YES the TV mode should have stayed

It didn't need to completely go away but it was too sluggish and disrupted the flow of the battle segments. Not like the expanded maps are any better, also sluggish and you only visit them once because this game seems to have given up on side commissions

it's an arena battler, it was bound to be boring dogshit just like hi3
what it really needed was non-combat gameplay
i already posted this countless times, but i guess i'll post one more time:
>go back to urban theme, setting, characters, some unique designs like billy/ben/soukaku, slice of life story
>go back to proxy stuff instead of sobstoryslop or chinkslop
>replace arcade minigames with multiplayer bangboo minigames like fall boos, kart boos, boo sus, etc with bangboo customization
>shitloads of cosmetics for all characters, some free and farmable, others paid
>implement coop modes for nearly everything except story and shiyu defense, this will give whales chance to show off their skins and maxed out units
there, this alone will fix everything wrong with the game right now
tv mode can be implemented too, but it will have to reworked to not be so sluggish and boring
my idea for tv mode:
>top down pixel styled game where you control eous and find agents, powerups, perks, items, etc to navigate the hollows
>can also play coop
>significantly faster, can be cleared in about 30 minutes max

Gacha games entire purpose of existence revolves around the idea of pulling the characters you want to play the game with them
Why in hell would I want to pull for characters when the actual gameplay look like this?
The lack of understanding of this very basic principle from both the devs and the fanbase that defends this shit is just mind blowing to me

Honestly, I didn't give a shit about this, it's extremely mediocre, like fucking hell, it's just fucking corridors, you can't even do that?
But I'm a freeloader, so I really didn't have most OP or good looking characters, so I really didn't see the point of that.
On another note, this game, as all hoyotrash, has massive amount of grinding to level your damn character, but not even only that, the grinding is limited so a 3 or 4 times per day, so if you want to level up the stats for several characters to progress the story, you're basically forced to just play 15 minutes per day, do the 4 combats and 4 daily interactions, and that's it, that shit basically killed me from playing the game anymore, and I just know why they do this, to force me into spending money and buy the upgrades with cash.
That alone is much worse than any mediocre gameplay mechanic, but wouldn't expect any better from gacha trash since it's embedded into the genre.

i genuinely don't know how people still put up with this dogshit "gameplay" loop and immense grind
yeah, it's probably exciting at first when the material requirements are very low and you start seeing numbers go up, but after that, it's waiting weeks and months to see your characters built decently to hit the countless dps checks
it's absurd
i'm glad i dropped all waifu slop dps slop visual novel slop games
also
the worst part of zzz is how it's such a downgrade to genshin in terms of gameplay, just like star rail
genshin at least had co op at launch and the elemental reactions were super fun, so you had people pairing up and just exploring the open world together during covid and it was kinda nice
zzz forced players into really shitty and sluggish tv-dungeon-crawler boards with small combat sections in between and non-existent player interaction (if shitty phone tier arcade games even count)
the vision for this project was just bad from the very beginning and the developers were given feedback which they chose to ignore
even fucking hi3 has co op and it was released years ago
