Gets easier once you realise you can do it on any route. I reloaded a save on a kenshin route playthrough after Kenshin had just won the Race. Empress Kenshin’s passive ability takes two action flags away from all enemies which is extremely useful for capturing them. I also had the dokuganryu family bonus equipped, which meant i had Omachi. I had enough good units at that point, so after blocking the blitz and assassinating Shingen, all I had to do was leave one or two countries alive and bleed their commanders dry until they recruited the takedas. Still annoying though

The entire point of part 2 is that it’s a ploy by crook in order to expand Ludo’s taste beyond just the grimdark absurdism the Rance series is known for in order to stop the world from going to shit all the time. It’s not missing what made Rance good for no reason(although the writing is still questionable), it’s meant to be that way since the world has gotten much safer thanks to Rance and co.’s efforts
