Arc Raiders sucks so fucking bad that I decided to replay DnD and is actually way better. Arc Raiders is overhyped to fucking hell. You know how I know? Majority of players in Arc are all whining about PvP in a PvP game because of aggression-based matchmaking. These are the same people who mindlessly fell for the hype and want the game to coddle to them and not respecting the PvP aspects. Looking back at DnD, it's so much fucking better. So reinstall this game and support it. PLEASE. Arc Raiders is FUCKING SHIT!! I know because I put in 91 hours into that piece of shit game.

Dead game. I got back into grinding the missions for whatever autistic reason and it's insane how empty the servers feel. (EU) prime time has few sweats trying to sweep empty lobbies but outside those times it's like playing a single player game.
I still think the water map is pretty cool. Maybe DaD2 should be a marine ecosystem simulator.

I have a lot of hours into dark and darker. Every game has PVEggers whining and crying the game needs to be easier. Thats why Ironmace added the pve only mode and tanked the playerbase

With the new season incoming next Friday, I'm of the opinion that they need to seriously consider making the different modes specialized in a way that they are accessible for newbies but also promote a feeling of natural progression as you get better at the game.
Adventure mode should remain as it is, with the same rarity and loot caps.
Normal mode gets deleted. It's dead already, and adventure mode has effectively taken it over entirely. This is why people feel pvp is dead too.
HR Adventure gets deleted. It's stupid, doesn't fit and is underplayed as it is.
HR PVP is the new top tier end game. Remove the circle as they're talking about (again), and then raise difficulties on the pve content etc. This should be the premier and top mode. Everything should be balanced around it etc.
Squire to Riches can remain the same, including keeping the circle. It is a unique mode and it feels like the classic early betas.
Ranked Arena runs Friday thru Sunday as it does now. (With whatever rules devs decide/settle on)
Unranked Arena added Monday thru Thursday with common gear only.
Would offer a chance to player to practice and would offer a lot of balance info for classes without gear skewing the data.
I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on this and that's fine, but that's just my thoughts. I feel a pve mode is critical to the long term health, but not at the expense of HR.
Squire to riches offers a simple and low gear fear pvp mode to casuals.
Adventure offers a fair path to unlocking Arena gear on the weekends.
Unranked arena offers casual testing and learning during the week.
And HR is the end game experience and it's what they balance for etc.
I think this could also offer a final balancing of the queues they all seem so endlessly concerned about.

Why the fuck should anyone ever risk their gear in a pvp dungeon when lagging niggers get the advantage?
I enjoy arena because I don't risk anything to some trash lagging faggot, just a little time, but fuck giving someone my good gear because they can't be assed to wire their fucking PC to the modem and slum with wifi.

CORE: All maps will be 7x7, 3 floors. No new classes/spells. Circle removed. Headshot dmg reverted. Modifiers removed: All Att, +Max HP, True Dmg, +MoveSpeed. New secret loot spots added.
PROGRESSION: HR PvE removed. Map/HR access locked behind ranks (Wanderer 1 for HR). GC gets 2nd level + Fire Colossus boss in Hell. New Volcano lava map.
GOBLIN RECOVERY: Now in all modes. Level goblin affinity for % chance to get some loot back (up to 100%). Void deaths = 100% loss. Goal is item inflation & softer setbacks.
BALANCE PHILOSOPHY: "Trying to remove skill expression" from movement tech (jump to offset slow, etc.). "Ratting" play stays. New balance team. Season start balance will be "crazy." Every weapon gets Block/Parry.
CLASS NERFS:
· Druid: No instant shapeshift.
· Sorc: No instant cast (Time Distortion).
· Warlock: Torture Mastery dead. Can't heal past recoverable HP.
· Barb: Whirlwind 1st person. Can throw any weapon.
· Wizard: Keeps instacast.
CLASS REWORK ORDER: Fighter & Barb > Rogue & Ranger > Wizard & Bard.
ARENA: No SSF. Purple cap. No sub-boss. 3-stack queue considered. May raise MMR to force solo queue at high rank.
MISC: "Reds" not fixed (under discussion). Achillies Lantern bug not addressed. Dwarf skin has small power bonus.

Apparently the code is spaghetti and they said it'll take a year to fix.
Insanity. This is why the game dies.
The 2k+ hour players are stuck, they can't leave. Sunk cost fallacy.
But this shit will absolutely prevent new players from ever giving the game a chance after they die a few times to pvp lag... And I don't blame them if they quit.

Wizard is dead with the removal of true magic damage, they already altered so many spells to balance around that. I doubt they adjusted values of ALL spells to compensate but at least spell pen wont be a useless stat anymore.

An actual marketing push. Think about it, no one knows of this game, but everyone knows what Arc is.
Arc ads were spammed on YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram pre launch.
Highguard was advertised/announced at the end of the game awards (or whatever the fuck it was).
Dark and Darker on the other hand has been pretty under the radar and not really advertised.
They were on the IM client for years, dealt with the lawsuits and even tho finally on steam for a while, they're still just only now out of the lawsuit and this is the first season since the S.Korean supreme Court ruled they didn't notably steal or infringe on Nexon.
So I think they should do as they're doing, fix core issues like movement, combat, balance. Keep working on this stuff for another couple seasons and then when ready to launch out of early access do a massive marketing push before launch.

I don't think it's copium to think now that they're free from the lawsuit that they'll be able to finally work on the game properly again.
I really just think they're finally making the right changes by focusing on fundamentals.
My only real gripe is the locking of maps behind a grind now. It's not the worst thing ever, but it just feels arbitrary and I don't like arbitrary (esp since they said they're trying it because they saw Arc Raiders did it)

Druid got completely deleted from any level of viability. I haven't seen a single one and I probably won't the entire season, it's that bad.

Get off youtube and play the game yourself. Druid's base stats have been absurdly low for many patches now. They keep getting stat nerfs because of the streamers complaining about bear form. The differences in the classes should be weapon choices and perks and skills, not substantial stat differences.
Thanks to the streamers, ironmace has nerfed the base stats of druids multiple times to balance panther and bear. Druid is well below average, either bear or panther form is required to use to be viable on druid.
Play as a druid with whatever armor and weapon you want, dont shapeshift and try fighting any other class in melee and tell me the class is overpowered.

Atleast clerics get 2 skills they can use
Druids get either a spell wheel or shapeshift wheel. Shapeshift mastery and Lifebloom Aura prevent you from using the other, and all they have for skills is the two memory wheels.

Ranger and Rogue, I havent heard cleric getting anything other than the last promise that ALL introductory classes would get new spells at the launch of S8 (Which turned into barb and fighter only)

I miss playtest 2 of Dark and Darker so much. I wish they would ignore the pveggers and babies and force Squires to Riches (Trios only) being the only game mode (at least for normals). Even as a solo player, the game isnt the same at all in solo lobbies. I sprint to other player spawns now to kill them, its not at all the same game as it used to be. If i was forced into fighting possibly 1vs2's or 1vs3's I would move more cautiously. Hell, i dont even like playing with my newb friends because then i have to 1vs2 or 1vs3 if they're new. Its actively hurting me to play with them. It should be a benefit to have more in your group.
