It got so bad the devs had to implement a story skip button. Other than that, the character designs are trash (not a subjective statement, they suck, and wuwa is heading in a similar direction unfortunately). The gameplay itself was incredibly simplistic and it boiled down to hitting the correct speed and energy regen threshold and you would never loose, zero decision making during a fight. Also having only 3 things to do during battle is shit, there is no complexity
Not to mention other shit like powercreep, HP inflation, forced use of gimmicks to make you roll for premium teams, 80% of damage potential locked behind C2S1 for EVERY CHARACTER, etc
