Like I said it's been years but my problem with it was, for example, shit like shutting down a sven. trying to gank him in his now massive fucking jungle to no avail because he's got so much more space to run around in. then he comes back farmed anyway. Duo laning is much better because you two can coordinate and play off of each other's quirks and strengths. It's not perfect though because it depends on the comp, and if they have different ideas of how to macro.

Like I love ratting and split pushing and ganking to keep the enemy team oppressed. I will spend a lot of time smacking towers, and working towards smacking towers faster. One friend *HATES* split pushing, and pushing in general. He complains every time I use him and the rest of the team as a distraction to take a free rax. Laning is fine though. We generally stomp the lane together (even though we don't see eye to eye 100%). Laning solo vs with him is night and day.

Don't know how a good 3+ stack is like. Haven't queued more than duo'ing.

Also I obsessively make clips so sometimes I get to share clips from the collection with friends if they're in them, which is nice. Usually I keep them all to myself since I'm not trying to be a streamer or w/e.

8 minutes before Bfury. A couple minutes shy of breaking even (when you sell the hand). You could more or less have the attack speed of a Glove for 10 minutes and get a slightly late Bfury otherwise (foregoing the incremental Pornucopia/+damage recipes parts).

Or you could just spend the two minutes of gold on a Glove of Haste. Build it to treads like a normal person and enjoy the superiority of that.

If you really enjoy the attack speed, however, it... Also only sets your timing for a Bfury back by about 1k gold, if you plan to hold onto it instead of sell it, and is then on a 100g per minute. So... How much is Bfury increasing your farm? If you get it three minutes late because of Midas, how many +~100g minutes do you need to offset that? 5 or more, maybe?

So MAYBE, MAYBE it's worth on heroes like Faceless, Ursa or MAYBE on carries that you're 110% certain are going to be relegated to farming side camps in the jungle and otherwise get sat on- Scenarios where you're getting limited access to farm, no matter how fast you can farm it.

But it's undeniable that you're more taxing economically with the latter than the former is likely to turn your game around.

Fat Chance will certainly grant you at least... An upgrade to a triple proc over a double proc, or so on, once or twice per game. But... Y'know the problem is really that you're getting a slightly better fireblast- MAYBE you oneshot a really unlucky support when you wouldn't have... Something like 1 in 10 times? You spread Ignite or Bloodlust to one extra person- Assuming they wouldn't have got it already (No value to multicast with only one target in range anyways)

The real problem you feel, I think, are players who think Ogre doesn't have to have a physical presence in lane with his meat at level 1 because of Learning Curve. What Learning Curve really has over Fat Chance is a nearly immediate "Buy three extra stacks of tangoes or fucking perish" tax that has a permanent economy impact and a "Fuck you, we party NOW" phase at level 5, where you can start pelting them to fish for double fireblasts and getting Bloodlust VALOO at least three or four times before they can get their ults to swing back.

Those two early legs up seem objectively superior to getting a couple quad casts (instead of triples) at 55 minutes.

And yet, even knowing and believing in that explanation
I dread a Learning Curve Ogre. I fear that he's going to stand behind the tower at level 1 while the enemy gleefully blocks our camps and denies every creep more than I fear a zero-impact facet

Let's math it out:

Ogre starts with 25 STR + 4.2 per level. So we we set up checkpoints at say, lv 6, 12, 18, 25, and 30, we would have STR values of:

Base Multicast spread is: 25% / 45% / 15% / 15%
In-game, Fat Chance Multicast is shown as: 75% / 30% / 15% which seems to just be (45+15+15)% / (15+15)% / 15% to match base Multicast. And then it adds the +% to all three tiers. Given the way it's represented, it seems like they add the +% purely to the 4x tier. So +5% becomes 20%/45%/15%/20%, and +10% becomes 15%/45%/15%/25% and so on.

So base Multicast would have a damage multiplier of: 1x0.25 + 2x0.45 + 3x0.15 + 4x0.15 = 220% damage per spell cast at lv 18.
Naked Fat Chance at lv 18 would have a damage multiplier of: 1x0.18886 + 2x0.45 + 3x0.15 + 4x.0.21114 = 238% damage.

Overall we can represent the DPS value as: (2x0.45 + 3x0.15) + (0.25 - 0.0006p) + 4x(0.15 + 0.0006p) = 2.2 + 3x0.0006p = 220% + 0.18% per STR
So the difference in DPS is simply: +0.18% per STR. It's just an objective increase in spell damage for existing. That part's certain. The question is, is it worth it?

Naked Ogre with only boots midas and maybe aghs would get +18% spell damage for existing, which is almost +10% more damage than base. This value can double if Ogre buys STR items instead of INT items like hex and shit. But he won't.
Veil of Discord is 1,725 gold for +10% spell damage amp, and also amps teammate spells.
Lina shard is 1,400 gold for +35% spell damage for herself.
So the facet itself can be about +1.5k net worth purely from a damage perspective. Doesn't consider multi-hexes and shit.

And then there's Midas:
220% of +160 gold per cast is average +352 gold per cast.
238% of +160 gold per cast is average +380.8 gold per cast.
So that's +28 gold per cast every 90 seconds, so that's +19 gpm.
So overall value, the facet gives you +1.5k + 19gpm for existing.
