It all depends do you want more damage or sustain? If damage comet if you want healing so you don't die dragon flame or dragon ice for whichever is your highest def/res. Personally I'd say dragon flame/ice only because with comet you'd probably would rather go for skills that help you one shot rather than building DR which suggests you expect in most cases you will be getting retaliated against.

I'd stick to edge scale for the NFU and the guaranteed 10 Flat DR. Pair up has the issue of the DR being situational where if the enemy happens to be both adjacent and not using a brave weapon/effect you will not get the DR from the skill and the extra damage and penalty neutralization isn't worth it alone.

You are absolutely correct pair up 4 does have reduce damage by 10 too. But I still stand on edged scales being better. NFU is far more valuable than all the DR especially since he is building Sothis who has middling bulk so you want to avoid getting doubled/quaded by enemies. Also you don't have to worry about positioning unlike pair up 4 where your backline can sometimes get sniped and now your B skill is outright disabled while edged scales at least allows you to stand alone.

Nah, I hate fighting both Sai and Zasha ever since fire strike+ came out, they deal so much damage in a short time and if you dare use a 2 second dark spell they will swap spaces with you to make sure you eat your own damage. Zasha has that dumbass one-shot build with crow sword and I have to put Flash Sting on most Shadow builds purely for Sai because of his warping spam and I fucking hate it.

I really hope Erma's weapon isn't a crow sword or I will be really pissed off.

Oh shit, I just realized the implications of Dark Tertaedge. Zasha, Erma, and even Sai can now go for auto attack one-shots thanks to their warping EX's in Shadow form.

The reason it didn't work in the past is because Shadows lacked auto attack damage, but now they have it. If you dare warp out of a auto attack than those three can warp in front of you and get the auto kill.

Looks like Shadow fights have gotten more interesting.

Freyja was kinda difficult to take out without a special in the last Seer's snare map since all my units were too slow. I'd have to start over if it weren't for me having one melee(physical) unit able to use the physical only double poison strike skills (assassin strike/execution breath) which allowed me to chip her HP until her kit was disabled otherwise I was dealing 0 damage. Fun map overall but Freyja alone almost checkmated me with her bulk.

It's just a bad game mode. Forging Bonds needed a rework 8 years ago like Tempest Trials got, but IS realized they could charge money for auto start and Forging Bonds is 90% of the use case for auto start.
