As I am typing this Global currently does not have a confirmed date for end of service. For all we know the Global server could be ending alongside the Japanese server on February 20th next year or they might keep the server up until the 3rd anniversary we just don’t know. In my opinion if there are any characters you’re interested in then try to keep enough tickets and beads for a spark just in case. Again this is my opinion I would suggest asking or looking around to see what others say/do so you can make an informed decision that works best for you so you won’t have any regrets.

Alright in case anyones curious the new characters are okay here’s a basic rundown.

Hildegarde is for coffin but dark is dominated by Multiball but can work if you like coffin teams.

Weihu is a skill and attack ramper but if you have all the parts of Fire skill damage then you’re set.

Karina is a tank increasing water resistance and has 100% starting gauge but I don’t think she’s used in anything.

And Returning Characters

Desert Denah

She’s core for dark multiball if you want her now is the time.

Desert Sonya

She’s good for wind combo flip like with other combo flip characters her abilities take bit to ramp up but having 340% power flip damage with her second board maxed out is nothing to scoff at. She works well as a sub/unison for Summer Leon or White Day Shcult.

Swap Marianne out for desert Denah. And if you want an overall better MBSD team take Malviola out for say Volgia. Malviola’s skill ramping is too slow when most co-op battles are over in less than a minute plus iirc most multi balls can’t be healed. Volgia lowers enemies dark resistance which is helpful. Also swap Tae for New years Belsidia or Karyl as another source of skill damage if you have them because iirc multi ball abilities cap out when three multi balls are on the field so it’s not beneficial to have any more especially since unlike the Couette’s, DDenah and Ryichi she doesn’t deal damage with her skill when her multi ball is on the field. That’s my thoughts but I will say play with your favorites in most cases you can still use them and make it work but things might be more difficult.

Honestly Wafuri's biggest failing is the bloated cast imo

I guarantee you could knock off at least 1/4 the playable characters to no real effect and we'd have room for alts/more alts of more liked characters. The multiplayer ones for Adv and Godly should be recommending Water SD but the Godly+ CSB is a bitch to clear with the S+ par time since you need to clear a 10x Level 3 PF trial at the start, and Water PF cannot do this reliably. Fire combo reduction PF (CRPF) is able to get the combo requirement for a Level 3 PF to around 19-20 and can also spawn multiballs that increase combo count, both of which makes clearing this trial a lot easier.

People from earlier threads were saying that Fire CRPF is so busted that it can clear off-element content it has no business doing, and this is one of those examples.

I noticed they changed the Kaleidoscope elemental training item ”daily quests”. Does anyone know what’s actually different about it? I tried them and they kinda feel the same as before.

To be honest, it's not the guide maker's fault. That's what happens when we don't get the banners that ran concurrently with this Haniwa. We are in the era where the units from the banners end up gating the content that we receive alongside them, and thus have to settle with copium alternatives. We were supposed to have Summer Shouta from the Summer banner for the SD Hani and Silence Suzuka from the Uma Musume banner for this Haniwa for the DA Hani but due to the EoS announcement, a few events like the Combat Divers were skipped causing the Haniwa to be pushed forward. Without these units available, run times end up being longer and thus require healing to survive the Haniwa's attacks. Wind in particular has a shortage of good healers outside of Phiria and Kugui so they end up being split across the teams with no real replacements.

I believe the banner/event schedule should be fixed midway through the Dark Spiritbeast event, where we get Summer Zantetsu midway through the event.

Welt is pretty chuuni and a hand-over from the better Honkai game (pic related). Otto is the best antagonist mihoyo ever wrote and they will never write another guy like him ever again. What mihoyo is nothing more than a shell of its former self. World Flipper makes me realize what my type of ideal game is like. They fixed daily missions as part of the 2.0 update. You basically just burn all your stamina on a mat quest and that’s enough to hit all the requirements to complete your daily. Maybe you need to also send out a material assignment team or craft 1 healing item. Then you can do the weekly Simulated Universe/Echoes of War run which take a bit more time on the weekends. You have like an entire month to do events too so you don’t need to auto grind an event like 100 times.

I don't get the point of all the doomposting in this thread. Yes, the game is shutting down in a couple of months. Yes, you can choose to jump ship or not start the game if you don't think it's worth playing. But don't say that playing the game at this stage is pointless just because you yourself think that. I’ve thought about this a fair bit lately and if World Flipper gets revived as a console game then that would be pretty cool but if they make it another Gacha game I’d have mixed feelings about that. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed World Flipper during it’s first year my enjoyment has slowly declined since then due to a variety of things like power creep, and the game feeling less like pinball and just become swipe left right and up to win. However for me the biggest thing is how events and characters were handled. When you have so many characters it feels like such a waste of potential as well as being lazy when they’re not apart of something. Take the Halloween characters for example the first Halloween characters were part of an event, but then subsequent characters were just added along with a rerun of the Halloween boss. Of course each character has their own character story and while that’s at least something I just feel like it’s not enough especially if new characters are added and then they get an alternate version for an event like anniversary Couette for example. I don’t have her original version so I didn’t care much for her or know what she does since the 2nd anniversary was my first time seeing her. If they added her original version as part of an event that would have been better because more players would get to know her through the event rather than having to summon her.

I’m going to have a little bit of bias and I know I’ve said this before but Yukata Leon and Nephtim should’ve had some kind of event and it was such a waste that they didn’t. I’ve only read up to chapter 10 and I might be misremembering but neither of them have been in the main story aside from Leon’s small background appearance in chapter 9. And Nephtim, has only been in one event, and she wasn’t a main character as she appeared towards the end of it. And I just find that astonishing especially since she was very popular. I know they could’ve worked elements of both their adventurer stories to form some kind of event, focusing on the memories of those who passed on, regrets or having to come with terms that death is inevitable in life. It could’ve focused on Nephtim, having to realize that the people she cares about may not be around the next day, and that could be another step of her slowly, becoming more mature as seen in her adventurer stories, or it could focus on Leon, struggling with the fact that he’s never been at peace because of his lingering regrets and survivors guilt. By the end he could have started to make peace with the past. Something like that could’ve been done but it wasn’t and it feels like such a waste. If World Flipper 2 or whatever does become a thing I feel like it would fall into the same patterns if it were to be another Gacha. It has gotten to the point that I, a returning player don't recognize like, every othee single character that wasn't in the main story because I didn't pull for them and they STILL are making up new characters.

This fucking gacha is the Bleach of "make up new characters whenever you need new content," when we could have had whole events and alts centered around characters people liked but we have everything but the kitchen sink in this gacha.

Truly a less is more, if they ever do World Flipper 2, they need to cut the summonable characters down by half and make the cut half into more alts because what the fuck man.

I caught up with the main story and the events. They definitely tried to incorporate as many characters as possible however some did get more attention than others but it definitely highlights what you said before and what I said in my two college thesis length posts. That there are too many characters and not enough events with preexisting characters. It was neat having the 3 star characters as the last line of defense but if they focused on them in another event/given alts it would have been more impactful.

The Purger event having a story was definitely nice and seeing what everyone else is doing while the main cast is off towards the final battle gives them some attention and it further shows how dire the situation is.

The Distant Succession event was fine but having most of the backstory/context of the Farlands behind character stories is dumb. I knew somethings because of OG Vyron’s story but again if they made small events around the Farlands and related characters it would have been a larger and more interesting event.

So yeah they could have done things differently but I’m still going to play until the end and enjoy any content I can use Leon in. (He deserved better at least his alt art is really pretty.)

I still have a ton of character episodes I haven’t watched yet. Do I need to watch them all before the game dies, or will they still be viewable somewhere afterward?

Alk gets bisected, then fused with the curse/Ogrim, comes back to life
Alk beats the shit out of Nova/Remna, cue literally every other playable character busting into the purger creator's home base using AMarina's ship
The Dragon that Mikoto inadvertently made contact with 10k years ago wakes up
Alk manages to get Nova to admit that he, Nova, specifically doesn't want to die
Everyone beats the shit out of the Origin/End Dragon so it doesn't destroy the universe
They do so, and Alk jumps into the portal left behind, and talks to the remnants of Mikoto and learns the following
-10k years ago, Mikoto made the paradoxial wish of "I want to see a world where I don't exist and my mother is happy"
-This is twofold paradoxial because by WF's rules apparently, you can't see a world you don't exist in, and Mikoto's existence made his mother happy
-The Origin/End Dragon just metaphorically shrugged and created the multiple worlds of WF
Mikoto dissipates, and everyone else goes home
Cue various good end things, and Alk is also both his proper physical age and is both a cook and a traveler
I may have some details wrong, but that's the general gist of it
