a stone sword, the game would be less fun. I think all stack sizes under 64 should be increased, I'm just not necessarily in favor of all items stacking to 64
>>
>>556147496
I don't like using mods that change actual functionality. I just think keeping a baby polar bear could be interesting because you can make a regular polar bear go from neutral to hostile just by moving a baby into its vicinity, and you don't have to worry about it growing up

>>556157567
i have a pair of mending unbreaking shears and they're comfy, just don't go trigger happy and mind the durability
>>
>>556157567
yeah, if your unbreaking 3 and mending are cheap enough (mine are 1 emerald each) and it only costs a few enchanting levels to put them on, you might as well honestly. i keep a pair of enchanted shears in my ender chest just in case (i also keep a bunch of iron for beacons). i can understand why the wiki would say this, but if you can and you want to, go for it. bring a hoe and hold the shears in your offhand to mend them with the skulk too if you want.

I'm just saying they can do whatever they want, just like you can do whatever you want with your copy and bypass the blacklist. It's also in the interest of their largest customerbase (parents of young children) to keep the game safe, it's not like they're doing this to be evil.

of course they are, they're blocking servers that support saying whatever you want, and keeping servers up that promote gambling to children. if it were about keeping children safe, they would go after the pedophile and gambling servers, not 2b2t. but of course, it isn't, and it never was, it's about being evil by enforcing arbitrarily.
>just like you can do whatever you want with your copy and bypass the blacklist

Be careful not to load all 3 strongholds before reaching Release 1.1 otherwise you wont be able to beat the Ender Dragon

If you make a copy of your world after you generate it you can open it in a later version to get the seed. You can then use this seed to create the world in creative in 1.1 and use eyes of ender to find where your stronghold would generate (I use singular because back then eyes of ender ALWAYS directed you to the same stronghold even if it got overwritten by old chunks and no longer exists)

Unfortunately you'll have to be careful as coordinates do not appear in the F3 menu in both Infdev and Alpha versions, using the sun is misleading also as in those two versions it rose in the North rather than the East. I personally explored a bit in Infdev then copied the world and opened it in Beta 1.7 to draw a border about 20 chunks from spawn to generate and Infdev area going 35 chunks out in every direction from spawn (worlds generated in the Infdev version conveniently always have their spawnpoint permanently set at 0 0)

For Alpha and Beta I explored in directions opposite the stronghold location and avoided losing parts of my stronghold by exactly one chunk.

Do be mindful that exploring in the Alpha version causes some corruption (random chunks generating in area you didn't go to, especially along the map's equator, so you may have to delete regions files in your map folder in Beta 1.7 to get rid of them, if you generate an area for gameplay purposes during the first two versions make sure you explore the entire region file (512x512 blocks) so you dont have to delete chunks you've played on (good luck without coordinates lol).

If you copy your map and port it to Beta 1.7+ you can check your map in worldpainter to see what you generated, and MCA selector from Release 1.5 onwards.

>>556194393
Once you port your world to Beta 1.7 you can make a backup copy of your world without the deleted region files. Once you reach Release 1.5, you can open that backup in Release 1.1 and then in Release 1.5 and then copy paste chunks you didn't want deleted onto your main map using MCA Selector

You have to use Betacraft for the Infdev version to get game audio, for other versions you can use MultiMC with Optifine added from Beta 1.7 onwards, espically since the FPS limiter in b1.7, r1.1, and r1.5 is fucking trash

The best part about this playthrough is adapting to the changes and seeing the "technological advancement" of the world, from walking to Minecarts/boats to now horser and in 5 months Ice roads. The pace of gameplay increases from basically I struggle to even keep my diamond tools to now I'm getting full enchants.

I even use "Amish" style rules like no Nether fast travel because that shit is cringe and overworld travel makes the world feel larger and more logistically challenging, like you have to decide what you have to carry on before long travels. I have other rules like no Enderchests allowed in my world except at a bank I'm building at spawn, chests must have one block space between eachother like they had to be in old versions, and I will have other rules like no mending on diamond tools (they must be Netherrite so no mending tools besides shit like Elythra or Trident until 1.16, I will also only allow shulker boxes to be used inside my E-chests at the bank or something

But often it's easier to just get far away from them so they despawn.

This enough space for a one-color (at least) wool farm? Something easy to maintain and possibly stop and change out the wool color?
>>
>>556245061
all you really need is some grass, a dispenser with shears, and a way to activate it, so it shouldn't need much space
>>
>>556189021
I really wish I did something like this in my alpha world back in the day. it was my first real world that I put any significant amount of time into (probably only like 20 or less hours, but still). I've had two other "main" worlds, and I'm still playing on the last one, but it was started in 1.8 versus all the way back in alpha
>>
>>556245475
It *has* to be grass, which means collection *has* to be through a hopper minecart, yeah? I guess, instead of a huge system of observers I could just use a daylight sensor to activate a row of dispenser-shears. And for accessing the sheep to change its color? A trap door? A fence gate? I think a trap door would be better because a fence gate might induce loss from the hopper minecart not being able to pick it up.
>>
>>556246027
If you're going with a dispenser route, no, you don't need a hopper minecart, just place some hoppers under where the wool would drop, you don't need grass over the whole floor. But you could just shear the wool manually, it's not hard. Also remember to have some grass outside of the reach of sheep so they can't turn it all to dirt.
>>
>>556247074
If I'm trapping them in cells, then I don't think that the wool can drop anywhere except on a grass block. Which is a full block and so a normal hopper won't be able to collect from it. I can't dig higher, but I can dig lower.
I have been doing it manually, and I still have a manual farm, but I think it's about time that I finally make something more automatic (my world is about 2 years old at this point).
Yes, thanks for the reminder about grass. I did remember, that it is integral to the farm. In the opposite corner, I have this much space to work with.

Also just leaving the nether won't help because they will get unloaded but remember aggro state.
>>
Well, this is what I have so far. Above is a small wheat farm that I can move if necessary. Cobble is going to be replaced with dispensers. I currently have seven slots for sheep. There is one block to allow for redstone activation above. One block for the sheep in their prisons. I've dug out one block below for the hopper minecart collection system. I can't quite remember the circuit for automatic unloading, but I know it's fairly simple with like a comparator, a torch, and some redstone dust. I'll activate this all by daylight sensor. I think, this method will also give me a way to completely disable the farm, which is something that I might want to do. In a SSP, it's easy to get overwhelmed by resources from very efficient farms. I'm not entirely sure *how* I want to trigger the hopper minecart collection system. But, I think I might want to set it on a delay and then make one circuit to collect everything. Who knows how easy/compact that'll be, though.
>>
>>556249528
if you're activating the dispensers with a daylight sensor, just pull the signal off that for the hopper minecart with like a repeater of delay or something. should be good enough I would think
>>
FINALLY got the How Did We Get Here? advancement (forgot to take a screenshot like an idiot). man, moving shulkers and elder guardians is a massive pain in the ass, at least in 1.12.2. just three advancements left now, and then that's another thing crossed off my list of tasks before I finally update my world
>>
Trapped my first lambs in one of these cells. When it grew up, it died due to suffocation. I think I can replace the glass block in the middle row with the dispenser and the dispenser in the top row with a glass block and that'll solve the problem. At this level, it'll make access to the sheep and dispenses at the same level, but clearly it'll hurt grass growth. Well, I don't need a farm that produces much, just one that works and is easy to maintain.
>>
>>556247768
The more grass blocks you have around, the faster it spreads on average. And it can spread up to two blocks down, meaning you can put grass blocks around the dispensers to speed things up

And you do need hopper minecarts if you're pulling items through full blocks; hoppers only work with blocks that don't count as full (e.g. soul sand, mud, slabs)
>>
>>556242148
First time seeing a youtuber troon out?
>>
>>556249528
You can use an observer to activate the dispenser, since a grass block changing into dirt will trigger it
>>
>>556256001
Yeah, the next step is to trap a lamb inside, wait for it to grow up, and make sure the basics function correctly. I need blocks to pass redstone to the dispensers, and that could grass blocks. I've made room for a rail line underneath. I have to recall how to make a minecart unloader. I remember the basics: a comparator to check if the hopper underneath has anything, which turns off a redstone torch that is keeps the powered rail active when the hopper is empty.
>>556256173
Yeah, but that's going to take more resources, and connecting those observers to the dispensers is going to complicate the design. I really haven't needed much wool in the first place, and I probably won't really need it now. It'd just be nice to have some trickle in for when I need it.
>>
>>556252814
Are you gonna get it again after you update, with the effects added later?

>>
>>556245732
If you still have an old Alpha world of yours in modern Minecraft, I am aware I encountered an interesting bug back in maybe 1.15 where I tried to open a copy of my first ever world retroactively in Alpha 1.1 and to my amazement it caused the map to reset but preserved the original seed, it even moved my spawn to where my bed was (in a hill so I almost choked out lol, the spawnpoint eventually reset to it's original location though). I used that to essentially make a reboot of my first map in Alpha, kinda like a playthrough of it I never had but should've.

This is what eventually led me to come up with the concept of a chronological playthrough down the line.

Edit: based on this old pic it seems it likely was 1.14 and I opened it in Alpha 1.0 back when I first started playing, but Alpha 1.1 is basically the same terrain generation anyway
>>
>>556269585
I think my old alpha world has already been opened in a newer version (either 1.11 or 1.12), and I don't think I have a copy of it from before I opened it in that newer version. I'll post some screenshots from it when I have time
>>
>>556268848
Redstone can't travel down transparent blocks, but you can trigger dispensers by powering a solid block that's touching them. That is to say, put a grass block on top of each dispenser and run the redstone over those
>>
>>556268848
I haven't played in the newer versions, but I'm a little confused why that isn't working. My guess is it has something to do with the glass. Try replacing that with a solid block and see if that works, or just put a solid block on top of the dispenser. The redstone signal should travel through the block and power the dispenser below
>>
>>556268848
Well, this worked. Farm is functional. Though, a lot of the wool went up, so I might have issues with collection.
>>
>>556271649
>I think my old alpha world has already been opened in a newer version

I've been playing minecraft for over 15 years and I have never had an easy time doing interiors, I've always struggled and the rooms have felt cramped often times claustrophobic even. For the first time ever I started a build from the inside out in hytale, and I'm actually having fun and feeling the layout a lot more. I'm applying this to my current minecraft build and everything is falling into place. Creating the interior first and making a shell around it feels way less stressful, I'm not forcing things to fit any more, they're just placed freely in the way I want them to fit. All the fun the hermits make of the way Etho builds, he's actually on point and I'm going to be doing this from now on in minecraft and hytale
>>
>>556272380
oh downgrading worlds always leads to fuckery. I wouldn't ever recommend doing that without a backup
>>
>>556272359
so redstone sends power through transparent blocks now, but can't travel down transparent blocks? that's confusing
>>
>>556272359
>Though, a lot of the wool went up, so I might have issues with collection.
That's fun that you see this kind of behavior. Something interesting about sheep is their hitbox extends above 1 block just a bit, so if glass was pushed to the block directly above them by a piston, every single piece of wool they drop would go into the glass, and rise above it. It could then be pushed with a water stream to a single hopper and chest for collection.
>>
>>556272359
I think I'm going to have to rip out one row and settle with three or four sheep in one farm. The wool is being ejected out through the top, and if add another lay on top, it'll recreate the issue that I was having before about sending redstone downward. I could use observers to do that, but I really want to limit the amount of 'advanced' redstone blocks in my world. The more that I use them, the more that I need them, the bigger the farms I need to make, the more that I need them, the bigger the farms... It's a pain. I'd rather spend time making my village than making farms.
>>
>>556272824
That's why I said I used a copy
>>
>>556273457
Ooh, a water stream could work, but as it stands, that'd wash away my redstone dust. I might try doing that instead of a hopper minecart underneath.

what did he do do deserve such a fate?

I got so fucked attempting a mansion that I savescummed for the very first time. Axe guys hit super hard and those little angel things are downright unfair. Thank god for Timeshift on Linux, it made an automatic backup that I was able to revert to. (only lost about two hours of progress I had made, but worth it since I got fucked so hard at the mansion.) It's no joke. I think the Axe guys might be stronger than Piglin Brutes.

>2b2tfags are invading hypixel skyblock to protest 2b2ts blacklisting
How long until it backfires and they all get their microsoft accounts banned

If the end result is better anticheat on hypixel then this seems like a good thing overall.

I removed the backrow of sheep so now I only have four in the farm. That's fine. Just by testing this farm out, I already have all of the orange wool that I need for my most immediate build. I need to change their colors to brown now. I moved the redstone to the bottom, and now am using a waterstream to collect the wool from the top. I just need to set up the collection system proper and the daylight sensor powering system as well.

First they came for adult-only coomer mods and their servers, and i did not speak out, because i was not doing adult stuff.

Then they came for /v/craft, because they had some gun mod, and i did not speak out, because i was not playing mods.

Then they came for a tranny child grooming server (literally, they had an LLC for "supporting" confused children, that coincidentally always led them to troon out and create and share cp), and i did not speak out, because i am not trans.

Then they came for Minecraft Online, because they have a free speech policy, and i did not speak out, because i am not doing free speech (just edginess).

Then they came for me, because someone builds swastikas on my pay2play anarchy server with eceleb adverts, and there was no one left to speak out for me.

So i raided the server of a company that created a competition game to minecraft...

I don't want to be mean but Grian has a kinda unfortunate face
>>
What i like most about the 2b2t drama is how their ecelebs go:
>oh well, but it is nuanced! Mojang definitelly had a good reason to intervene, they just do it in the wrong way!
Bootlickers neee to lick boots.

I see in his face centuries of Anglo-Norman dominance, shrewd intelligence, political manoeuvring. Looking at Grian is like looking at some disfavoured sickly Tudor prince. His nose+chin combo screams blue blood.

lmao I'm sure they can add an "original" mummy-like mob the same way they made the stray a white walker knockoff

Future wool storage location. Going to use a copper golem to sort it all out. I know they can only remember 10 chests, but if they're trapped, they're sure to deposit the wool into the right chest eventually.

the one good thing is the troon subhuman server getting nuked, the rest is bad
