Does anyone have more info on season 2? This was posted in /vg/ the other day and it seemed true enough
>new crusades
>6 new dungeons, timegated normal/hard/master, drops level 140/160/180 gear
>stimen vaults reset, with timegated normal/hard/master
>increased level cap (no info on level)
>tier 9 skill book advancements
sidenote: holy fuck I hope we get more book sources, I'm not going to touch alts if the game expects me to hoard my books for the update
>new zone with 4 new world bosses, 4 elites, 2 mythical creatures
>+10 talent points, every tree expanded
>3 new story imagines
>new banners as usual

You don't have to buy anything but pine timber btw. idk why that nigger wrote to buy all that shit. base soil tart juice are easy as fuck, and enigmite is an okay drop rate but the nodes are all gathered up so it's not so bad. the only things you really should want to buy are rock salt, fine metal sand, and flax(those are the worst drop rates and the thus the last to fill in their gather pools from their respective nodes). not sure if the botany npc sells flax tho, assumig not

gathering limestone is fast, and gives you rock salt
gathering baru ore is fast, and gives you coal + fine metal sand
gathering twigs is fast (there is literally a gathering spot with like 4 nodes on top of each other so you can just stand still and spam F) and gives you resin
gathering wheat is fast, you get the point
artisanry is a cucked life skill so you have to buy it
enigmite is a bitch to farm so you buy it instead of wasting time
rock salt/coal/fine metal sand was farmed earlier but you may be a little short so you buy the remainder
juice and soil is annoying
flax is annoying

>Forest: Verdant Oracle
>Earth: Heavy Guardian
>Wind: Wind Knight
>Lightning: Stormbladeand the future gun class that Artisan-chan uses
>Light: Marksman and Shield Knight
>Darkness:upcoming wand/dagger class that Tribal-chan uses
Based on the consumables, why didn't they make Marksman into a darkness class so that we start with one of everything? They could have given it a chuuni name like Night Hunter or something.

They probably didn't know what classes would end up making it into launch. By the time they knew it was too late to change elements since the NPCs for the weapons were already designed, even if most of them didn't make it into the launch story, anyway. Just poor planning all around, like a lot of things in SR.
Rorola also originally used a scythe, which is probably why the katana class ended up with a random scythe since they had the work done before changing Rorola's class.
>>
>>
>>2023458
>Rorola used a scythe instead of her weird wand/dagger combo
I wonder if they scrapped her original class and shoved it into stormblade then.
Maybe they were behind on developing stormblade's second spec, and the scythe class was even more behind.

roguelike meme mode
it doesn't seem to have a reset, you can just spam it whenever you want to get event currency
the currency can be used for a title, some welfare legendaries if you want to lazily gear an alt, and some materials for future upgrades.

>TwinStriker v2: STR Fire DPS, plays similarly to old TS
>RifleSentry Master, aka why Beat Performer was renamed from Soul Musican: AGI Lightning Healer, has a sentry gimmick that's similar to BP's speakers

>GreatswordRockWrecker: STR Earth DPS, recycles a few enemy moves (look at shadow commander and the greatsword guy in Kanamia)
>RapierSnowFencer: AGI Ice Tank (with whalebait DPS spec)

sadly no. ranged classes can frequently find spots where they can have the camera in a position that doesn't have any spawns outside their range, assuming no one drags one far, which keeps them in place. melee idk, there's probably some spots that lets them, i think some anons were saying looking down can help? it's probably not a bad idea to unlock a healer/ranged dd if you want to afk a lot..

Tried making our own with friends who said they'd okay but not enough committed by day 2 so we hopped a few other guilds until we find one that wasn't retarded. There were some very retarded sweaty guilds that were kicking people for not having certain GS on like day 4. They also insisted that guild hunt was 20 man content despite the menu telling them it's 1-5.

QRD on what changes in master mode for each dungeon, let me know if I missed anything.
>All of them
More mobs to kill and more areas are open; you'll have to path through more of each dungeon
>Goblin
Shield mechanic can't be soloed anymore; multiple players have to bounce the lightning ball
>Tina
Void Sigil explodes atfter 15s (down from 30s)
Void Sigil exploding wipes the party (instead of just the sigil carrier)
Void Sigil Repeat Pass DoT is significantly stronger (can't be casually ignored like on Hard)
More AoEs (increased roots during the instant kill sweep, more pizza slices during clones, etc)
>Tower
Dimension Warp will require the DPS/Healer to CC a green robot to prevent the adds from gaining damage reduction
Final Machine Gun phase targets 3 instead of 2 playersmost groups might skip it with burst like usual
>Kanamia
Soul Marks are more likely to be recast before activating the black hole effect
>Dragon
lol
>Darkmist
More AoEsNot a change, but the final DPS check where the purifying altars are destroyed may be relevant for more parties now

how does master mode 1 compare to the drop rate for normal/hard? same question for master 6.
do we have any numbers on that? if everyone reasonably gets it while grinding for level 60/80 gear then that's good enough for me.

According to multiple sources, nothing changes at all aside from hp/damageas far as I know, but that's why I asked for anons to correct me if I missed anything when checking in-game and outside sources.
The biggest change to Dragon will be that more groups will have to deal with the intended mechanics instead of bursting through them, but that applies to every dungeon.
Even then, Dragon's master mode unlocks a few days after the initial set of Goblin/Tina/Tower and some world bosses dropping 60 gear, so there's a good chance that those phases may get skipped again anyway if people are entering the dungeon with half of their 60 set.

Bros I logged in on Monday and the repetition of it all hit me immediately and I realized I have no fun at all with the dailies anymore; unstable, commissions, cargo, bosses/elites, guild hunts, home commissions, all the events. They're afk mindless spam that you repeat asap and finish in 5minutes, feeling like a soulless sweatshop grind now. The only fun I kinda had was in stimens but even that was kinda simple and you do it just once biweekly.
Needless to say I logged out 5min after realizing this and haven't logged back in since.
Reason for my blog is I still kinda like the idea of the game or something, and want a reason to keep playing. During my break I watched a season of anime, and after that instead of continuing another game or anime, I felt like logging in again, but then remembered the daily ingame wage and am back to square one. I think i had this feeling about ffxiv until i finally stopped for good years ago.
Anyone experience the same? Any tips or revelations about it after sometime? Or should I just drop? The S2 summary didn't look like anything of the gameplay loop was changing.
>>
>>
>>2034257
I wouldn't mind it if it was a "daily" instead and just one (or a few) thing that required paying attention, like a daily 5 floors of stimens or such equivalent. My issue is there's 10 million dailies and because there's so many they're also afk 5minute content each so no one every needs to talk or engage much, let alone most of it being solo. There's never really a reason to talk. Stimens again was the only place people spoke because of the few mechanics involved and everyone is essentially committed to a 30+min session from the length.
But yeah I guess that's a result of being more a mobile gacha.
>>
>>2034268
Yeah it's got a bunch, a few at least you can do more every 3days but that only helps so much. Stimen being one of only a few dailies could be nice desu, hate doing the low floors and it's basically dead content outside the first day of reset and the last day.. I wish games weren't so daily focused but it supposedly helps with swiping so they'll probably never change.
>>
>>2034254
I agree but the saving grace is that there's no real rush to do anything, most dailies stack up over time, you can log in once every 3 days and never miss a thing, and even if you do miss things, the reclaim shop has you covered, the fact the game is so forgiving in this way is why I won't burn out on it like other games that demand you do everything every day.
>>
>>2034277
I realized what made me want to log in was i mine the look of the game and the combat animations (played Vanguard), and Asteria's music plays in my head. I really like Asteria even if it's kinda like a minigolf course.
>>2034302
That shop is definitely good. The daily/weekly is also part of why I stopped. I couldn't log in Sunday for various reasons and missed some weeklies and don't think a reclaim shop will help me cope over it. I saw that being essentially on par with every other week wunner was the only thing motivating me. at this point. I thought it through and realized it's fine in the grand scheme, but that made me see I'm not a big fan of the content in general as previously mentioned. Which makes me sad since I really like the games art/ music direction, panty loss aside.

>they said they will be buffing s1 imagines to be on par with the new s2 ones
I hope so. I'm still farming my Muku
>npc imagines live inside their own world with unique effects so it could be bad if they end up being good
If they powercreep the old ones and don't address the mistake, this might be it for me. As much as I love the game, I have huge aversion to gacha mechanics. Tbh, it's my only issue
>>
>>2035136
From what the leaks were on saints stream, they're kinda whatever. There's a tank one that gives defense and super armor to everyone in a set area. Some dps ones that give an attack speed buff. Another does life leech. One transformation one. All those effects are the active effect it looks like. The passive is supposedly always just main stat boosting like the current ones. No clue about the regular boss ones. They probably power creep at least one current meta pick. They did say they wanted to add ones for the missing substats, so maybe expect a +2000 luck imagine. Maybe a crit rate one if they don't count muku chief as that.

They really didn't do the highlands justice, the lack of grass, low render distance/lod, low resolution textures combined with the lack of fog it used to have, makes the place pretty ugly, lots of visibly repeating textures on the ground which ruins the views from the high points too.

Yeah I know. I saw a lot of CN vids of f2p dissonance just rocking the base purple luck lizardguy and muku scout, but I was hoping to entertain the thought of SGK memes by the time s2 rolls around. The materials are just so hard to get though.
There isn't even anything between whale territory and f2p purple setups either. What am I supposed to use my paltry amount of mats on?
>>
>>2043633
Idk dissonance well. The usual advice I give is get a purple to +5, (scout or the main stat ones), and then work on getting the better of your two bis golds to +3 over time. I know healers and tanks can go a bit more wide than tall for imagines. Getting Tina/Airona to 0-1, and then getting a 0 golden juggernaut, a 0 veno, bl or whatever would probably be a more generalist approach but again, idk dissonance well enough to actually rec shit. I think people overhyped and oversold dissonances damage contribution personally and there's probably a lot of bad info on imagines trying to emulate gigawhales rather than being an effective healer
>>
>>2043641
Do you happen to know anything about Muku King in general? Like if other healing classes use it or if its just a waste due to some reason or another. The passive looks interesting and giving dissonance an on demand heal is appealing to me when I'm not able to hit anything.
>>
>>
>>
>>2044394
After anon said that I looked back again myself and compared golden jugger to muku king and it seems like it's cause jugger 's shield is % HP based while Muku king's shield/heals are all % atk based. At c0 Muku king would only give 413 hp shields and heal 6k with the active at my current stats, which isn't really what I'm looking for in an on demand "oh shit my teammates are dying and I can't hit anything" function. If the shield passive has no cd it might be a good middle ground option though? None of the sites have a cd listed for the passive...
>>
>>2044601
Yeah pretty much. And as your atk scales up, hp will also be scaling. Jugg is just a better option for the active. Iirc the muku passive is cause the shields didn't individually expire. They reset the duration with each application meaning it's pretty hard to get any damage out of the thing
>>
>>2044784
Damn that's super shit then. The only thing stopping me from crafting Jugg is that the passive does next to nothing for dissonance, because our only shield is attached to our ult and it's sort of dogshit.
Also send help, I was thinking of switching to concerto in despair and SGK dropped his will...is it a sign?
>>
>>
File: maybe.jpg (54.2 KB)
54.2 KB JPG
>>2045180
Probably. Veno and BL are definitely better choices to slowly build into. If there was a really good ranged heal active imagine with a relevant passive I would've jumped on that in a heartbeat since I feel like that's dissonance's weak point. I took a look at S2 imagines and none of them seem good for dissonance either. There's one that's the gold version of Shadow Captain which might be interesting, but I'm not quite sure what Resonance skill is? I know SGK has this in their max copy passive.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2047944
no. every class is good, especially since you should have your 4 piece raid set now
the only specs you could make an argument for being troll picks were classes with huge qol gated behind their raid sets
one of the most obvious examples of this is lifebind oracle being mostly raid-focused with very little benefit over smite for 5 man dungeon parties, until you get the raid set making every lifebind overheal shit out a 30% hp shield which significantly enhances lifebind's dungeon utility in things like master 5

Is there a way to move things on an X/Y coordinate?
The XYZ graphs are given solely for the rotation values, but I don't see anything to fine tune x-y coordinates specifically.
The 'tune' button in the bottom right corner changes it relative to the camera which makes it completely and utterly useless for actually fine tuning anything because the camera changes the y and z coordinate inputs when you simply want to change X.
I'm going to explode. Please tell me I'm missing something.
>>
>>2048574
if you mean on a precise level, no there is not. all you have is precise Z height movement for now.
they're apparently improving it in season 2.

Is there anything I can add to the steps below or above to create some additional steps so that I can raise the top floor a bit so any partitions I use below won't clip through the top floor?

>get around to trying the game
>10h according to steam
This UI is so fucking ass. All these currencies and their random associated things are also a pain to keep track of. Does the combat get more interesting at higher levels? Right now, it's a snoozefest.
>>
>>2053434
you don't even really unlock your full kit until midway through your spec choice and depending on your class choice it is probably extremely boring now and plays entirely different from max level. all that said, it can still be boring for some specs anyways depending on how many action games you've played before in a similar vein. a lot of times its like hitting a training dummy in terms of combat but there are other times where the mechanics are forcing you to play a certain way and work around it. there are also some pretty straight up garbage mechanics that are boring or poorly designed and implemented too though. the game is a mixed bag in my opinion.
the first few days of adjusting to the UI and what needs to be done is the worst onboarding I've seen in a video game in a very long time so I do not blame anyone for dropping it. the end game ranges from pretty mid to sometimes fun so I can see why people arn't recommending others to sit through for it either.
>>
>>2053475
Running shield knight atm but nothing is really a threat unless it goes into 1shot territory which seems kinda dumb. Guess gotta give it more time but it's hard to go through with how shit the UI/UX is and I've played games where the learning curve feels like a cliff.

as a dps, tanks from the outside seem like a braindead class where your sole purpose is gathering mobs and taking tankbusters. the one shots don't stop, they just get more predictable (debatable) as they're loaded into certain mobs or attacks at higher difficulties. I don't know how they play rotation wise but tanks love to think they are better than dps (shield knights) so there should be some complexity somewhere in there. you tend to be there to run the show though because random mobs will just delete anything but tanks later on in an instant.

just want to save a headache for anyone planning on doing this now: the pkg file is no longer 39, its now 40, and the unity3d file is 113 instead of 99. this may change again in future updates, so if you are interested in doing this, redeem now and don't procrastinate like i did.

That's impeccably annoying considering how much promise the housing features seem to have. It's one of the better ones I've seen but tiny little stuff like this really does put a damper on things. If theres one qol besides the hilarious UI that seems to be a reoccuring theme here, It's just fine tuning x/y coordinates for placement.

>anon jumping into the most p2w game ever known to history made by the infamous perpetual liar gooking
>worse, anon is jumping into a mental game region that has rampant p2w and rmt, enough to shock all russians into disbelief, begging for the answer to how can there be so many individuals who willingly exchange their lifetime savings for virtual power boost packs not knowing that they are under cover agents of the game devs' doing their job of promoting topping up

That's never happening and we all know it. When we're younger, things are new and exciting. The unknown, a desire to explore, adventure awaits. Then you experience it and have an idea of how things work. Once you have that, the next mmo will feel somewhat familiar. More so with the next one. And even more with the after. And so on.
There's a reason they say variety is the spice of life.

no one has even played it yet lol
and it's free, I have nostalgia for aion 1 and I wanted to try the CC and play for a bit, the client is in complete english too which is cool but also lame we have to wait half a year for our version I'm guessing ours will have major changes with monetization.
>>
>>2065414
Just keep in mind that gooks unironically love p2w because they have the mindset of "I work hard irl so why shouldn't I get advantages in a game?" Not sure how western gamers view p2w nowadays but last I checked, it's frowned upon

I'm hoping to get my master seal to 2k this week, so I can get that badge and the phantom devourer title. I've got the gear but it's frustrating find a group that isn't some half-dps guy hoping to get carried- or worse, two of them.
Right now, mythic 5 is way way harder than it should be, because the event that rewards you for 2000 master score also massively buffs the mobs in there. That ends midnight when Monday starts, and higher master modes open up.
What will the other modes be like? My guess is a smooth progression to reward high master score and pushing higher things, but the playerbase will be way more spread out over the master levels.
>>
>>
>>2068441
The huge gap between 4 and 5 is temporary. If you look at the event that ends at the end of the week, it explicitly states that it heavily increases the difficulty of master 5. When that event is over, master 5 goes back to normal- and we've never seen it normal (the event, which makes it much harder, started the same moment master 5 unlocked), so it's gonna be a lot easier for sure.

Aion 2 plays like a traditional mmorpg, it's actually amazing and threw me off guard.
It's always the games I wrote off early that surprise and hook me, I thought it would have been a sovlless cash grab but its actually REALLY good.
I just wish it didn't have mobile tacked on, it does so many things right but mobile brings it down a bit.
Basically what consoles do to games like rockstar games and souls games just hold it back from its full potential.

Man I am so fucking torn on some RPG mechanics in multiplayer games bro. It's so common for it to just be a pitfall trap for normies to fall in where they half as much just because they "built wrong". And most times it's not even them picking fun over raw power because so many games just make these choices things like "generically do +30%" right next a "do +2% more on Tuesdays when indoors during odd months". Like there's no actual interaction on the players gameplay it's all just stat shittery. Fuck man this is why I didn't like pathfinder ttrpg either.
>>
>>
>>2073042
So you barely played.
You can unlock tons of space with kinah and kinah is absurdly easy to get from mobs.
Actually play the game for longer than 30 minutes next time.
Before you argue back show me a screenshot of your unlocked spaces so I can laugh at you really fast.
>>
>>2073066
I did barely play. You're right. If I see all the warning signs of another kmmo that invented problems it sells solutions with a fucking insane subscription shit too, I'm gonna instantly drop it. Games like that ONLY get worse with time as players leave and the ones that stay have to shoulder more and more of the bullshit.
>>
>>2073078
Yeah but you're lying and spreading misinfo, bag space works exactly like aion 1 and you can unlock plenty as you level with normal gold off mobs.
I'm pure f2p playing with bad ping and I have 1mil + kinah and have unlocked 100 inventory slots + another 300 in my bank, I'm not even close to running out of space and I gather everything.
>>
>>2073105
I'm sure it's "fine" as an f2p. But if I see shit I don't like, if my pattern matching orangutan brain picks up on something that doesn't smell right, I just won't play. There's enough other games and other hobbies out there to fill my time.

I'm a Skyward Wind Knight, I have Galeform and Instant Edge at level 6, and my other skills at level 3. Is this good enough to start dumping books into an alt class or does it make a significant difference in damage if I get the rest of my skills to level 6?
>>
>>
>>
>>2078329
No problem. Just remember that the game is entering comfymode.
Books are staying capped at T6 for Season 2, so it'll eventually become a non-issue if you want to T6 all of your meaningful skills. You might even be able to get both your main and your alt to a reasonable level before it drops; we still have a few months after all.

The answer I see over and over again is that the upgrade is worth it but not for this week- that the reforge stones are better spent elsewhere. I really would like to know why that's true because the ATK type stat seems like it's a big deal.

apart from the forum listed, they mainly shitpost in telegram and line like closed chinese groups
>Is it baidu? I've been looking through bili for info
content creators cover everything but good luck with the video quality
>but if there's a text site like a wiki I can just read I'd prefer that
any wiki they do is usually official and login gated like a sort of mynintendo and other than that tabloids by garbage aggregators

Thank you! I have an ancient bili account due to AK so the video quality is fine. I've been looking through CC videos and their comment section mostly for information but sometimes they use nicknames/slang to refer to things which messes up the mtl, like how I keep seeing Brother Feng pop up and I'm assuming that's SGK but that could also be GK?

While I'm here since vg is unusable: Is there a full summary of all the s2 changes available anywhere? I know at launch we were given the CN balance patch early so there's a chance we may receive later s2 patches earlier... Anything in s1 to prep beforehand? Do I hold off on investing in imagines? Can I keep upgrading refinement levels? If you hold onto star chests will they have upgraded contents etc. Anything in the meowlux shop going away? Mooniebrosisters are any of the new s2 imagines looking good? And any word on a new class yet? And does anyone want to play jonga with me in s2??? Any answers appreciated happy early new years vm

Yeah, it's been a very common complaint. Out of 7 friends, I had to handhold 5 of my friends with learning the systems in CBT/at launch. One was able to get everything himself but he and I are the resident RPG/MMO/Gacha autists. One learned via content creators, and was the only one to fully drop the game.
>>
>>2188413
Here's how it's going
>start game
>make character(doesn't tell you anything about the classes)
>30 minutes of talking
>Get lvl 60 instantly somehow with a full set of gear (doesn't teach you anything about gear rarity nor stats so you don't know if this gear is good)
>Don't have any direction in the game
>makes you fight a pinata (doesn't teach you anything about combat, doesn't give you a basic class specific tutorial)
>get a hundred menus and systems instantly dumped on you
>open shop(doesn't tell you anything, still don't know if cosmetics are account wide or not)
>have no idea what to do, so follow the quest trail
>Makes me fight lvl 1 cows as a lvl 60
And then I just closed the game.
>>
>>2188520
I mean yeah those are the complaints everyone had for s1. I'm not gonna say it gets better. You just get used to it or leave. The onboarding process for MMOs are usually pretty fucking bad, this game is extraordinarily so.
>>
>>2188529
>Mmo are le bad
Wow has excellent onboarding back in 2005, and these days it has class specific tutorials to teach you basic gameplay
>Log in
>Hail traveler, go kill some plain striders
>You have 1 skill, with a clear description of what it does
>Slowly gain more skills as you level, giving you time to learn
Here
>instantly get full skill set
>description is an incomprehensible mess of nonsense
>auto attack to gain stacks of bazinga bonga (doesn't show where the tracker for this is)
>When at 69 stacks of bazinga bonga your gabbagool stool does deals more damage based on the amount of thunda bunda marks (doesn't explain or show the tracker for them)
And the dodge seems unresponsive
>>

Classic MMOs were different, and could reasonably expect players to read, and take their time. MMOs for the last decade and a half haven't had that luxury. They're targeting the marginal user who can't read, and wouldn't even if he was able, and will quit from boredom due to fried dopamine receptors if they have 5 seconds of no red badge on menus or pop ups saying they got some reward. Not MMOs, but go look at /v/ threads about Morrowind and the "bro this gameplay is fire!!!" shit. The userbase changed and so MMOs changed with them. Neither for the better, in my opinion.
>>
>>2188858
>it's the players fault
Players aren't the ones writing these nonsense tooltips full of made up Chong Ching words.
It's the exact same problem all stinky chinky games have, like genshit and zeezeezee
The only good Chinese game with proper tooltips I've seen so far is Stella Sora. It has the incomprehensible nonsense terms in the toolip but then also adds "(this is X skill) next to them
Most of these low IQ Devs seem to forget that understanding is more important than flavor text
>>
>>2188864
Chink games I think still have a loooong way to go for really connecting with English speaking gamers. There's that tooltip shit in nearly every gacha game now, and I can only imagine it's because their domestic players WANT that. Mind boggling imo but chink gamers are weird ass dudes who screech when shit isn't exactly copy paste like other games they play so fuck, maybe it's them and not the devs.
Honestly I rarely see flavor text in these games. It's just overly complicated rpg mechanics with stacks, buffs and that shit that takes 20 paragraphs to explain "press button 1 until button 2 lights up"

The ticket shop feels really underutilized. You would think that they would at least have every SR gacha pull in there for 1 ticket. It can easily take more pulls to get a specific item (like the pixel glasses) than to get the main banner pull because of the pity.
