-Constitution (Could kill warlords (Hulks in HD2) from the front, had an absurdly long bayonet range, had almost no weakness once you learn melee dodge)
-Stalwart (Was a primary)
-Sickle (Fired lasers in pulse, was extremely accurate and had no recoil)
-Jump Pack (Had no cooldown and could be refilled by ammo, 1 pod drops 2)
-C4 Pack/REC-6 (Didn't take a backpack slot, had 180s cooldown, can't refill ammo)
-Exosuits (Arms won't break and could throw stratagems)
-Orbital Railcannon (Had 60 sec cooldown)
-Reinforce (Had no limits, you fail the mission if the last man dies and fails to reinforce)
-Ship NPCs (Had hair and one of them was cute)
Those are the ones that i can think of. Not saying that HD1 is better in every way of course.
HD2 double freedom mogs HD1's, and you literally had to buy a certain DLC otherwise you can't jog or sprint in snow planets. And Cyberstan was and is a snow planet.

He shouldn't have done that to himself, but that's what autism does to people.) He still makes videos, just nowhere near as often as he did. Actually no, hulks also exist in HD1, same exact name and role just with differing weaknesses and weapons. Warlords are more equivalent to War Striders due to being mostly immune to anything that isn't high caliber (AP4 heavy penetration, lasers at dead zero angles, burning from fire puddles or anti-tank weaponry) unless at low health. Also you could do the same with the Camper Sniper which is equivalent to DCS in HD2 or the P6 Gunslinger (upscaled silver P4 Senator essentially) which HD1 Constitution and DCS were essentially heavy pen instead of medium

-Punisher was THE gun for Illuminates due to how good it is at killing through shields. Pretty sure people still bring it to D13+ Illuminates too. It's a completely different case over HD2 where no one brings the punisher aside from trying to level it up.
-I wouldn't say that HD1 stalwart sucked, it's good at what it does even though it's outclassed by the best gun in the game, just like in HD2 except it was a primary.
-I'll still stand by my point about the sickle. HD2 Sickle's small delay before firing upon button press, the visual obstructions, and the fixed recoil makes it feel inferior to the more accurate, sharp, and snappy HD1 sickle.

It's arguably the best anti-illum weapon in the game, bar absolutly fucking nothing, because it one-shots D15 watchers through their shields from any range and would consistently do the same to tripod/strider heavy infantry on dead zero angles too meaning it stops illum drops on their tracks and also helps you clear them even when they do happen. It's a dubious weapon on Cyborg front but not half bad in Bug front.

Hold M1. No literally hold M1. It has inverse recoil mechanics like the negev in CS meaning the longer you fire the more accurate it is, coupled with 8 mags and, fucking what, 150 rounds per mag for only 3 upgrade points? You can just endlessly magdump and stuff entire waves of scouts on your own. Very strong bug and illum front weapon if used correctly. Not as good as Justice for clearing out heavy infantry though but the same can be said for Patriot. Not accurate or ammo efficient but you don't really care when you can lay out laser fire for like 10 seconds before reloading
Same thing applies to all the other MGs in HD1 btw.

Tap fire. It's retarded but tap each shot, HD1 recharges the microsecond you stop holding the button unlike in HD2 where it has a certain delay.

TANKERS CHOICE LOBBY ALL TANKS ALL THE TIME
Everyone try to be in a tank at all times. With 4 on rotation tanks only need to survive an average of 3 minutes. The two passengers can call in resupplies/stratagems and sport tank-like guns such as minigun, BFGL, AC, RR, flamethrower, smoke grenades, PDW smgs, sabers and flags for morale, etc. Can take turns driving on each person's calldown or I can just drive the whole time if no one feels like it

My honest thoughts on the update now that the hype has died down a bit

S-tier, great on all factions. The warbond is worth it for this alone.
>Hammer
As good as a melee weapon is going to get in this game. Blasting hulks and war striders is very enjoyable, especially when paired with the warp pack. I think it would be fun on bugs, but probably frustrating. Hover pack + hammer kills on bile titans would be kino. Squids, you could bring it because you can bring anything. A good gimmick strategem, I'll allow it.
>Leveller
The Solo Silo gives you power and precision with a slightly longer cooldown. EATs give you excellent AT spam. The Leveller sits awkwardly in the middle. I think reducing its cooldown by 20-30 seconds would give me more reason to take it.
>AutoGL
A good middle of the road support weapon. The backpack capacity and handling hold it back. It can unleash the hurt when you need it to, but not for a very long time, and heavies eat up a ton of ammo. Also, the splash is small so you need to aim well against chaff. Completely overshadowed by the older GL getting buffed. As far as general utility goes, I'd much rather have the MMG.

The real surprise and winner of the warbond. It's tough and it's got insane firepower. The big drawback is teamwork. I was on comms with my friend, and we shut down massive bot drops in a city map. But you'll see a lot of pubbies call this thing in, fuck around, and die without completing much besides getting kills. i'd recommend hopping in the driver's seat if you want to bring the maximum contribution to your team.

While it's true that it overheats faster, it also cools down much quicker than the HD2 one, and there's no delay either, you just let go of the trigger and it vents all its heat super quick. Personally it just doesn't soak up enough damage, should be at least twice as durable for how slow it is. As far as backpack reloading is concerned, it should draw ammo from the shooter's backpack as a priority, enabling people to 'hop on' to speed up your reload speed at random times, making for emergent gameplay that doesn't get fucked over by one player getting instagibbed or ragdolled away from the person operating the support weapon. This has been suggested for 3 years though so it probably won't happen

Orbital Railcannon strike had a 60s cooldown in HD1 compared to 154s in HD2(used to be ~185). You could also team reload any backpack weapons with any backpack, they weren't locked to the specific weapon type it spawned with. So players with a RR backpack could reload Commando users and vice versa.

Yesterday i spent 2 drops in my mech, getting hit by chaingunners, missiles, etc and i didnt die, didnt lose my arms. Yeah i was smoking by the end of it, but i was almost out of ammo anyway so the armor did it’s job, felt tanky enough. I even ran into a dev swarm at one time to keep the flag objective humming, again didn’t get insta-gibbed like some people here imply, did some shooting stomping and i was ok.
I did a stint as a gunner too, tank lasted a long while while we were mowing down bots at medium range, looked like we might ran out of ammo. We only died when the driver went full retard and started roadkilling a full drop.
The vehicles feel okay, the frv is supposed to be a light-skinned vehicle so it’s arleady shockingly durable for what it is.

I'm a smidge disappointed with how it looks like the cyborg's place in the bot faction is them being played completely straight as the secret controlling party and especially will be extra hard miffed if we will see the bot actually rendered into canonically mindless drones for real like what the SE propaganda says.
I enjoy bots being angry fire and blood ragers who decorate the places with iconography and crucify bodies and wear gore trophies. It all give them a bit of flair to stand out from other robot armies being emotionless/wholly utilitarian. It was fun to glean that the bots have a sort of spiritual reverence for the borgs and the Vessel 001 or whatever it was that their origin point had been.

Tank is amazing with a 4 stack. It feels like the most team worky strat in the game, but FRV is a lot easier to use and get worth out of it.
Warbond is very lackluster. The hammer is the best part about it, while everything else is sorta just mid, awful, or a sidegrade. Leveller is pretty cool though, and I can see it getting a lot of use in the future for factory strider destroyer.
Trident is okay
Hammer is fun and solid
Armor is useless.
Shield grenades are neat, but worse smokes
GL I haven't used but heard awful things about it
Leveller is fun but another discount red.

It's fun.
Despite the excessive cooldown on the tank, it can be deployed as many times as you like unlike the mechas.
New warbond makes melee actually viable and fun. New stratagems are good. Pairs well when coupled with stealth armors too as the hammer is silent when unloaded and still deals significant damage so it compliments the previous warbond as well.

Bots are distinct from the borgs as they seem worshipful of the cyborgs but more explicitly laid out as lore goes is just the information around Vessel 00 from some months back which was revealed as some manner of ship sent off from cyberstan four years before start of the game the that is the origin point of the bot which is not something that a population of borgs should be avble to reproduce fast enough from to become the gargantium bot army we all know and shoot today.

It's VERY strong. OHK Hulks. It can OHK war striders (in the dick) or 2 blasts to the feet. It can OHK factory striders (in the eye) or 4 to the feet. It has a good splash damage for bots that are together, the reload is almost instant and if you wear the melee armor you can smash devastators easily even without the explosive charge.
Yesterday i tried with others anon, it pairs extremly well with eagle or orbital smoke strikes. We cleared multiple bot-drops with only a eagle smoke strike and then going full apeshit mode into them with hammers.

for my opinion? some modularity would definitely be welcomed. obviously weapons yes, but what about other utilites? if bots can slap jetpacks on hulks why can't we on the EXO? same thing. have backpack equivilant stuff that is installable on them for starters, that's probably the obvious thing to think of.

The AutoGL is good. It requires a bit of ammo conservation, but when you unleash the DAKKA it rapes. It's more of an anti-chaff anti-medium weapon. If you try to blow up every hulk and war strider from the front, you'll quickly run out of ammo. Pairs well with the EAT and cuck chair. Now, they could increase the ammo by 25-100 rounds and I would not complain at all. But it's still solid where it's at. Unfortunately it gets overshined by the buffed GL + supply pack combo, but if you only want one slot for a support weapon, this one is nice.

As shown in the movies, handheld blasters are basically always semi-auto with a low rate of fire. Only big emplaced guns that are basically hooked up to a series of car batteries show full auto. Even starfighter guns fire strangely slow, TIEs shoot at like 300 rpm and the X-wing only seems to shoot fast because it evenly staggers its 4 guns.

The way Megacity planets, Hive Worlds and Lava Planets work is, they have more HP than standard planets, which have 1 million HP. So you have to account for that in the calculations. Lesath, with its 4 Megacities, is like trying to liberate a planet with 2.4 times the amount of HP under a 2% decay rate. That's why it's taking so long despite having the Blob's full attention and DSS support.

This bouncing 'feature' is hands-down the worst one in this game. GOD FORBID you take advantage of elevated positions for a tactical advantage against the unending swarm of enemies thrown your way. The worst part is, it happens on completely level ground that isn't even elevated either, resulting in resupply/sentry drops to go places you don't want them. Fucking FUCK, this should be the next thing they nerf into the floor, if not outright remove it in its entirety.

The tank is fun to use but I've been test driving it in level 1 lobbies and I just really don't like how it feels like every little thing slows it down. Plowing through cars, light posts, and over little crates should not be slowing me down so much.

It's viable in D10, it has enough health to survive multiple anti-tank cannons and rockets and it's completely immune to machinegun fire. The HMG on it can kill hulks to the face without even using the main tank cannon and you can easily crush anything smaller than that by running them over.
Beware berserkers or melee units in general though, they can easily fuck you up.

It's exactly the same as regular smoke except it explodes immediatly instead of in a fuze, it's, not really that big of an advantage considering you can just cook regular smoke in your hand with no downsides
