I think parenting is one of those things that's easy to say in hindsight, so that's the one thing I'm willing to not blame any parent on unless they actively neglect their get kids. As much as I appreciate summaries I would want someone to actually look at the content themselves. Most of the time you shouldnt explain commus to other people if you only read a summary. Reading and listening especially are really important to understanding things for yourself. HarukiP said something similar to this in one of his commu summaries. You get a lot more out of them when you can actually hear the VA speak. I think in her WING haruki almost cries when shes talking to producer and that emotion makes them a lot better.

It's the correct mentality under the caveat that "experiencing it" includes workarounds for the gacha/limited availability. You should (almost) always try to experience something firsthand rather than basing your thoughts on revisions or just hearsay. Even if you get the right information from an external account, you can end up have a more personal experience by doing it yourself which can affect the way you perceive and feel about the material. This applies to many things in life.

As far as "one's value as a P" goes, I feel there's a fair minimum amount of effort required to get that value, but there isn't too much pressure to go beyond that. Like, I can sit here and flaunt having tons of stuff for my idol or show off P-Cup rankings, but there's no real reason to because at the end of the day someone else can get the proper core experience without that stuff. More effort can modify the experience/value, but it's not necessary so long as they hit the baseline and have a real interest. If someone I knew bought a nice car, I'm not gonna sit there and talk shit just because they didn't add the $80 ashtray to their package. Some people may just not have the time/resources to get further into things or haven't been into it as long and that's fine so long as they get to it eventually. Everyone's gotta start somewhere.
I've been struggling to shorten this post for like 30 minutes now, but basically I'm willing to meet people halfway so long as they try to take things seriously. It's supposed to be a fun hobby and should be treated as such, but I draw the line when someone doesn't bother respecting the source material at all.

Reading summaries is okay. Expecting people to dripfeed you with info is okay if you're a beginner. Especially for a content as huge as im@s where you can miss things even if you're there on day 1, or something that could have multiple interpretations like SC. However if you start clamoring that you are (thing)'s fan#1 without experiencing the content first hand even though the content is readily accessible, then that's when it gets bad. It's also bad if you're just going to base your entire perception of something based on words regurgitated by someone else, which sadly happens more often than not.

I'm kind of late to the discussion but I want to elaborate regarding summaries because I think that's somewhat what the topic was intended for. I think they're honestly really good at serving as hooks to get people interested in [IDOL] but I don't think they'll ever replace the actual commus themselves and I definitely don't think you can call yourself an [IDOL]P if you only read summaries but not the commus themselves.
I think the summaries absolutely 100% have value because they might be the single best way to advertise (You)r idol to people on /@/ because the route of:

>thinks "Oh this actually sounds pretty interesting, I'll go read the actual thing"
is probably the best way to maybe not convert people to your idol but it's an easy way to educate and get people interested. I unironically read most of the summaries posted here and I've gone ahead and developed deeper into a handful of idols because of it.
But on the whole I generally agree with the idea some people already brought up where you can only actually call yourself an [IDOL]P if you actually start reading [IDOL] content proper. You can read a thousand summaries about one idol but you're not actually experiencing said idol, you're looking at them through somebody else's lens. It don't think it matters if you do it by playing the game, watching a recording of it, or using a commu viewer, but you do actually have to read in order to get the proper experience.

Reading commus doesn't instantly make you a P but I think if you're going to say "Oh I'm [IDOL]P" you need to have actually read something. I don't even necessarily think it HAS to be commus if said idol has other material you can gnaw on (manga, anime, etc.). Like, if you read all of Takumi's manga and really fell in love with her there, I think you can probably say you're a TakumiP.
This is all somewhat arbitrary anyway because there's literally nothing stopping anyone going from "Oh I'm [IDOL]P" and having literally never done anything but jack off to a doujin one time but I definitely think you need to actually interact with some official material of some kind before you can really be a P. I just think people are doing themselves a disservice otherwise.

I actually watched the stream and Yammy mentioned that at the HIF stage you perform two songs. One is the performance you do at HIF and the second is the one you do after you become PS at the Prima Stella Final Stage. He says there are two songs performed but I'm not sure if he means two songs done at the PS Final Stage or its HIF and PSFS as the two songs.
He went over it really quick but that may be to prevent spoiling that the the second song (if there is one) is probably the HIF equivalent to Campus Mode they'll still have to reveal
