Option A: There was never a body, Nefarith is coming back at a dramatically suitable moment, complete with her actual backstory and motivations.
Option B: Nefarith is an artifact of when they weren't sure what they wanted to do early in development, kept on because they didn't want to just throw out ALL of the resources they developed for Valley 4 and replace them with something they were happier with; this was just their way of pushing her and the landbreakers out the door to focus on what they're doing next.
I can see arguments for either, desu.

Nefarith is simply fulfilling the prophecy of Ereignis. You hear his voice saying "Finally" when Nefarith turns into her "Conqueror" form and stands before the Endmin. She is probably not dead at all but even if she is, Ereignis will resurrect her as was also prophesized. The Aether fuckery goes much, much deeper than what we know. Ardashir will probably have a similar fate. Their goal is also something much greater than we currently realize and the Endministrator was probably involved in it too before becoming amnesiac.

Can someone show me an example of proper sewage management with the new crucibles? This is more or less what I've tried (imagine the top output and input is sewage) and with or without the splitter self-loop the crucible loses more sewage than I can provide it, so it just produces nothing
What's even more confusing is that I have the same setup on a different double crucible and it inexplicably works without even looping, please help

So overall, how do you guys feel about how they're handling the story characters for the Wiuling arc? Does it feel like they're just trying to sell you a character or not? So far at least, I think the handling of Tangtang and Mi Fu has been very strong. Good story appearances and not forgotten from patch to patch.

Pretty good, honestly. They even remembered Lifeng exists and gave some good story segments to him. It's always hard for a writer to juggle this many characters without either people being left behind and forgotten or the whole story becoming a confusing mess that leaves nobody with any characterization... But HG seems to be rising to the challenge with aplomb.

I've enjoyed it a lot. There is that sense of them trying to sell you on characters, but it's done with enough earnesty that it doesn't feel intrusive or fake. They do still feel like people/characters in the world proper. If anything I wish we could explore their backstories even further, but 3D game and all that, budget wouldn't allow for it. I wouldn't say no to further wordslop additions to their profiles if it came down to it

AK is ranked bizarrely low on combat, character designs and character visuals.
Endfield is ranked too low on music (this last past made wonderful use of it particularly), but I'll give it a pass on the other ratings since it's not really easy to rate any of these things in the first couple of months. We're ranked too high on endgame and community for now, though.
It's a clear error that Endfield is ranked higher than Arknights for character designs, however - that game had a ton of good designs and a lot of variety, while we're... Honestly kind of bland. We need to be, for the sanity of the animators, but in terms of pure design, we've made a number of compromises that AK didn't have to.

it was a step up from the previous patches by a mile, it will only get better from here, i also like how characters in the world mattered, i like how lifeng turns up at a certain point to help out and dapan but only in certain areas where they are in wuling like if you notice da pan he turns up near his restaurant, arcane in the new region because shes defending the outskirts and so on it was very well done and concise, also the build up to the new boss was wonderful too, im very happy with the new patch
