I was nuzlocking pearl and caught an intimidate shinx and starly. I was level grinding them for what felt like over an hour when I had to put the 3DS down. when I went back to it: the game was frozen. I really don't feel like doing that againbut I will.eventually

I just beat my pokemon black nuzlocke.
I decided to come back to Black after enough training and finish the game once and for all despite my illness. I beat Cynthia at Undella Town first, then I beat the champion Alder. Cynthia was hard, Alder was easy.
Against Cynthia. First Fat Twat took out her Spiritomb with Flare Blitz in one hit, then her Eelektross with Flare Bitz too, next came her Milotic, Leafy used Leaf Storm but nearly got taken out by Blizzard so Red came out and finished the job with Head Charge, Monty took out Braviary with Rock Slide despite nearly dying to Brave Bird, Daisy took out Lucario with Fly and Aerial Ace and finally Red took forever to beat her Garchomp with Horn Attack and had to deal with Dragon Rush, Earthquake and Stone Edge but finally prevailed and Cynthia was defeated.
Against Alder. Daisy took out his Accelgor with Fly, Fat Twat took out his Bouffalant with Arm Thrust, Monty took out his Druddigon with Earthquake, Fat Twat came out again to take out Vanilluxe and Excavalier and Vanilluxe with Flamethrower and finally Monty dealt with his Volcarona using Rock Slide.
Pokemon Black nuzlocke is over. It was fun but I want to continue with my White 2 nuzlocke.

Togetic is a great counter to Morty, and Gengar stood no chance but that Hypnosis/Dream Eater Haunter still nearly fucked me up. It got Benedict, Preacher and Hi-Five into the red before it finally went down.
Team is pretty good right now, the losses to Whitney have worked themselves out mostly. I might go a bit crazy and do things out of sequence by going to Mahogany first so we can get thief and get a Metal Coat for Preacher. Pryce is also a massive pushover so I might just fight him severely underlevelled to make it more fun, not sure yet. Also tons of water type encounters coming up, so that final slot might on the team might swap (though both Poli's are pretty good too so maybe not).
>>59058894
Cute team, might struggle against Misty though without a grass type.

Here's my progress today now that I'm back to White 2.
I caught a Tranquil, a Marill under the Village Bridge, a Seviper and a Pawniaed all before the big battle against Drayden which I was worried. Because I was ill, I decided to just give rare candies to Emboar especially since Drayden is known for being very tough and I had no ice types.
I take on the gym leader of Opelucid City Drayden. First I had Emboar take out Druddigon with Flamethrower, then I had Skarmory use Spikes and take out Flygon with Fly and finally Emboar came out again to beat Haxorus who already got hit by the Spikes with Flamethrower. The fight was easier.
I plan on using Emboar less now and I'm gonna focus on my other team.

I've been chewing on a new kind of locke for a bit. Don't have a good name for it yet. Probably already exists lmao but whatever.
Only really works in games with PC access wherever. Still doable in other games but gets awkward.
You get one Pokemon Center use when you clear a gym or something comparable if the game doesn't have gyms.
Things that faint are dead until the next pokemon center, no revives.
If the game automatically tops off pokemon that are deposited, then pokemon sent to the PC from the party are "dead", otherwise you can do as you wish. You can shuffle pokemon around freely while in the pokemon center on visits where you can heal, of course, but once you leave.
Still only one encounter per route, along with whatever other terms and conditions you like as far as catching goes.
No in-battle items is more important as a clause, since heal-saccing is too strong.
The intent is that you are constantly calling on the boxed pokemon you are accumulating, and training more things, since a lot of Nuzlockes end up with several boxes of trash pokemon that never get used. The goal here is to get upwards of 30 to 60 pokemon in usage rotation
The downsides are the early game is a bit awkward (I've considered normal Nuzlocke rules up until the first badge as a stopgap), it obviously only really works in the newest official games or romhacks, and kinda needs party exp to not be obnoxious.

Here's what happened tonight.
I caught a Mantyke, an Amoongus and then inside the Giant Chasm, I caught a Sneasel. I also gave a Sun Stone to Petilil and evolved her into a Lilligant.
I beat the gym leader of Humilau City Marlon pretty easily. First Lilligant took out Carracosta with Energy Ball, Giga Drain and Magical Leaf, then Electabuzz took out his fat Wailord with Thunder Punch and Zoroark used the Illision ability to pretend to be Staryu, bait Jellicent into using Ominous Wind which Zoroark resists and take out the Jellicent with Fowl Play. All gym badges collected.
Now that I'm nearing the end of the game. Any advice for Team Plasma, Colress and Ghetsis?

Infinite Rare Candies/repeateable (modded in) trainers who let you kill 6 blissies are so lame during nuzlockes I'm sorry. Ironically it feels more excusable in casual playthroughs, but to me the grinding and trying not to die on random routes/while leveling up is intrinsically part of the NUZLOCKE experience and challenge. So is the tedium, i'ts part of the CHALLENGE! ITS A FUCKING CHALLLENGEEE!!! ITS SUPPOSED TO BE HARD and have many layers of friction that's the point of a fucking hard video game!
Why not just use PKHex and gameshark codes to teleport between gyms if all you want is a spreadsheet simulator boss rush game? Fuck you Coney.
Picrel, one of my favorite Pokemons.

As someone who refuses to use rare candies, I'm a big advocate of "my run, my rules". I think it's fine for other people to play the way they want but I'm not interested in watching content creators spam rare candies off-screen to effortlessly get battle-ready mons with 0 effort or investment. The rare candy debate is only really relevant for "hardcore" nuzlockes anyway, because players don't want to grind to the level cap manually. It also completely changes the nature of the nuzlocke, but that's a whole other story
>>
>>
>>59061503
>"my run, my rules".
Yeah I agree. It's not like the nuzlocke police is going to snap your DS in half or something. Just something that's pretty lame, and if I learn someone abused stuff like that for their 'locke then I respect that playthrough a lot less.
>rare candy debate is only really relevant for "hardcore" nuzlockes anyway
Yeah for the most part I agree, I was just kinda reminded of it because I saw a streamer do a "My first nuzlocke!!!" stream of Pokemon Black, I open the stream and within 5 seconds I see 999x rare candies. For a CASUAL nuzlocke of a vanilla game, like really? shit's stupid.
>>
>>59061538
>For a CASUAL nuzlocke of a vanilla game, like really? shit's stupid.
Couldn't agree more. The casual BW nuzlocke is plenty doable.
>>59061528
Clover cheats with rigged RNG. Be prepared for hax. I cannot recommend the nuzlocke when it's a pain to play even casually because of the cheating AI bullshit.
>>
>>
>>
>>59061660
I already told you: rigged RNG
>you'll find yourself fully paralyzed like 90% of the time but the opponent will never be fully paralyzed.
>if you get hit by a move that flinches: you'll find yourself flinching like 90% of the time but the opponent will never flinch
>if you get hit by a move that can poison or paralyzed: you'll find yourself getting afflicted by the status but if you try to do that to the AI: it won't work in the first 10 turns
need I go on?

I've done some testing, and I don't think this is true.
While RNG for a turn is fixed, RNG for the NEXT turn isn't, so you can play with RNG manipulation on the next turn based on how long this turn takes.
And I never noticed it taking more attempts to RNG abuse through fights than other games.
What MIGHT be the case, and I can't decisively prove this, is similar AI dishonesty to Pokemon Stadium. That being, the AI can see the rns it has, and the outcome of those rns. The AI sees that if it uses Thundsrbolt this turn, it will proc para, and so goes for it, or notices that Fire Blast will miss, so uses a more accurate move, or notices that your attack will miss if it uses Sand Attack, so uses it, leading to the AI having more positive outcomes, and more negative outcomes than average, and seeming unusually lucky. It isn't really, that Thunderbolt has the same paralysis chance as yours, it just KNOWS when its Thunderbolts will. You can actually game this with savestates in Stadium, where if you do something to disrupt the "expected" RNs for a turn, the AI can make "mistakes". Say, the enemy pokemon outspeeds you, sees inflicting paralysis on you, then full paralysis on your pokemon, so clicks Thundedbolt on your Electric resist, but you click Quick Attack, meaning you upset the RN pulls for the turn, making that not happen.
But, the Clover AI clearly doesn't do this as badly as the Stadium AI. The Hard Stadium AI will, for example, never ever click a move that misses unless you alter the RNs, if it can click one that hits instead, while Clover's AI will occasionally miss when it doesn't have to. I can guess at how this actually works, but, this starts getting out of what I've been able to test.

Ghetsis I think should be easier this for you with this team, with Colress at worst you can throw Emboar at most of his team and win due to level difference. You can also get a Water Stone on route 19 with Surf.
>>
>>
>>59062604
look, I don't know the intricacies of the romhack or AI. all I can tell you is that I got "extremely unlucky" every single battle and the AI got "extremely lucky" every single battle. maybe saying that the AI cheats *every* turn is an exaggeration but the shenanigans I've experienced playing that romhack are identical to the ones in the battle facilities of the mainline games (if you know, you know).

Just beaten Team Plasma and finished dealing with them once and for all and hopefully never again.
First I beat the Sage Zinzolin and his fight was easy. Fat Bitch took out both his Cryogonals with Flamethrower and his Weavile with Arm Thrust.
Then came the battle against the Captain Colress. First Fat Bitch used Flamethrower on his Magnegon which survived due to sturdy and used Volt Switch to attack and switch out where Magnezone came out instead. Magnezone was taken out by two Flamethrowers and then Beheeyem came out, I sent out Zoroark who used the Illusion ability to pretend to be Pentagram, Zoroark took out Beheeyem in one Foul Play, then Fat Bitch took out his Klinklang with Flamethrower before Zoroark came out again to take out Metang with Night Slash. Metang thinking it was against Pentagram used Zen Headbutt which did nothing to Zoroark giving Zoroark the clear win and finally Fat Bitch finished off the Magneton who had one HP left with a Flamethrower.
And then finally the big hard battle against the Mastermind of Team Plasma Ghetsis himself. First Zoroark took out his Cofagrigus with Night Slash but Cofagrigus did use Toxic to poison Zoroark and the Illusion didn't work due to Munny, then Metal took out Drapion using multiple Steel Wings as well as boosting it's own defense, Fat Bitch took out Eelektross easily with two Flamethrower but took alot of damage from Acrobatics, Veggie took out Seismitoed with Energy Ball easily and when Toxicroak came out, it did little damage to Metal giving me the opportunity to heal all my pokemon including Fat Bitch. After Toxicroak was taken out by Metals Fly, Fat Bitch came out to face Ghetsiss Hydreigon. It was tough, it used Dragon Rush which did alot of damage which made Fat Bitch flinch but it also missed and when it did, Fat Bitch landed 4 Arm Thrusts and Hydreigon was taken out quicker than expected.
Team Plasma are over.

So many bide deaths that were now in hind sight completely avoidable, if you just stop attacking the Pokemon using bide, it can't really kill you.
I discovered that moves that change stats by one stage are way better than I thought. A common technique for early game fights was leering down an enslaved monster's defense down 3 or 4 stages with Iselda, before having one of use kill them, useful against the Blue4 fight outside of Jubilife City.
I can't imagine how bad a slog this would have been if I didn't enable fast health and exp bars with a mod, it felt like I was grinding too long as it was.
The gym went down pretty easy, I used Momo Nishi to lower the opening Geodude's attack by six stages before switching to Hanami and using Growth (a most likely overkill) six times before one shotting everyone. Massive shout-outs to Hanami for paralyzing the Geodude, before getting hit with 6 rock throws while using growth anyway.

I don't know if a critical hit would've been more or less soul-crushing. Once Poison Point activated, I thought for sure a boosted Venoshock would have killed him, but he managed to take the hit, only succumbing to poison at the end of the turn.
What a bummer. I thought for sure I would be taking him to the Pokémon League.

Sabrina finally gave me a reason to use one of Gen 1’s stupidest glitches.
After beating Koga, I went back and cashed in on a pile of postponed encounters: Oracle the Kadabra on Route 8, Scurry the Rattata on Route 7, Lockjaw the Shellder on Route 17, and a Poliwag in Fuchsia City, which I named Spiral. I also used a walk-through-walls glitch to get Cthulhu the Tentacool from the S.S. Anne and Calypso the Goldeen from Route 14.
My plan for Sabrina was the Fly invulnerability glitch, since she's one of the few gym leaders who gives you enough room to set it up. Spiral would put Abra to sleep, then I’d switch to Talon, one of my Pidgeottos, while Talon was paralyzed. If that didn't work, my backup strategy would have been to boost up a Wrap user and hope Sabrina's Kadabra and Alakazam got stunlocked long enough to win the fight. If Wrap missed and my Wrap user died, my backup-backup strategy would have been to try and fight Sabrina's Pokémon head-on with Prism or my Gyarados.
After a few hours of grinding everyone except Talon to the cap, I realized I’d made a mistake: I still hadn't beaten Giovanni in Silph Co., so the Rocket was blocking Saffron Gym. My team couldn’t afford that extra experience, so I used walk-through-walls again to bypass the Rocket and avoid Silph Co. for now.
The fight itself went exactly to plan. Spiral put Abra to sleep with Hypnosis, and then I switched to Talon, my Pidgeotto. Talon got fully paralyzed during Fly’s first airborne turn. This meant it was now invulnerable, and KO'd each of Sabrina's Pokémon using Toxic.

Jesus. I started with a wealth of options, and then lost them all very rapidly. Polly would have been useful against Mars, everything else would have been useful else where.
My plan for the fight with Mars was simple, use Umma to lower their opening Zubat's attack, then have Kirara use double team to become untouchable, then just chunk the Purugly to death, then Kirara got hit with toxic. This didn't happen as Kirara got poisoned and started dying. I know several of my team got chunked before Momo Nishi was swapped in and poisoned, Mars' elite. Then everyone remembered why they were fighting, and threw themselves in the way of Purugly desperately trying to slow it down and dying tragically and pathetically.
Then I hit the double battle where there was a bug/flying type and an electric type and I just didn't have anything to effectively counter them, so I lost all the other early game monsters. Gust and Spark and pain.
Berries and Grinding. When setting my [completely legitimate Nintendo handheld device] to different dates and times, I was shocked it took several days to grow there mediocre items. Then there was the grinding I had to do, for Eterna Forrest after I lost that one battle. Buttercup, Brassta and Ta Lo had move pools that made grinding a nightmare, and THEN I had an average level of 18, after defeating every trainer, so I had to get four more which took too long. I definitely didn't need to maximize friendship with Buttercup, before the gym so she would evolve into Crobat as soon as possible, I can't imagine spending the time needed to get Ta Lo and Brassta up to snuff without the exp share.
I went into the second Gym Leader completely over prepare, Buttercup one shot Turtwig, two shot Cherrim, getting paralyzed in the process, and one shot Roserade with the help of her hurting herself in confusion.
>>
>>
>>
>>
Natures! Kirara and Utahhime had very good natures, and losing them is a great tragedy. Buttercup is okay, it's not boosting the attack stat I want it too, but Crobat is a frail mixed attacker anyway, so it is what it is. Ta Lo is the final monster that makes for a good sweeper and is getting absolutely raped by that nature.
Stella has a cool nature and Momo Nishi is litteraly nothing, but those are both slower set-up monsters, which I guess fits the theme, but it's not what I think about in a stand out in a single battles game. Momo Nishi is getting cucked by needed to hold HMs, which HMs aren't a limited resource WHY CAN'T I REPLACE HMs WITH HMs game freak, it's not like I could softlcok myself from accidently unlearning an HM when I can just reteach an HM move instantly for free at any time!
I don't really have any thoughts on the other three, other than that Gastlies early move pool sucks. In fact it's odd I don't have a particular attachment to any of my pokemon from this run at all, not yet at least.

They really should have removed it after gen 2 when you got a TM bag and no reason to deposit the HM. Even if they left it in for the real retards, by gen 4 when you don't even have a PC to deposit anything AND unlimited bag AND no way to even remove the HM it was really a poor decision not to make them normal moves.
Oh well, about to take on the crasher wake in my own plat run. Team is Gabite, Gastrodon, Scyther, Houndoom, Rotom and Gardevoir. Should be an ez win with Rotom tbolt and Garde magic leaf. Last run I abused rare candies and didn't have nearly as much money as I do I now with using the vs seeker, feels like gen 3 pickup all over again.

Wake was ez, Gayrados was one shot with tbolt, Floatzel was came out and crunched but Rotom survived and tbolt again killed again. Gardevoir cleaned up the Quagsire with magical leaf. Know I'm going to fumble this at some point so feels good getting the win

Still in it. Here is my humble team of two, right after defeating Burgh. Lv. 18 Rattata was added to the mass grave, dying to Doctor Heath's Sewaddle, of all things.
My encounters, quite frankly, have been shit-tier. Purrloin, Patrat, Lillipup, Elekid, Rattata, Woobat, and Minccino. I want to start building an actual team, with capable Pokémon with good type coverage, but I keep encountering Normal-types with low stats and sparse move-pools.
Route 4 was a wash, but Desert Resort and Relic Castle may yet hold the key to saving this run.
>>
>>
Cyrus was a breeze, Gabite EQ killed Houndoom, my Houndoom survived an Ice Punch and X-Scissor to take out the Weavile and then Rotom cleaned up with Thunderbolt.
Volkner should be an easy sweep with Garchomp and Gastro. Not sure how the E4 will go but things looking decent right now, guess I'll prep after final rival. Probably do the post game shit too since I skipped it in Pearl and Diamond.

Here's what happened yesterday because I forget to post.
I evolved Staryu into Starmie with a Water Stone and I evolved Electabuzz into Electivire with a Electirizer. I then beat my rival Hugh for the last time. Electivire took out his Unfezant and Samurott with Thunderbolt and Emboar used Arm Thrust to deal with Bouffalant and Flare Blitz to deal with Simisage. All his pokemon went down in one hit. Finally one more pokemon was caught, a Throh at Victory Road.
Now any advice for the elite four and champion?

League Barry has claimed a mon in all 3 of my previous Sinnoh runs so I'm not ruling anything out at this point.
Still have a few encounters I can get, Electabuzz and 2 chances for a female Snorunt. Probably won't drop anyone on the team unless I get got on Victory road like my Pearl run. Only down 2 losses this time around, both to Geodude's I thought I could kill before boom haha.

That's Platinum down, lost my Gardevoir to Bertha's Gliscor since I didn't think it would outspeed me. Not sure if +2 Psychic would have killed or not. The rest of the E4 was pretty easy, got a clutch focus blast miss when I swapped my Houndoom back in. For Cynthia I used Nasty Plot twice on the Spiritomb, easily took it out with flamethrower, Milotic was one shot with Dark Pulse, Garchomp outsped and EQ killed Houndoom. Froslass got a free kill then Lucario came in, I swapped to my own Garchomp and one EQ put the dog down. Togekiss popped out and I hit a single Dragon Claw to test the waters before swapping in Rotom with thunderbolt. On Roserade I used confuse ray only to be killed. Froslass once again cleaned up. Gastrodon was mainly emotional support, only used him one time for surf.
Was fun working back up after losing to Cynthia last run. Might check out the post game stuff but more than likely on to Black next time I have the time to play.

I just beat the elite four member Shauntal. First Zoroark used its Illusion ability to pretend to be Emboar to bait Cofagrigus into using Psychic which didn't work against Zoroark who quickly took out Cofagrigus with Night Slash, then Lilligant used Energy Ball on Golurk who countered with Shadow Punch but Lilligant used Giga Drain to get the HP back and take out Golurk, then Starmie took out Chandelure in one Surf and finally Electivire took out Driftblim with one Thunderbolt.
>>
I just best the elite four member Grimsley. First Emboar used Arm Thrust to take out Liepard after dealing with one Fake Out, then Lilligant used Energy Ball on Krookodile, took a Crunch and then used Giga Drain to heal herself as well as kill Krookodile, Skarmory took a Brick Break and took out Scrafty with Fly and finally Bisharp took out Bisharp easily with Arm Thrust.
>>
I just beat the elite four member Caitlin. First Zoroark came out and used Illusion to pretend to be Emboar and then proceeded to take out both Musharna, Reuniclus and Gothitelle with Night Slash while Caitlin kept spamming Psychic, not realising it was Zoroark, though her Musharna did get in a Yawn. Sigyliph was taken out by Electivure using Thunderbolt.
>>
I just beat the elite four member Marshal. First Starmie took out Throh with Psychic, then Skarmory used Fly to evade Mienshao using Hi Jump Kick which caused it to crash and take alot of damage before Fly finished it off, Starmie quickly took out Conkeldurr with Psychic before it could do anything and Skarnory came out one last to take out Sawk with Fly.

I just beat the champion of the Unova Region Iris and it was difficult but I won. First I had Emboar use Arm Thrust on Hydreigon but Surf did alot of damage so I switched out to Starmie to finish Hydreigon off with Ice Beam, then I sent Electivire out against her Lapras who kept using Surf and Ice Beam which did damage but I paralysed Lapras with Thunderwave and then healed both Starmie and Emboar for later fights. Electivire used Thunder to deal heavy damage to Lapras and then finish Lapras off with Discharge. Next Emboar took out Aggron with Arm Thrust easily. For Haxorus, it was difficult and I feared Dragon Rage and Dual Chop but I sent out Skarmory who used Steel Wing and eventually Haxorus was out, next came Druddigon, I simply had Starmie use two Ice Beams and it was out. Finally Skarmory took out Archeops with Steel Wing and the battle against Iris was finally over. I am the champion of the Unova Region.

Black run is on, beat the first gym with a couple tackles and some vine whips. Wanted a Drilbur in Wellspring but got a rock after I ran out of repels with only 2 dust clouds. At least he'll tank some damage in the next gym.
Wanted literally anything in Pinwheel exterior, as I ran through the grass got an Audino. Lost my Rat to a wild and my Cat to a crit rock blast trainer.
Pignite, Herdier, Pansage, Roggenrola, Blitzle and Audino for now.
Black was the game that got me back into pokemon way back in 2011, happy to finally be replaying it again.

In anticipation of the new gen coming next year I started a blind randomizer run of Pokemon infinite fusion. Intense shuffle and Standard rules with one exception, once I have a full party any new additions that are not already fused must immediately be fused into one of my current party mons if possible. I've yet to fuse any abominations in the eyes of gods and man myself but I've encountered several, most notable being a Smeargle fused with a Nincada to become a skittering nightmare known as a Ningle.
Level cap reached and first boss coming up, here's hoping brock doesn't have some sort of legendary Frankenstein reject waiting for me.

Grinding is not hard or fun. If you are dying on random routes you're retarded, and candies wouldn't save you from your inevitable wipe to the easiest fight imaginable if you're so braindead you'd die to a wild encounter while grinding
Part of the fun of a difficult nuzlocke is using the tools you have available to you to solve a puzzle. If those tools are sitting in your box at level 6 because they were useless until now and in order to use it you have to spend 6 hours beating up bidoofs those tools go from being a fun excuse to use something new and instead become dreadful tedium. If you enjoy spending 6 hours beating up bidoofs, all the power to you anon. That doesn't make you any better at the game.

That's just not true. Desert Bus is easy, but you aren't retarded if you lose Desert Bus, because performing really boring menial tasks for hours on end is hard to focus on.

Generally speaking, I'll defend any exploit that simply removes something easy but tedious.
Since you can technically grind against level 3 pidgey for days on end to safely level up, I think rare candies fit this rule. Not to mention that using rare candies means you're not getting EVs.
>>
>>59089932
The same retarded argument that does not work, shut up.
No, nobody is "uh-oh grinding on level 3 pidgeys" for obvious reasons you disingenuous fuck.
Also "not getting EVs" is not making games any more difficult. In fact trivializing death rewards reckless, sacrificial playstyle and flattening experience rates makes late-game powerhouses brainlessly easy to abuse.
"Your game, your rules" but using rare candies still fucking sucks and you are objectively and factually wrong so shut up.

I agree with this. If a "hack" doesn't actually give you can advantage over the person who doesn't use it, then who cares. It's like using an emulator to speed up dialogue boxes, but the corollary is that if (for some insane reason), someone made a ROM hack where you can't gain exp from pokemon way below your level, then rare candies are cheating (because they give a safety advantage compared to the non-rare candy user who has to risk the battles)

I finished White 2s post game.
I caught a Golurk in Dragonspiral Tower and then a Croagunk and finally a Stunfisk in the Moor of Icirrus. I also beat King N for the final time using only Electivire to take down his Reshiram using Thunder Wave to paralys and using Thunder Shock to finish the job.
There is more to do like the Cynthia fight, the tournament in Driftveil City which I can just do in my free time and Pokestar Studios but I'm gonna end it here because I feel like battling N is a great sendoff to the White 2 nuzlocke.
Tomorrow I'm gonna do another nuzlocke and this time, it's X.

Yep and I've finished so tomorrow it's Kalos. I know gen 6 is easy but I hope the game is harder just to make the nuzlocke interesting. Not that I want pokemon to die but it would be good to have different team every now and then instead of being stuck with the same team.

I just began my Pokemon X nuzlocke. My. Journey in Kalos has started. Here's how it started.
So I picked Fennekin as my starter and the first pokemon I caught was a Pidgey. In Santalune Forest, I caught a Pansage which was lame and then afterwards I also caught a Fletchling even though I already have a flying type and a fire type. I got lucky however as I also encountered a Riolu first and caught it.
Against the gym leader of Santalune City Viola, she was easy.
Pidgey took out Surskit with Gust though Surskit used Water Sport before which is why Fennekins Ember didn't do as much damage against Vivillion at first and allowed Vivillion to use Infestation but as soon as the Water Sport ran out, Ember did its job and killed Vivillion.
After that I caught a Budew which I think is neat, Fennekin evolved into Braixen while battling at the restaurant and I picked Squirtle to be my second starter because I already have two grass types and a fire starter so it made the most sense. Finally I caught a Plusle before making it to Camphrier Town.
Any advice for this game is appreciated.

Blaine got cheesed, but it cost me Prism for Giovanni.
I leveled up Typhoon to 36 so I could block Route 21 encounters with a Repel. After that I surfed to Cinnabar Island. In the Pokémon Mansion I caught a Grimer, which I named Oozey. Pokémon Mansion had a Scientist with three Electric-types, which was a problem because my whole team was weak to Electric. Luckily, Cthulhu was able to sweep with Wrap. After that I got the TMs for Blizzard and Solar Beam, the Secret Key, and two Rare Candies.
In the Pokémon Lab, I revived my Helix Fossil into an Omanyte and named it Ammon. I spent some time leveling up Ammon, Prism, and a few of my other Water-types, and then it was time for Blaine.
I opened with Prism thanks to its access to Recover, having taught it Double Team and Substitute. Blaine's opener was Ninetales. After Prism was able to get to +6 evasion with Double Team behind a Substitute, the fight was basically already won. The only real danger was running out of Psychic PP, but that never happened, and Prism swept Ninetales, Rapidash, and Arcanine without much trouble.
Blaine fight video: https://files.catbox.moe/7ec6ua.mp4
I got TM38, Fire Blast, from Blaine. Prism leveled up during the fight, but since beating Blaine didn't raise the cap, I'll have to box it until after Giovanni. Luckily, the same Water-types that I trained up for Blaine will also be good against Giovanni's Ground-types.
>>
>>59101430
There's a couple more trainers after that that could give you trouble later on, but anything else threatening you beyond that probably comes down to your team vs theirs. For Grant, Riolu might be able to knock out Amaura in one hit with Force Palm, and should deal some good damage on Tyrunt before having to swap out. It also resists Rock type moves, so Tyrunt will probably go for Stomp.

Giovanni turned into the dumbest fight in the run.
Originally, I planned to use the same strategy I used in my last Nuzlocke: take down his Dugtrio with a Flying-type, use a Haunter to put Persian to sleep, then sweep with a Water-type. I realized I could do better, though. Since his lead Dugtrio can't hurt Flying-types, it gives me lots of time to fish for Fly invulnerability using paralysis, the same strategy I used against Sabrina. And Talon, the same Pokémon I used for this strategy last time, was still on my team.
Since Talon's Toxic can't hit Giovanni's Nidos, and Take Down would eventually run out of PP or kill Talon with recoil, I had a problem. I found the solution in one of the "junk" TMs sitting in my PC. Rage, normally a terrible idea since it locks the user into a 20 BP attack, but once it locks you in, it stops consuming PP.
Paralyzed Talon, whose moveset was Fly / Take Down / Rage / Toxic, led against Giovanni's Dugtrio. Once it got full paralysis while in the air, the fight was already won. I still needed Toxic for his Persian, since a separate glitch meant that if it used Double Team while I was locked into Rage, I would be trapped in a very long battle indeed.
After Take Down ran dry, Talon slowly chipped through the rest of Giovanni's team with Rage. Rhydon alone took twenty minutes, because Rage was only doing 1 damage per hit.
The fight video is available at https://litter.catbox.moe/hgfqtdled4y2ohsq.mp4 if any of you wanted to see this riveting gameplay.
With Giovanni down, Prism is finally legal again.

It's one of those hurdles of a first-time nuzlocker that you have to learn to get past.
My first 3 runs were abandoned because I lost something important like my starter.
Doing a nuzlocke is hard when you're a sentimental bitch like me.
There are puss-out revival-type rules that some people use. Like max revives found in the wild being treated as a free resurrections.

I fucking... I killed Momo Nishi. SHE'S DEAD! It's all my fault!
-Before that-
I went into the team galactic building and completely sweeped the Galactic members, bloody vengeance for the Valley Wind Works.
The scientist who was swayed to side with them, was able to get confusion (move) off when I switched in Brassta, despite the fact his Kadabra was hit with hypnosis last turn, and was confused by Nobara. I thought Ghost resisted psychic, but it doesn't so confusion was super effective... Brassta took so long to train and she didn't get to do anything.
I believed in Nobara still, it wasn't her fault, she killed Jupiter's Zubat, then made the Skuntank confused and slept. Momo Nishi chipped the Skuntank to death with Rock Smash after that.
I went into the wrong part of Wayward Cave in search of Earthquake and that cost me Stella (and a planned sacrifice pivot, but who cares) who hadn't done anything really noteworthy, but she had that potential to be a top performer in her, what a waste.
The gift Togepi and the gift Eevee were both male so they went into the trash.
I gathered pokemon that aren't currently useful, across the few routes, spent a lot of time planning on how to get Feebas, before realizing that Nobara came from Mt. Coronet and Mt. Coronet is Mt. Coronet, while getting the metal coat. After I evolved Jorma, I learned I lost more than half her speed...
All ghosts have Levitate as an ability or are flying type so, Jorma wasn't useful in the gym, but pretty useful against the route trainers.
By the way the nest ball is sick, and the hate is wrong, and perpetuated by massives.

The Gym battle was pretty exciting, thankfully Fantina's opening Duskull, missed will-o-wisp for it's one turn, it would have crippled me to have Buttercup's attack halved. Mismagius was the real fight, Buttercup and Mismagius confused each-other and Fantina's elite slave handled it worse. Buttercup made Fantina use the berry and the potion to keep Mismagius alive, before I got jumpscared by a psychic type attack. Inexplicably I switched out to Momo Nishi, the first shadow ball chunked Momo Nishi, but I believed that she could not be killed by the next one. I fell out of my chair when the crit rolled in, I don't even know what I was trying to on her turn. Walked around for a while after I won just considering my failure.
"Those who can't sacrifice anything can't change anything" -a character from my favorite cartoon.
I had Circu-Freak in my party SPECIFICALLY to die to allow a safe switch, and for some reason I couldn't even sacrifice that. Also if I didn't have a berry (for a status that Fantina's monsters couldn't even inflict) on Buttercup, Buttercup could have cleared the way to Haunter at least, because thief would have stolen the berry, it's just trainers (including gym leaders) usually don't have held items.
Ta Lo came out and finished the job, biting Mismagius apart, before Haunter attempted to put Ta Lo to sleep, fortunately I chose the right berry this time, and Haunter also got consumed.
ALL OF MY NATURES ARE SHIT NOW.
Every single one is actively detrimental now.
Ta Lo loses their good attack stat to boost their bad attack stat
Jorma (30 speed) loses bulk to boost the wrong attack stat
Joanne loses her primary attack to boost her fortitude from wet tissue paper to dry tissue paper.
Nobara loses some of her good attack to boost her bulk, which is bad but not terrible
Buttercup lost some bulk to boost the wrong attack fortunately she is fast, so it shouldn't matter that much
Fitting that the first evolved monster in the gayard was my starter.

Hey everyone, back from my con and now I'm back doing my Pokemon X nuzlocke. Here's what happened today.
Today I caught a Sandile and Flabebe evolved into Floette but I did take her off the team to make room for the newly caught Sandile.
In Glittering Cave, I caught an Onix and Riolu and Budew evolved into Lucario and Roselia while there which was amazing. I also picked the Jaw fossil and used it to revive a Tyrunt. I caught a Snubbul afterwards.
Then I took on the gym leader of Cyllage City Grant but unfortunately I lost a pokemon. Lucario took out Amaura with one Force Palm instantly, no surprise there. Then I send Sandile against Tyrunt, Sandile used Sand Tomb and Mud Slap which trapped Tyrunt in a sand vortex and lowered it's accuracy but unfortunately Tyrunt usef Rock Tomb which did alot of damage and then a Stomp which unluckily enough landed a crit and killed Sandile, my first casualty this run. Finally Turdle saved the day and took out Tyrunt with Water Gun.
Because I skipped four days, I've got to play X two times a day for atleast four days to catch up.

Picked up a few new team members. I was not graced with a Growlithe nor a backup Ground type. The best I have is Dig with Ekans, who to her credit can evolve soon. Shame she's Shed Skin and not Intimidate but we're about to fight special attackers anyway and Machop can help with the Magnemites. Man, Erika's gonna be rough if my encounters suck THIS much

Here's my progress.
I caught a Hariyama before entering Reflection Cave where I caught a Roggenrola and in the cave, Braixen evolved into Delphox before I could make it to the third gym.
Then I toom the gym leader of Shalour City Korrina and it was too easy though I did have three pokemon effective against fighting types. Pidgeotto took out Mienfoo with Gust, Floette took put Machoke with Fairy Wind and Delphox took out Hawlucha with Psyshock. Afterwards at the Tower of Mastery, i received another Lucario from Korrina but only because I needed the Lucarionite, this one won't be used as I already have my own Lucario.
Finally I receive a Lapras and Pidgeotto evolves into Pidgeot while on my way to Coumarine City.
I'm very tired so goodnight guys.

Back after a long break.
>Vs Blaine
>Magmar
Paimon avoids a Confuse Ray thanks to affection mechanics(I really don't like having them pushed onto me) and sets up Light Screen.
Confuse Ray hits on the second turn, but Paimon Teleports out, letting Aran Ryan in.
Aran gets hit by a Flamethrower but does good damage back with Rock Slide.
However, a Confuse Ray and Aran hitting himself makes me decide to swap out.
I send Eeveelyn in on a Flamethrower, and Light Screen fades.
Bouncy Bubble finishes off Magmar.
>Rapidash
Eeveelyn hits it with Bouncy Bubble, doing around half(a bit more). It hits back pretty hard with Flare Blitz.
Another Bouncy Bubble does.
>Arcanine
Bouncy Bubble does about half again, and Arcanine does nasty damage with Flare Blitz.
Still falls to another Bouncy Bubble.
>Ninetales
Bouncy Bubble does about a third, and Fire Blast puts Eevelyn deep into the yellow.
I swap Paimon in on a Fire Blast.
Paimon takes another Fire Blast while setting up Light Screen, and then another Teleporting out, letting Aran back in.
Ninetales does nasty damage on Aran despite the Screen, but Rock Slide ends the battle.

>Vs Giovanni
>Dugtrio
Dugtrio hits Paimon with an Earthquake, but she sets up Reflect.
Another Earthquake, and Paimon Teleports out, letting Nicholice in.
Another quake as Nicholice sets up a Calm Mind.
One more quake, and then Ice Beam finishes off Dugtrio.
>Nidoking
One Ice Beam does it. Reflect fades.
>Rhydon
Ice Beam.
>Nidoqueen
Ice Beam leaves it alive, to my surprise and worry, but I'm a lucky bastard - it gets frozen solid, and another Ice Beam does the trick

Today Wartortle evolved into a Blastoise so now I can finally mega evolve it and I caught a Slowpoke at Azure Bay and then in the wasteland area, I caught a Dugtrio.
The battle against the gym leader of Coumarine City Ramos was incredibly easy. Delphox took put Jumpluff with Mystical Fire, Pidgeot took out Gogoat with Wing Attack and Delphox took out Weepinbel with Psyshock. All his pokemon where taken out in one hit and they did fuck all.

You can't get metal coat until after E4 in FRLG unless it just removes the item needed and also removes the need for the nat dex since you can't evolve into them in regular game.
Looking at you Golbat that wants to evolve for 20 levels but just can't.
>>
>>59121499
That’s what I thought. The Universal Randomizer just changes item evolutions to level-up, but I wasn’t sure whether the NatDex evolutions themselves would be unlocked too. Either way I picked up an Abra and it’s been fantastic so far

Big progress!
I gambled for 3 hours (thank God for save states) to get 4000 Game Corner points and give Flamethrower to North Carolina. She promptly evolved after that and burnt the Celadon Gym to cinders. We recruited North Dakota, who RIPPED through Team Rocket's Poison types, and New México had a face-off with a Kangaskhan that could've gotten scary, but it didn't (thanks to Kentucky's Intimidate). We picked up a few new friends, and now I'm in Fuchsia. I could go pick up Surf next, but honestly I wonder what to do for Koga since North Dakota alone probably won't cut it.
Alabama has Immunity instead of Thick Fat, so he can prevent any poisoning, but I don't know if the TM for Earthquake is easily accessible right now. Vermont the Gastly is also immune to Poison. Iowa is starting to fall off a bit from the rest of the team so I'm not sure if I should start teambuilding more seriously now

Today I took on two gym leaders.
First Clemont of Lumiouse City. Dugteio took out Emolga using Rock Tomb, then Lucario evolved and used Aura Sphere to take out Heliolisk and then finally Dugtrio eliminated Magneton with Earthpower. Relatively easy.
Next I caught a Quagsire on my way to Laverre City where I would then take on the gym leader Valerie. Due to not having a poison and steel type, this battle was harder but I still won. Delphox took out Mawile in one Mystical Fire but took a while to take out Sylveon and Mr Mime using Mystical Fire, Flamethrower and Psyshock.
Afterwards I caught a Watchog and then a Electride at the Lost Hotel. Things are going well.

I caught a Pumpkaboo, then a Haunter at the Frost Cavern and finally a Sneasel before making it to Anistar City to take on the local gym leader Olympia. The battle was too easy.

I was able to beat both scientists, Aliana, Celosia, Bryony, Mable and Xerosic. At Team Flares Secret HQ, I caught the box art legendary Xerneas and then I beat Lysandre for the final time and defeated Team Flare for good. First I had Pidgeot take out Mienfoo with Fly, then Blastoise took out Pyroar with Surf, then Floette took out Honchkrow with Moonblast and I mega evolved Lucario and took out mega Gyarados with Aura Sphere in one hit.
After dealing with Team Flare, I headed to Couriway Town and on the way, I caught a Durant and then a Ariados in Terminus Cave.
Any advice for the late game?

I don't think there's much left that will give you trouble. There is a trainer with a Sturdy Sawk somewhere near Snowbelle City, and there's the rivals gauntlet and last rival battle. You can find a Shiny Stone on route 12 northeast of the ranch, and Leftovers to the south.
>>
I just beat my first ever pokemon game thanks to a lucky crit…heartgold, I had 2 mons left when Lance switched to his last lvl 49 dragonshite…sacrificed my magneto to max revive that I saved for this fight on my Jynx, then he fucking one shot her with some move I’ve never seen…machoke was my last one left, used my LAST regular revive with no hp pots on jynx after switching and by dumb luck he didn’t decide to use any dragon moves and I got THREE full turns and EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ATTACK MISSED and then he one shot my macho. Back to a half hp jynx I was utterly hopeless…and holy mother of fuckballs the ice punch CRIT and one shot him

Elite 4 time!
>Vs Lorelei
>Dewgong
Valentino puts it to sleep with Sleep Powder, then begins to set up with Quiver Dance. It wakes up once and hits a Waterfall, but is put back to sleep, allowing me to max out the dances.
>Jynx
>Slowbro
Bug Buzz tears through them.
>Cloyster
>Lapras
Mega Drain takes them out.
>Vs Bruno
Valentino replaces Bug Buzz with Psychic
>Onix
Valentino misses the Sleep Powder, and Onix sets up Stealth Rock.
Another Sleep Powder does hit, and while Onix does wake up to use Earthquake, Valentino puts it back to sleep and gets to +4 before using Mega Drain to KO Onix.
>Hitmonlee
>Hitmonchan
>Machamp
All fall to Psychic.
>Poliwrath
Falls to Mega Drain.
>Vs Agatha
Aran Ryan has swapped out Brick Break for Earthquake.
>Arbok
Eeveelyn sets up Reflect, then gets glared, but shakes it off thanks to affection. This actually works against my plan - I want the Arbok not to Glare my switch-in.
I spend the turns until I can set up a new Reflect(and get Glare'd) spamming Sand-Attack.
Eventually, I get what I want.
Darko gets in, taunts the Arbok, and then sets up until it is at +4 SpA.
Dark Pulse takes out Arbok.
>Gengarx2
>Weezing
Dark Pulse knockouts.
>Golbat
Thunderbolt.
>Vs Lance
Valentino swaps Psychic for Sludge Bomb, Aran swaps Earthquake for Ice Punch.
>Seadra
Valentino sets up 6 Dances here, using Sleep Powder to get away with it. Mega Drain heals off more or less all the damage taken.
>Aerodactyl
To my surprise, Mega Drain is not actually strong enough to OHKO even at +6, but I have a lucky moment and Aerodactyl misses a Rock Slide(unlikely to KO I think, but a high roll could have).
Another finishes it off.
>Gyarados
>Charizard
>Dragonite
They all fall to Sludge Bomb

And the Champion!
>Vs Trace
>Mega Pidgeot
It hits Paimon with Air Slash, but she sets up Light Screen.
Quick Attack is met by Thunderbolt, which paralyzes. Trace swaps out Mega-Pidgeot for...
>Vileplume
Which effortlessly soaks the incoming Thunderbolt.
I swap Valentino in on a Reflect.
I then set up to +6 on the Vileplume as it fails to do much with Sludge Bomb.
Once Valentino has set up properly, he knocks it out with Sludge Bomb.
>Rapidash
>MegaPidgeot
Sludge Bomb takes them out.
>Slowbro
>Marowak
They fall to Mega Drain.
>Raichu
One final Sludge Bomb does it.
I'm not stopping until I've beat the Blue, Green and Red post-game fights, though.

Today I received the final gym badge. I'm close to the end of the game.
First in Couriway Town, I beat Professor Sycamore and then I took down all three of the rivals on the bridge, Shauna, Tierno and Trevor, all pretty easily and there is no need to go into how I beat them. Afterwards I caught a Shelmet, Noctowl and a Garbador in Pokemon Village.
In Snowbelle City, I take on the gym leader Wulfric and he is way to easy for a final gym leader. Delphox takes out Abomasnow with Mystical Fire instantly, Lucario mega evolves and takes out Avalugg in one Aura Sphere and finally Delphox returns just to eliminate Cryogonal with Flamethrower. The only damage taken was because Abomasnow summoned Hail. Honestly gen 6 sucks with how easy it is, atleast the game looks pretty. Finally I caught a Ursaring.

Alright finally caught up.
I caught a Fearow at Victory Road as my final encounter and I was able to beat my rival Serena for the last time. First Blastoise took out Meowstic with Bite, then Florges used Moonblast to take out Altaria and Petal Dance to take down Greninja, Blastoise returned to beat Flareon with Surf and finally Lucario mega evolved and used Aura Sphere on Absol. Afterwards I gave a Light Stone to Floette and evolved her into Florges. I finished Victory Road at last.
My final team is Delphox, Pidgeot, Lucario, Blastoise, Florges and Dugtrio. Any advice for the elite four and champion?
>>
>>59128312
Since you have Delphox, it can easily handle Wikstrom's Probopass, even without the level difference, since it only has special moves and Delphox's Mystical Fire lowers special attack. You should be finewith that massive level difference in your favor though.

I just beat the champion of the Kalos region Dianthia and it was incredibly easy aside from two of her pokemon. So first I sent out my very own starter Delphox against her Hawlucha who first used Future Sight and then this was followed by Psychic to take out Hawlucha instantly, then Dugtrio used Earthquake on Tyrantrum which did not kill and Tyrantrum used Crunch which nearly killed Dugtrio but then the Future Sight kicked in and saved the day killing Tyrantrum, next Lucario ome shotted Aurorus with Aura Sphere, no surprise there and then Florges took out Goodra with Moon Blast easily, Pidgeot who hadn't defeated a single elite four pokemon atleast got to kill Gourgeist with Fly and then finally it was time to go up against Dianthas Gardevoir. She mega evolved Gardevour and I mega evolved my Blastoise and used Surf but Thunderbolt did alot of damage and despite wanting to use a mega, it was too risky so I switched out to Florges and slowly took out Gardevoir with Petal Blizzard and the battle was over. I am now the champion of Kalos.

thought up a new challenge run
if you've heard of the "murphy's law" run, this is its opposite
the rules. IF:
- your starter is not shiny
- your starter does not have 31 in both of its attack IVs
- you encounter any random pokemon
- you miss an attack
- your attack does not hit critically
- your opponent's attack does NOT miss or fail
then your run is dead.
it's not meant to be fair, it's not meant to be fun, it's not meant to even be *playable* without tool assist
but i know someone out there will try it anyway

Pokemon X nuzlocke is over. I did the postgame and now there isn't anything else to do. No new encounters. All the pokemon you see are all the pokemon I caught and owned. Six pokemon to the right are my main team and the only pokemon I lost was that one Sandile in the corner down to the right. This nuzlocke was probably the easiest yet as I only lost one pokemon. I really hope Ultra Sun nuzlocke is harder because that's what I'm doing next.

I send in Darko on Psychic for free.
I get a Nasty Plot in while Zam's Dazzling Gleam doesn't hurt too bad... but Light Screen fades, so no more setup.
Dark Pulse takes Zam out.
>Gyarados
Thunderbolt oneshots.
>Exeggutor
Dark Pulse oneshots.
>Aerodactyl
I decide to guess that I can live a hit, and I'm right. Rock Slide puts me close to red, but Thunderbolt oneshots Aerodactyl in return.
>Mega-Charizard
...I can't really safely switch in anything to try and beat it, so I go for the Thunderbolt, maybe it can KO. It puts Zard in the red, but Fire Blast decimates my poor Alolan Persian.
Paimon comes in, takes a Fire Blast, and finishes the fight with Thunderbolt.
Too bad about losing a team member just before the final boss...

Now the question is whether I still include the Persian in the list of "can't use again" or if I add a 6th mon for the Red fight. If so, I'm considering Gyarados, just to make it unavailable as an easy choice elsewhere.

Pokemon Ultra Sun nuzlocke has began. I'm excited because I'm playing a harder and more tougher pokemon game.
The starter I picked was Rowlet and the first pokemon few I would go on to catch are Grubbin, a Wingull at Hau'oli Outskirts, an Alolan Meowth at the Trainer School and finally a Alolan Grimer at Hau'oli City.
I would however go on to lose Meowth in the first battle with Ilima because I needed to sacrifice as Yungoose was to powerful and I nearly lost my own starter Rowlet. Yungoose killed Meowth with Tackle. On the contrary, I don't know if Hau'oli Outskirts and Trainer School are separate areas to route 1 as it says on Serebii that they are the same but on the Nuzlocke update website I'm using, they are both classified as separate areas. Regardless I'm doing it that way because of how hard gen 7 is.
Any advice for the first Totem pokemon?

This is my 18th run, I have encountered 4 shinies previous and Pokerus once. Really not bad odds all things considered, there were 2 in the same game that were first encounters, the one being literally my first encounter of the game. At least if it was male it would be a nice color but alas.

...With how juiced up Master Trainer mons are if you yourself do not use AV candies, I might just go ahead and consider Blue the actual beaten final boss.

Today was a little rougher.
I caught a Furfrou which i did not want but then I also caught a Murkrow at Hau'oli Cemetery which I did want and I've never used Murkrow in a nuzlocke before so I'm really excited.
I then took on the Island trial hosted by Ilima at the Verdant Cavern and I had to be strategic as totem battles are alot tougher than the usual gym battles. I face off against the totem pokemon Gumshoos who summons Yungoose to assist, I sent out Furfrou and proceed to constantly use Growl until both Gumshoos and Yungoose's attack stat is down, then Gumshoos takes out Furfrou with Tackle. A sacrifice worth making as next comes in Rowlet who quickly uses Razor Leaf to take out Yungoose and Gumshoos at once while there attacks do little damage.
After that amazing battle, Rowlet evolves into Dartrix and while in the Verdant Cavern, I catch a Noibat. I also catch a Mankey later as well as a Cottonee at Melemele Meadows and a Zubat at Seaward Cave giving me 5 flying types this early.
I then take on the Island Kahuna of Melemele Island Hala. First I sent out Noibay against his Machop and used Wing Attack but unfortunately Machop used Focus Energy and then a Revenge which did alot of damage and get a crit which killed Noibat. Murkrow came out to avenge Noibat and finish off Machop with Wing Attack and also kill Makuhita with Wing Attack and finally Wingull also used awing Attack to beat Crabrawler. After that hard fight, I also caught a Psyduck at Ten Carat Hill and made my way to Akala Island.
Any advice for the following totem pokemon?

Good call. I guess I'll try and bait it with my Chandelure and hopefully get the burn off, probably going to lose someone to the fight.
Won't be playing for a bit leading up to it so hopefully I remember.
