Finally implementing Flicker Strike in my PoE ripoff Unity project tonight. It took a lot longer than I expected to figure out how to code a system I like for status effects, but I think I've settled on something nice.

I didn't even play. I've spent thousands of hours mastering speed running campaign over many builds and finally settled on a perma league starter. I cannot put all this knowledge together in an event that deletes the ascendencies I mastered and gives me completely new ones.

I played phercia the first time just because, now it's just meh.

It really depends on how many uniques or influenced suffixes your build needs... and if you have mageblood. Though you can alleviate a lot of suffix pressure and fix your ailment immunity in one move by using purity if you don't rely too much on other reservations

finally reached level 90 and all I get is a lousy body armor

Am I the only one who think playing melee in PoE2 is just the worst thing ever?
I'm not talking about damage and/or defenses although that's certainly a part of it but every time I play melee and I get some "trail of ice" elites or a rare with temporal bubble I just want to fucking smash something.
This is especially apparent in the early game when melee characters are slow as shit moving and attacking.
When I enter a vaal temple and I get those big forge guys and they either have the hinder aura or the cold explosion things or temporal bubble it's just like what even is the point of playing.
I wouldn't be so assmad about it if it was painful for ranged and casters too but it's not.
As a spell/bow/xbow cuck I just sit there vomiting spells and attacks from range safely and when he does anything I just dodge out of the way or move or slow him down and it's not an issue at all.
How has this been going on over a year and there are no improvements to melee combat at all?
I don't know honestly why PoE2 is getting so much praise from everyone. I guess people just don't mind this insane discrepancy? They don't see it? It just doesn't register to them?
Is it that they think it's normal? I'm so at a loss.

It's a combat sandbox with Diablo loot, you can play however you like. Blocking is initially stronger than dodging and if you wear heavy armor and use a weapon with high block stacks it will barely drain any stamina.
You can also wear light armor and use ninjutsu that lets you jump/teleport great distances to physically dodge attacks. Rolling has very few iframes in Nioh. Or you can unlock parry moves and focus on parrying if you so desire.

/pooegg/ers want a new AAA Ritualesque experience from every league every 2 months and that's just not realistic. Kingsmarch, mercenaries, and Zana+Sirus' sekrit child storyline were all fragments of 4.0 which was canceled when one game two campaigns was introduced 500 years ago.

No meaningful work has been done on PoE 1 since. Despite that, PoE 2 is still 4 years from being ready for release and they're panic releasing it in 2027 just to pull off the band-aid. We know from GGG's open positions that Jonatroon still codes all new mechanics himself because Zaccie is so disgusting that he forced all of GGG's other devs to quit.

A fragmented codebase that nobody at GGG besides Jonathan understands, no vision, and two dead games are all we have to look forward to. Doommaxxing is the only viable entertainment strategy going forward.

Why do people seem to dislike keepers so much? Not trying to defend it, I'm fairly new to poe1 and found the tree pretty cool + most encounters (not fortress) fun enough. People said loot was shit on really hard in keepers patch I guess? It was pretty rough but I assumed that was poe1 in general due to the difference in rarity

These didn't even register for me because I don't give a shit about making identical div/h every league, I don't mind economy being different or even straight up worse. It doesn't register as a problem to me.
As for same meta builds, if you played the same meta builds with the foulborns in the game, that's your own problem really.

As for POE2, endgame is totally fine to me now, druid was a good addition to the game, and I don't give a shit about the economy either, maybe even less cuz the game is kinda undertuned so not like you need much currency to demolish it.

PoE hasn't gotten a league mechanic that's gone core that has changed mapping in a meaningful way in about four years barring maybe Settlers with gold farming and ores. That's how grim things are. So many of these leagues are just low effort trash like Crucible, Necropolis, LoK, etc, but remember GGG told us that 2's development would have no impact on PoE. Now they are actively removing the few decent farms left while Poo 2 showers you in raw currency. They want this game to die and you can't convince me otherwise.
