Anyone figured how much dosh it'd take to max Tom & Jerry WITH their respective wingmen?

You'd have to pull Tom & Jerry 7 times each to amplify them to MAX(all 6 upgrades).

Then you'd have to collect Soda Spray & Mouse Exterminator 7 times each to get them both at MAX(6 total stars)

Assuming god hates you and you only get each limited time asset from the pity pulls(70xpulls from Skward Recruit[21,000 Diamonds], 50xpulls from Honk's Depot[15,000 Diamonds])

147,000 + 105,000 = 252,000 Diamonds required for maxing everything in total


Which means you'd have to buy the most expensive diamond package 18 times for a grand total of $1,799.82 USD

I just used what I assumed to be was maxed wingman as I managed to pull the Peacemaker several times for some reason. Every other wingman I have is baseline or leveled up once lmao

You don't "need" the the superior pilots for any of the areas, but the invincibility frames most of the elite pilots have can trivialize no-hit/perfect run challenges.
Pro-gamer move: you can close the game three times in north-america to reset the wave with a fully restored support-pilot ultimate and reset any damage obtained during the wave present, if you close and open the game BEFORE the wave completes.
A 4th time will cause you to lose the level.

If you're determined to be F2P forever and you plan on playing and being a fan for at least several months, ignoring the limited time pilots and focusing everything on Elsa would be a wise alternative.
She has no invincibility frames but she has insane damage potential against bosses with her ultimate. Also, Charlie her support you'll end up amplify maxing in a few months tops.

Ryan and Elsa will be skyward recruits to further monetize their "path of growths."

I have not 1 but two tips specifically for this game that don't apply to other danmaku games.
1. Position of your finger is very important. You should always find the most comfortable drag area for you. This must be one that won't ever cover any place in the screen that could potentially make you get hit by bullets.
2. DO benefit from the game mechanics. This is contradictive with the first one, but you should benefit from how the character's movement is relative, meaning you can drag anywhere to move it without altering its coordinates. Benefit from this by using multipe fingers when needed or relocate the same one.
Also don't get too greedy with pink bullets, keep a good DPS-carefulness ratio.

I got 2 Wish Cards (one from the T&J levels reward, and another from duplicate card rewards) so after I got my third Rare a week ago, I used them up. Yesterday I got another rare card and bought another Wish Card with stars to keep for future events, but I've farmed as many packs as I could.

As the other guy said, your finger positioning matters BUT
1. Just use a stylus, I don't think it gets more precise than that tbqh.
The optimal way to play this game is on a Phablet/or larger phones you can hold comfortably for hours.

2. Hard focus on your pilot and use your peripheral vision to better dodge bullet hell storms.
Peripheral vision is much more sensitive to motion than focused sight.
^the above works best if you have a good idea of an enemy units' bullet patterns.

Sometimes, just like CupHead, you will be in situations where you lucked out and you're going to get hit no matter what you do.
^these are really rare in this game with the exception of the co-op boss rush and you should know aside from the CP enemy health sponge P2W limiter, the game is very fair(as of this post) with the bullet patterns w/ the exception of a few bosses or mooks(the fucking witch boss)

holy fuck the gacha sucks. the pull chance for S pilots outside of pity is 0.12%. how the fuck do people even pull consecutive tom and jerries?

he shoots three split streams of bullets as his aa on level 1. they're great for clearing shit out without in one hit without having to move your guy and wait for the bullets to catch up. this translates into more damage overall, less projectiles fired the first time by weak enemies. he's the best pilot by far imo.
his stunt hitbox is the same. the pink bullets on him are comparatively mediocre because when he fires that you don't get the diagonal bullets. damage is mid too compared to elsa. I also hate how small the hitbox is for both the S tiers. when mixed reg and pink bullets are flying at you you're probably getting hit because you can't tap back on the pilot fast enough.

I'm not a whale so I'm really not sure if 36,720 is a good time-fueled Tempus Trek score. I was just gunning for 24,000 for all the chests and 4 card packs and 36,720 just sorta happened.

While my Ryan does put work in, it's Elsa & Tom's fuel-freezing ultimates that extended a considerable portion of my run. Every second and every hit taken means a great deal.

tips for the final theme stage (of wonder odyssey event):
go for punching glove and airstrike 1 (black) power-ups
for all three bosses, you can stay pretty close to them if you memorize their attack patterns, just in range for the gloves to do damage, move around when you feel like you can't stay close and grab airstrikes instead
for the final boss (gorilla), you can stand directly in front of him when he's punching, pilot hitboxes are too small for his punches to count as hits, just be careful and remember to move around when he's also moving around the ring
was able to do it with just the punching glove (other power up was the web, which was pretty useless) at 80k power level and 8-9 story stage completed (i'm assuming the difficulty and hp bloat scales with story progression)

i would say a general rule of thumb is if the character and ip could fit in with this artstyle without major changes to the character (so no forced changes to just bearly fit this games artstyle) it could be added
