Not really.. Khorne runs on negative money. You can simply make muhreens T0, which they kinda have to be, but increase their upkeep to that of what would now be.. chosen or swordmaster. Then the player can only bring like 5-6 while all the others can bring 20 units.

If I had to interpret this shit then I would say it ticks once every 20 seconds but the buff lasts for 5 seconds when you're out of melee so if you run out of melee at 16 seconds it still triggers for another -5s cooldown.

Ah, one of those fun ones. It casts for 5 seconds and then reduces cooldown by 5 seconds and cds for 20 seconds.. so it actually has a 25sec cooldown because it can't cd while casting.
If something ticks every second it says like on the healing potion "healing per second" and then the duration.

DoW 3 didn't get enough hate. Everyone just focused on the shitty moba gameplay and flippy terminators but the campaign was an abomination.
It bounces around between the races instead of each race having their own specialized campaign focused on them. Just want to play orks because they're your favorite faction and couldn't give a fuck about gay space elves? Too bad you have to play with eldar before you can have fun again.
There aren't even that many missions too so it just feels like you barely get into the groove of a faction while you're hopping between them. I don't know what the hell Relic was thinking but it's easily the worst RTS campaign I've ever played.

That's barely a shrink from the what 16 in vanilla? I think Grail Knights/Guardians are the unit hit the hardest in terms of shrinkage, but the idea is to reflect how strong they are in lore, so fewer dudes but they're substantially stronger.
I find Warhammer battles a little small already and far too influenced by a few AoE spells so I never play without this mod anymore that lets you adjust unit size far beyond vanilla parameters.

Not very, I cannot recall a single example of the top of my head. Druchii are smart enough to understand that Skaven are treacherous cunts who can't be relied upon in any capacity and also consider themselves far superior to filthy rats, so any co-coperation would be based on a short-term alliance of convenience. There's also the fact that rats are chaos worshipers of a kind, which Dark Elves generally frown upon. I guess Morathi might manipulate them to do her bidding.

You could try not cheesing. Get a bunch of flying units and harass their ranged units that aren't protected by a nearby melee unit, changeling starts with 3 of them. After theyre all dead use the chimera to kill the melees. The barrier makes him amazing at hit and run tactics to fuck up units for 5-10 seconds then dipping. Only downside is that flying pathing is total dogshit in 3, and eventually a single entity will get stuck on the ground and cause the rest of the unit to wipe.

I ultimately decided to replace all ground infantry with Irondrakes, and Trollhammers with Gyrobombers. The runelord leading the army is equipped with the chilling weapon, has 50% fire res, 60% phys res, 40% spell res, applies -20% fire res to enemies in 35m, and -10% missile res to enemies in local province, which means he can be sprayed with napalm and he's going to love the smell of it. Also equipped with that health regen item. I think this is going to fuck, I can't wait to try it out

For me its the Rat Ogres. They are generally bottom of the barrel, but I happened to get Banner of Swiftness + Verminous Scurrying in first few turns of my Throt campaign. With 90 speed they are surprisingly fun: with Throts buffs the belly flop routs most ranged units on charge, letting Ogres charge again and again, while 90 speed makes them significantly more able to avoid arrows and heavy cav. They arent good-good, but there's something enticing watching retarded steroid rats causing absolute mayhem in enemy backlines.

Start your second army of kossars turn 1 and get as many as you can while katarin takes the province then by the time you head north you'll have a decent force for dealing with early game rats. If you're lucky you can catch hell pit while throt is attacking kostaltyn or praag and then you can mop him up after.

The insides have ramps that you can put your artillery on. This gives them enough elevation for good line of sight and gives you your "fire on walls" effect you want.
It's just for fort maps though so what CA should do is widen out the walls and include these ramps.

You seem to be arguing this from some sort of power perspective, thinking that I want to be more powerful or have problems winning sieges. I do not, mostly because the maps cause intense AI retardation which makes them easy to cheese. That isn't very satisfying though. Sieges aren't terrible because they are hard, or because they are easy, they are awful because they are poorly designed.
Being unable to cast damage spells on units on walls is bad, not because it makes walls too strong or mages too weak, but because it is an obvious band-aid solution to a huge flaw in the base design of the game. It it extremely gamey, unless you are willing to entertain the laughable that every single faction has identical anti-magic walls in their every major city.
The real solution of course is to allow spellcasting freely on units on walls. It would make AOE damage spells really good in siege battles, but so what? It's not really a balance issue as both sides have access to AOE damage spells, so it hardly benefits the player over the AI. But of course that would require the AI to actually use more than 2 spells, which would require effort, to which CA is allergic to. You could argue it would make direct damage spells more valuable compared to buff/debuff spells, but that's a question of numbers which could be adjusted.

Something that really annoys me is they did actually improve sieges by having actual complex siege maps instead of the one wall garbage but they've nerfed garrisons to such an extent you can never hope to defend it.
The siege layouts that should benefit the defenders by funneling the attackers instead give the attackers more paths to attack from than a garrison force can ever hope to cover so it's just hopeless and completely unfun.
There were plenty of times in WH1&2 on siege defense where I eeked out victories against much larger forces or inflict substantial damage so they couldn't keep sweeping through my settlements but now in WH3 I just hit auto because there's no chance. It's just pointless. Fucking stupid.

I struggle to enjoy the game after WH2. The mod that removed retaliation script from being triggered (ie units drop whatever they're doing to "fight back") made the game feel so much better. Having your cavalry retreat when told to do so, having your lord focus the enemy lord it was told to attack that was embedded in enemy infantry or just your infantry continuing to fight enemy infantry instead of going zzz because they were trying to "fight back" against the archers they got shot by just made the game so much smoother. You could fight against the enemy instead of fighting the shitty spaghetti coding.

Accurate and you need to pick a single front to focus on asap. Personally I go for Kemmler after taking Marienburg on the way (and gifting it back) since he will declare war on you at like turn 8-10 anyway and you want to free up Louen to fight off Be'lakor and keep Grom occupied. Doing this ensures you don't get ass fucked by orcs to the south and you can consider that front solidified. Then you have 2 options, either go north for orcs/festus/potentionally wulfric OR go take on Vlad which is more of a slog. In a few recent campaigns after dealing with Kemmler, Vlad is already on my doorstep and Toddy is long gone so I had to deal with both fronts, but I had enough gold in the bank to have 2-3 stacks by then

Wiped him and returned Blackstone and Karak Z to the Dwarves since they payed the most for them and Artois/Bastonne to Lyonesse since he payed way more than Louen. I think this may have been a mistake though since they're minor factions and Grom absolutely fucking steamrolled through them in 2 turns and was knocking on my forts. For normal factions it works but oddballs like this CA should just have them build their armies based one what turn it is/what level their lord is/how many settlements they have, rather than their more complex recruitment. Basically to make the AI use a system you need to have AI developers build support for that system from the ground up.
Players can't see the AI use these systems so the only indication the AI is working or not is if it just kind of breaks like Changeling does.
This gives CA's terminally incompetent management an excuse to say "it doesn't matter" and lay off their AI developers, then turn around and claim a big fat bonus from all the money they saved the company by not having those expensive AI dudes on payroll. By the time anybody isolates the issue and figures out what's gone wrong, there have been too many layers of spaghetti code draped over that gaping hole in the AI's behaviour and it can't be filled in without breaking a half-dozen other things.

Chorfs are pricey, but a great race, definitely recommended.
Vamp Coast and Tomb Kings are both good, just get the Victory Condition overhaul mod.
Prophet & Warlock is highly recommended for Skaven.
Twisted and Twilight is definitely the way to go over the TWH1 WElves DLC, same with SIlence & Fury over vanilla Beastmen DLC.
These are the DLCs I'd consider essential. Beyond those, just go with whatever races you like playing.

So either heavily armored ranged/artillery defenders or ranged heavy armies?
Chorfs have been recommended and so do I. They are like dwarves (highly armored frontline and great artillery), but both come online slower while being more powerful. Early on they rely on chaff slaves and sparse Chorfs/artillery/monstrous units doing the heavy lifting.
For more ranged-heavy armies, Wood Elves can be fun. Extremely good ranged but somewhat flimsy frontline (Eternal Guards are great for t1 but fall off eventually). Base WE Orion can get unlimited free armies by declaring enough wars, whereas Sisters of Twilight (DLC) can build flying ranged doomstacks

I have most of them, but I'm still positive in slave generation due to all the ports, assassins and Black Arks, and even if I was slowly losing slaves per turn, I would be still gaining them far more due to getting 300+ slaves per battle and having multiple battles per turn. And I wasn't so much looking for advice as just wondering if I missed something or if the mechanic is really poorly conceived as per usual. The old slave system wasn't great because you just funneled all the slaves to a single province to generate you money passively, but at least it didn't penalize you for winning.

The high elf empire sent their main force along with the phoenix king. The dwarfs were fighting the high elves when dwarfs(maybe) didn't even have gunpowder yet, it wasn't in common use within the military at least, and dragon princes still rode on actual dragons.
The dwarfs drove them off the continent, killed the phoenix king and destroyed their greatest strongholds in the old world. The high elf armies were described as "depleted".

It was the all of the manlets vs 3/4 of Ulthuan + all of their Old World colonies (Avelorn, Saphery, Niggarythe and Lothern refused to fight). Niggarythe saw through the deception but Caledor II brushed them aside, High Kang Gotrek also did not believe the emissary and banished him along with all of the elgi ambassadors; Avelorn and the autismos in Saphery did not want to let Chaos win by killing a fellow Ordertide member and Lothern did not go to war because they want to continue doing business with the manlets (the guild families in manlet holds also refused to fight for the same reason and instead gave gold instead to fund the war effort).
Gotrek's kid was an equal retard like Caledor II and fired the first shots and sacked Athel Maraya against his father's wishes. He met his grisly end when Caledor II toyed with him and mangled his body, by killing Gotrek's retard kid Snorri there was no off-ramp to peace. Gotrek's nephew Morgrim personally slew Caledor II's brother who was the main dragon riding commander of the High Elves and instead of mangling his elgi body he let his battered dragon take his body back to Ulthuan.
The elgi also couldn't do shit against full gromril armed and armoured manlets, their arrowspam were just nuisances and its dragons and magic that did the most damage to manlet armies. Standard cavalry were also useless since their spears would just break and couldn't penetrate gromril armour.
There are conflicting accounts on how manlets finally breached Tor Alessi (L'Anguille) but they tried 12 times and lost bigly but in the 13th attempt they broke through or were let through with Caledor II challenging Gotrek Starbreaker and he lost bigly. Both accounts had him begging for mercy before getting hammered and the Phoenix Crown taken.

Dwarfs would attack en masse in a sea of gromril armor and shields, deflecting puny elf arrows
Helfs would cause mass casualties via dragons and using a ton of AoE magic, a single Star dragon could instantly wipe out entire dwarf formations before getting peppered with large bolts
The only arrow shaft that can penetrate gromril is starmetal which was extremely precious and was only used by nobles and commanders
