You're right that getting diamond isn't anything special now, but winning is still a fair achievement. Nothing will ever approach the peak apex ranked competitiveness of s12-13, but the matchmaking is also far looser. Back then you wouldn't see preds until masters or D2. Now it regularly throws diamonds in pred lobbies and gives you plat randoms to boot if you're soloQ.

Diamond is the most miserable rank by far. I'm not sure what they could do to fix that, because you could say most people shouldn't get to diamond, but then that'd make pred and masters Qs impossibly long. The simple fact is that the people good at the game have gotten so much better than the average that the distribution is too lopsided, on top of the player base being much smaller, and then you throw in all the cheating and mnk basically abandoning the game.

Even hiswattson talks about how unfair it is and how he even struggles in soloQ. Of course then he constantly 3 stacks with other top preds, so...

Damn i realize i have become the exact kind of teammate i used to hate. Just reached a point where i cba playing for wins in the last couple circles because of all the PTSD when i used to have completely shit movement/aim and got assistcucked constantly (while still not even placing that high)
For some reason i don't play as brainless and aggressive in the meme modes.

That being said i picked up p20s in the fourth or final ring and jumped on top of this duo, trolled them with fences from above and lasered them which was pretty funny, but then afterwards some other duo comes out of nowhere when i'm swinging around (there were like 4/5 squads left and it did seem like most of the squads were over on the other side of the circle) and i panic and end up in a hole of sorts, get aped and die.

There was at least two extremely blatant cheaters I saw repeatedly in duos on EU for a couple of days now.
No idea why they would play duos as cheaters, I even had them on my team.

My biggest problem in the game is playing against premade teams. It's such a huge advantage over randoms, and there's virtually nothing you can do. They'll shred your teammates in the blink of an eye and then what? You miraculously 1v3 them? You just start running and hope they get bored of chasing you by the time you get to a replicator? It just feels futile

That's because it is futile at a certain point. Even a team of pred randoms isn't going to beat off a really well coordinated squad. Just look at watos dying to diamond teams in the early game in the last few streams since the matchmaking was tightened up. But I mean, would you want a game where the coordinated team didn't have an advantage? That'd be artificial bullshit.

Only real option is to maintain awareness and play around squads best as possible. The recon class helps here.

Idk i played on 21 inch for YEARS and then only moved up to something a little over 24 inch.
27 is usually the max for 1080p. As far as FPS goes, it probably depends on your own personal preference and what input/aim style you have

Anyways, just had a really good game in D3. Immediately after get put in a pred lobby with 8 pred teams and 6 master teams. Immediately ALT + F4'd like I always do, I'm done for the night. They could literally just reduce your points lost by half and have you not lose your top 5 streak if you die to a pred team, but Respawn are so retarded they can't implement a simple RP compensation when you're forced to backfill.
