DLSS is essentially running the game at a lower resolution to improve performance. However, it uses AI magic to make the game look less shit when running at lower resolution.
Personally, I turn on DLSS, then force DLAA in Nvidia app. DLAA doesn't reduce resolution but still has the AI magic active, which introduces anti-aliasing.

Frame Generation is AI-generation of frames, so that you appear to get higher FPS. Between 2 frames, AI generates a frame between them, so you get 3 instead. It looks smoother, but you don't get less input lag from having more organic frames. In fact, it increases input lag. Your FPS is also not literally multiplied; you lose performance having the feature turned on. Your "base FPS" decreases by turning on Frame Generation, and that decreased base FPS is multiplied to get your final FPS.
Let's say you get 60 FPS without frame gen on right now. You'd expect frame gen to nearly double that to 100-120 FPS. However, the AI itself has a performance impact. First, it reduces your base performance to a lower FPS, let's say 45 FPS for example. Doubling that would be 90 FPS or less. And the smoothness of your input feels like gaming at 45 FPS.

Basically, here's what you should do.
Let's suppose you're trying to get the best echoes for Iuno as an example.
Her echo set is Crown of Valor.
First thing you should do is go click on "Filter On/Off" at the top of the echo menu and pick Crown of Valor.
Pick your echo. (Mind you, the first ones you should tune are ones that don't require Modifiers to change the main stat. So for example, if an echo has "Electro DMG Bonus", don't prioritize upgrading them. Prioritize upgrading the ones with main stats that are already good for your character. In this case "Aero DMG Bonus" for Iuno. Once you've exhausted these, then you should use Modifiers, assuming you aren't satisfied with your echoes.)
Click "Upgrade" on the bottom right.
Next to the button with the gear symbol at the bottom left, modify the settings to look like this. This way, it turns to "Add by Step" and only levels up 5 levels at a time while also simultaneously tuning the substat for those five levels. Again, if you get dogshit substats after LV10, press the Z button, which discards the echo.
Then once you've accumulated enough discarded echoes, you can go into your backpack's echo menu, press the trash button, sort by discarded first and then discard them for 70% of your upgrade materials back.

It's time consuming, but that's just how it is if you want to optimize your characters.

Niggas from Lahai-Roi can additionally inflict one of two new status effects on enemies: Radical Dude! (toggle left in skill menu) and Cool As Fuck! (toggle right in skill menu). If an enemy has Radical Dude! or Cool As Fuck!, when you press F to Awesome, you get additional effects that don't matter unless you pull a main DPS from Lahai-Roi like Aemeath and Luuk. More specifically, Radical Dude! becomes Radical Dude - Crazy! and Cool As Fuck - Crazy!
Leave it on Radical Dude! (left toggle) on Lynae for now, it's marginally better than Cool As Fuck! (right toggle).

We already know from her echo set that Sigrika is an echo skill damage dealer, there's no mention of tune shit anywhere, she might not want Mornye at all. We don't know anything about Lucilla's kit. I could very easily see Mornye not being BiS for any future units besides Amy and Luuk
