The devs have been trying to promote people with good singing voices through this game, and it just so happens that this singer is their first vtuber. Many vtubers have good singing voices, but they usually they don't need such promotion.

The problem is that the singing voice being different from the character voice, which is almost always the case for non-Qlipha witches, creates a very noticeable dissonance. It's like the laments are completely separate from the characters and their thoughts. So while I can still enjoy them as songs, I can't enjoy them as laments. Even worse is when the one voicing them is good at singing (e.g. M・A・O for Eirene), or more rarely, when the singer is also a voice actress (e.g. Yuuka Ueno for Loki), and all I see is that there's absolutely no point to this dissonance. If it must happen, then it should only happen when the one voicing the character isn't that good at singing. Otherwise it's just a waste.
