Today has been great.
At Akale Island, I catch a Mudbray on my way to Paniola Ranch and there I catch a Lillipup and then a Sissy before Brooklet Hill. Grubbin also evolves into Charjabug which makes things amazing.
Then I enter Brooklet Hill to take on the Island trial hosted by Lana and this one was a close call. I face off against the totem pokemon Araquanid who summons Dewpider to assist, I have Charjabug use Charge and then Spark on Araquanid but Bubble from the two water types did alot of damage, luckily enough Araquanid got paralysed which meant it didn't always attack and this gave me plenty of opportunity to heal and attack with Spark while Araquanid was stuck, eventually Charjabug killed Araquanid and then used Charge and Spark one more time to instantly kill Dewpider when it was left alone. I would have had to sacrifice Charjabug if it wasn't for paralys saving the day. After that battle, I caught a Paras before leaving Brooklet Hill.
Any advice for the next totem battle?

I have decided to TAKE NO PRISONERS. North Dakota has become a glorious Alakazam, and he could walk up to Koga’s face and slime his whole team right now if he wanted to (I did the calcs). Only issue is I don’t want him to be too overleveled compared to the rest. After Koga’s done, I have to go back to Celadon and grab Shadow Ball for North Dakota because he’s also our best shot at Sabrina. Would’ve been cool if Gastly was a Gengar by now too, but oh well

Cyndaquil is shit.
It evolves very late and for most of the game run with mid-power Fire- and Normal-moves, with lol Dig and Rollout being the "coverage" options.
And then in remakes it lost Thunder Punch so you can't even cope about it eventually becoming good.
And it can't even be used for support like Meganium because it's best support move is... Smokescreen, maybe?
Compare it to Totodile fully evolving at level fucking 30 and getting pretty based Water/Ice coverage early in the game both in GSC (Ice Punch) and remakes (Ice Fang) or even just Meganium's fat ass siting behind screens.

I think it’s gonna be safer to keep everyone in the same level ballpark than to just slime Koga and Sabrina now and level up the rest later. If something goes wrong, if I get careless and lose Dakota somehow, everyone else would be screwed. Besides, I have to grind the Game Corner anyway for the Shadow Ball TM

Lost two pokemon tonight.
I caught a Pikipek and then a Larvitar at Digletts Tunnel and then an Alolan Diglett. This is all before I make my way to Wela Volcano Park to take on the next trial hosted by Kiawe.
Against this trial, I would go on to lose two pokemon.
I face off against the totem pokemon Alolan Marowak, I send out Wingull to use the Z move Hydro Vortex but unfortunately Marowak used Detect which I did not expect and Hydro Vortex barely did any damage and to make things worst, Marowak summons Salazzle to assist, Wingull did use Water Pulse on Marowak which did alot of damage but then Salazzle used Poison Gas and then Venoshock which killed Wingull. I send out Mudbray for revenge and use Bulldoze which kills Salazzle instantly but unfortunately Marowak used Detect and saved itself from being killed and then retaliated by using Flame Wheel which killed Mudbray. After killing two of my pokemon, i thought I may be screwed but then I send out my trusty Murkrow and finish off Marowak with Assurance ending the battle but with two casualties. I am so far away from the piss easy Kalos region.
After that trial, I capture a Fletchling before leaving Wela Volcano Park and flying back to Melemele Island to unfortunately catch two unwanted gen 1 pokemon. A Tentacool in Melemele Sea and a Slowpoke in Kala'e Bay. I fly back to Akale Island to continue my journey.
Any advice for the Totem Lurantis fight because this is one of the hardest battles in the game?
>>
>>
>>59148674
I always struggle in nuzlockes of harder games because I struggle to think of what's happening in the moment. I lost half my team in a fight that should've been deathless all because I forgot to put a certain item on a Pokemon, and even then, I had a way to simply adjust by killing the Elekid with Zubat instead of swapping to Meowth.

I make my way to the Lush Jungle to take on the trial hosted by Mallow and this would go on to be the hardest one yet. I faced off against the totem pokemon Lurantis, I send out Murkrow to use the Z move Supersonic Airstrike, Murkrow did alot of damage to Lurantis but unfortunately it did not kill Lurantis, to make things worst, Lurantis would summon Comfey who would use multiple Flower Shields to boost Lurantises defense while Lurantis used Synthesis to heal itself so that whenever Murkrow tried to take out Lurantis with Wing Attack, it did less damage each round as Lurantis kept healing and soon Lurantis was fully healed, to make things worst, Comfey used Sunny Day so that Lurantises Solar Blade would do alot of damage in one hit, and whenever I healed Murkrow, Comfey healed Lurantis using Floral Healing, Murkrow tried to do its best and take out Lurantis using Wing Attack and I was able to keep on healing Murkrow so that rounds would be wasted and mabye Lurantis and Comfey would run out of healing moves but unfortunately one Solar Blade turned out to be a crit and my beloved Murkrow who helped me out so dearly in former battles died. Next came out Zubat who was able to use Confuse Ray and this did confuse Lurantis and helped a little bit while Zubat got in some Wing Attacks but unfortunately Lurantis snapped out of confusion and killed Zubat with a Solar Blade. Luckily enough when Charjabug came out, thanks to Murkrow and Zubats effort, Comfy had run out of Floral Healing and Flower Shield and Lurantis couldn't use Solar Blade or Synthesis anymore which meant Lurantis was stuck using Low Sweep and Comfey was stuck using Magical Leaf, all moves that did little damage and after a few Bug Bites from Charjabug, Lurantis was finally killed and defeated once and for all. Dartrix came in to finish of Confey with a few Plucks and the battle was over.

After that exhausting half an hour battle, I caught a Passimian in Lush Jungle though I wanted Steenee and then Fletchling evolved into Fletchinder, I also caught a Magikarp and Mankey evolved into Primeape. Im now at Konikoni city.
Any advice for Olivia?

Just beat Wattson, it was a tight match. I'm limiting myself to 5 healing items per battle, and I needed to use 5 for this match (3 soda pops, a full heal, and a paralyze heal).
>>59156425
I always lose mons on easy fights when my guard is down. I got through May 2 and Wattson with 0 casualties but lost a whismur to fucking WALLY.
>>
>>59158000
Yeah, but the bigger issue is me not realizing that I could just kill Elekid with Zubat and not still try to switch to Meowth. I'm really bad at like, seeing alternate routes to take to victory if I realize that something's wrong.

Today has been difficult. Lost three today.
Alright so unfortunately I lose my Alolan Diglett to a Gentleman's Jolteon that just so happened to know Double Kick that caught me by surprise and annoyed me. I did catch a Phantump at Memorial Hill and then a Stufful at Akala Outskirts but then in the fight against Team Skulls Plumeria, I lost Larvitar to Golbats Wing Attack and Larvitar was a bit underlevelled.
Then i took on the Kahuna of Akala Island Olivia. First I had Primeape use Karate Chop to take out Anorith and Lileep, though Primeape took some damage, then she sent out her Lycanroc which I was worried about. I sent out my own starter Dartrix but I expected her to use the rock type z move which could kill Dartrix my plan was to get her to use the move and switch out to Slowpoke instead hoping she would waste the move on Slowpoke which would also be me sacrificing Slowpoke. Unfortunately she did not use and used Bite instead which killed Slowpoke instantly meaning the sacrifice was nothing but now I know she isn't gonna use the rock type z move on Darteix straight away so I had Dartrix come back out and use the Z move Bloom Doom which nearly killed Lycanroc, Lycanroc used Bite and Dartrix had lost half its HP and fearing that Olivia might use the z move, I sent out Primeape clearly not wanting to sacrifice my starter and more willing to sacrifice Primeape but she never did for some reason and Primeape took out her Lycanroc with Karate Chop. That battle made me anxious.
Afterwards I caught a Sandygast at Hano Beach and Dartrix finally evolved into Decidueye, then I leave Akala Island and head to Ula Ula Island.
Any advice for the next trial?

It's not only the difficulty, but what I found that made it fun for me was how intentional the game seems to be designed. The game was made with nuzlocking in mind, and in normal Platinum, you can skip the Oreburgh mine trainers and just talk to Roark to get him to go to the gym, but the path you normally take by going to the right is blocked by Rock Smash, and you have to go left. On the left side, there's two unskippable trainers, but you also have to jump off a ledge. So once you do that, you can't change your team or go back to the Pokecenter, so you have to do both fights without losing to get to Roark. It's the same thing in his gym, where the path to go straight to him is blocked by Rock Smash rocks, so you have to fight the two gym trainers.
It's 100% not for everyone, and I'd never recommend a nuzlocke of it to anyone who isn't willing to be sweaty about it, but I found it fun. Ironically, I think a regular playthrough of Platinum Kaizo would be kind of easy.

Piper Wraps it and tries to get Rollout going, but Patrat keeps getting flinches. Eventually though, it begins to use Work Up, allowing me to Encore it. Rollout proceeds to wipe it out.
>Lillipup
It gets a Bite in, activating Piper's Oran Berry. Rollout does big damage.
Another Bite, another Rollout, and the battle is over.

>Koffing
Piper Encores Koffing's Assurance, allowing Caesar to get in and start Flame Charging Koffing.
Koffing falls after 4 of them, as it 3HKOs, but a Super Potion after the first two slows things down. A crit puts it back low, and then it falls.
>Whirlipede
It uses Protect a few times, but in the end it falls to two Flame Charges, but it gets a Venoshock crit in before falling.

Dang, I REALLY underestimated Archie.
I used 5 super potions, yet both Dustox and Swellow were still taken out by his Golbat, and Grovyle barely survived against his Sharpedo. I was expecting Dustox to fall off eventually but I'm still very sad that she died because she had been an MVP from the start and never failed to pull her own weight. She will be remembered for her faithful service to the cause.

This is Sapphire, and Im not too worried about Flannery since I got a Lunatone. Gonna need to grind a little to catch up though. I generally refrain from grinding since I think the game is designed around being a little "underleveled" at times, but I figure getting to ~24 is reasonable for Lavaridge gym.

Today has been awful.
I caught a Ariados at Malie Garden and then a Mincinno at Malie City and then a Komala, a Fearow and then a Ditto at Mount Hokulani. Unfortunately I would go on to lose Charjabug to a Veterans Absol using the Z move Blackhole Eclipse. See this hurts because Charjabug has helped me in two of the trials and was my first capture.
I then head to the Hokulani Observatory to take on the next Island trial hosted by Sophocles.
I faced off against the totem pokemon Togedemaru, I sent out Sandygast to use Bulldoze which did some damage but not alot, then Skarmory was summoned and used Stealth Rock, then Sandygast was killed by Togedemarus Iron Head. I sent out Fletchinder who unfortunately took alot of damage from the Stealth Rock, Fletchinder still managed to use the Z move Inferno Overdrive and deal alot of damage to Togedemaru but did not kill and Togedemaru would kill Fletchinder with Zing Zap. Out came Primeape to save the day, though Togedemaru used Bounce, Primeape used Focus Energy and after Bounce had landed, Primeape managed to take out the totem once and for all with Karate Chop. As for Skarmory, it used Steel Wing but it did not do alot of damage and Primeape finished it off with a Cross Chop and a Karate Chop.
Fuck please guys I need some help and advice. My team is looking shit right now. What are my options for later?

I was so pumped up about it that I forgot to take a proper post battle screenshot, but I avenged my previous loss to Roark in Platinum Kaizo, and pic related was the team to do it. Wigglytuff and Aron were the big MVP's. Aron by killing both the Ancient Power spamming Lileep, and also killing the Cranidos that has Rock Head+Head Smash. Wigglytuff? Wigglytuff did absolutely nothing, and that was perfect. Gulpin toxic'd Roark's Corsola, and Wigglytuff swapped in to do absolutely nothing.
He did so little direct damage, but Corsola couldn't kill it before it succumbed to Toxic. Unfortunately Cranidos came in afterwards, and that spelled the end for Wigglytuff. Gone, but will never be forgotten.

Getting the obvious out of the way, take a bit to train your team up. Route 14 has a Frillish you can catch as a special encounter, the desert has a good chance of giving you Krokorok, and that's all i can really say on routes without having played US and not knowing where you've been already. If you haven't been, consider farming Mantine Surf for BP or at least check out the move tutors to see if you want anything for your team.
>>59167520
Bulbapedia says the change happens when you earn 16 badges, maybe people are used to gunning it for Red first.

Flannery was indeed a problem.
I lost both Lunatone and Numel to her Torkoal. It was entirely due to overconfidence on my part; I had used an X attack on Lunatone, which made its Rock Throws take about 1/3 of Torkoal's health (Whereas it took about 1/4 from Torkoal's Body Slam). I put it to sleep with Hypnosis and at that point I genuinely thought the match was won, but it woke up early and took out Lunatone with Overheat. I had been at just under half health, like 36/73, but didn't bother to heal. Total foolishness on my part. From there, Numel landed a Magnitude, but got a low roll and left Torkoal alive with like 5 health. Hilariously, I finished it off with my level 21 Swablu (she had already used both of her Hyper Potions). Terrible outcome, I seriously need to start being more cautious, every death so far has been preventable, I keep thinking "surely this unlikely thing, like a crit or a 10% secondary effect, won't happen" and then it does and I lose a mon. To a degree I do it because taking risks that pay off is part of the fun of Pokemon but at this point I'm losing out being able to use mons I actually want to try out, which is the whole point of a nuzlocke

Fuck today I lost 7 pokemon. But I think my team has improved and gotten better.
First I lost Ditto to Ryuki inside the Kantonian gym, while Ditto transformed into Turtonator, Drama killed Diitto with Dragon Breath. Then in the first fight against Guzma, i lost five pokemon. I ended up sacrificing Minccino, Fearow, Tentacool and Grimer all to Masquerains Air Slash just to heal my starter and then to make things worst, I lose my powerful Primeape to Golisopods Razor Shell. Still I did not give up.
While traveling in Ula Ula Island, i would go on to catch a ton of pokemon, I caught a Houndoom, then Pikipek evolved into Trumbeak, then I caught a Crabrawler at this islands beach, then Magikarp evolved into Gyarados, then I caught an Alolan Graveler at Blush Mountain, then I fished a Wishiwashi, then in Tapu Village I caught a Snorunt followed by catching a Absol at Mount Lanakila and while there, Crabrawler evolved into Crabominable. I then also caught a Frillish and them finally a Fineon. Unfortunately I lost Wishiwashi to a Veterans Gabite using Earthquake. I'm very tired today.
How those my team look?

Fuck this game.
I first began by going to the Thrifty Megamart and taking on the sixth Island trial hosted by Acerola.
I fage off against the totem pokemon Mimikyu, I send out Deciduye to use Leaf Blade to quickly destroy its disguise, the biggest problem, then Mimikyu used Shadow Claw which did more than half damage, I had no choice but to send out a pokemon to sacrifice, as much as I would like a Frosslass, I sent out Snorunt while Mimikyu summoned a Banette, Shadow Claw from Mimikyu did alot of damage and Banette used Will o Wisp which set Snowrung on fire, I had no choice but to heal my starter while Mimikyu killed Snorunt with a Play Rough. I send out Deciduye again this time with full health so Deciduye could survive another Shadow Claw and then Decidueye used the Z move Sinister Arrow Raid that would go on to obliterate Mimikyu straight away. Finally after healing Decidueye, Banette used Will o Wisp but the burn didn't matter as Deciduye killed Banette with Spirit Shackle straight away. Mabye another day I will use a Frosslass.
I catch a Klefki before leaving the shop and Fineon evolves into Lumineon and I also catch a Krokorok at Haina Desert. Things look like they are going good but then things get worst after this.
>>
I take on the Team Skull member Plumeria for the last time and this battle would piss me off. I sent out Alolan Graveler and used the Z move Continental Crash that nearly killed Golbat, Golbat countered with Poison Fang which did poison Graveler too but Graveler took out Golbat with Thunder Punch. Next she sends out her Salazzle, i send out Krokorok with the plan to use Dig to kill it which it should but Salazzle ends up going first, using Flamethrower and killing Krokorok instantly before I get a chance to use it. This pissed me off and then I sent out Lumineon and used Water Pulse but Sludge Bomb nearly killed Lumineon so I send out my starter Decidueye but Sludge Bomb nearly kills Hoot too, I decide to send out Graveler hoping he could tank hits but Flamethrower kills Graveler. Annoyed I send out Houndoom to use Bite but that doesn't kill Salazzle who uses Poison Bomb that those alot of damage, I decide to heal Decidueyeand sacrifice Houndoom who dies to another Sludge Bomb and so I send out Decidueye who gets hit with a Flamethrower but survives and kills Salazzle with Spirit Shackle.
Later after that battle, I catch a Scraggy and then I lose Ariados to a Teachers Torkoal using Flame Wheel though it was a sacrifice. I catch a Oricorio at Ula Ula Meadows and then a Skarmory outside Po Town.
Fuck this game, I just want to be able to create a team instead of losing pokemon.
I thought I was doing good last time as I was able to get some good pokemon only to lose a good chunk of them. I'm really worried and I may be screwed.
>>
>>59172553
Yeah it doesn't matter anymore because I've lost a good chunk of my team and many great team members. I also lost a Krokorok I was told to try and catch to help things out onlyto fucking lose it instantly. I think I'm fucked. Next up is the second Guzma fight too at Po Town.

I respect why you might be feeling a little discouraged after losing so many good mons, but try to think about how good that'll make your eventual victory feel. One of the best parts about Nuzlockes is winning even after taking a genuinely crippling hit. All my favorite nuzlocke memories are from beating a tough boss even after my main counter to them dies.

Alright today has been exhausting but I'm still going.
First I lost Skarmory to Gladions Type: Null using Crush Claw but I was able to beat the Island Kahuna of Ula Ula Island Nanu with no casualties. First Decidueye took out Sableye with two Spirit Shackles, then his Krokorok used Swagger on Lumineon, big mistake as it boosted Lumineon attack and made Water Pulse more devastating, now Krokorok did land a powerful Earthquake but Lumineon snapped out of confusion and took out Krokorok with another Water Pulse and finally Crabominable used the Z move All Out Pummeling to deal alot of damage to Alolan Persian before finishing it off with a Power Up Punch.
Then comes the part where I head to the Aether Foundation to deal with the baddies of this game. While infiltrating, Trumbeak evolves into Toucannon. Then I take on the boss of Team Skull Guzma for the final time. First I have Decidueye the Z move Supersonic Skystrike on his Golisopod but Golisopod those heavy damage with Sucker Punch and while the Z move also those alot of damage, Golisopod retreats from the battle and out comes Pinsir. I send out Klefki and heal Decidueye while Pinsir uses Storm Throw. Klefki uses alot of Play Roughs and eventually Pinsir is dead, then came out Vikavolt who's Thunderbolts did alot of damage forcing me to keep on healing Klefki until Vikavolt runs out of Thunderbolts, then Klefki slowly takes it out with Play Rough, Golisopod comes out again and I have Decidueye kill it with a Pluck but not before Golisopod lands a Sucker Punch. Finally it's Guzmas fucking Masquerain that I despise. I send out Crabominable with the intention of using Ice Punch straight away to kill Masquerain and I assumed Crabominable could resist a Air Slash, it did not and Punch was killed for no fucking reason whatsoever. Eventually Klefki slowly takes out Masquerain with Play Rough and the Air Slashes kept causing flinches which drove me mad.
>>
After that fucking battle, I then take on the head of the Aether Foundation Lusamine herself. First I sent out Klefki against her Clefairy, I use Flash Cannon while she uses Moonblast but eventually they keys win, next is her Lopunny, I send out Passimian to use Rock Smash but Lopunny kills Passiminian with Fire Punch and Dizzy Punch, I send out Deciduye who is hit with a Fire Punch bug Decidueye manages to kill Lopunny instantly with Leaf Blade, I need to heal Decidueye so I sacrifice Lumineon to Milotic using Dragon Pulse and then send out a fully healed Decidueye to take out Milotic with Leaf Blade, unfortunately Milotic did land another Dragon Pulse before that so when Lusamine sent out her scary Bewear, i sent out Absol to make another sacrifice while I heal Decidueye, Absol is killed by a Takedown and then a Drain Punch, I send out Deciduye and use the Z move Supersonic Skystrike which to my surprise kills Bewear instantly and then I send out Toucannon against her Lilligant who unfortunately is hit with a Teeter Dance but manages to get in a Drill Peck before being killed by Petal Dance. After losing four pokemon this fight, Decideye finally ends the fight with a Pluck. After all that, I make it to Poni Island at last.
Am I fucked? Is it over?

Yeah, it's starting to get to the point where I can speed up the emulation for most pre-Roark fights. The ones I really have to watch out for are

>The two trainers in Oreburgh Gate

Today has been bad. I nearly lost but I'm still going.
At Poni Island, I was gifted a Aerodactyl at Seafolk Village, then I caught a Granbull at Poni Wilds, a Gastrodon at Ancient Poni Path, a Wailmer at Poni Breaker Coast and a Pinsir at Exeggutor Island.
For the final time, I beat the Ultra Recon Squad member Dulse in which Klefki was able to use the Z move Corkscrew Crash followed by Mirror Shot to beat Poipole. After that, I caught a Boldore in Vast Poni Canyon but then tragedy would ensue. I would go on to lose Pinsir to a Veterans Kangaskhan using Dizzy Punch and while Scraggy was able to evolve into Scrafty, i would then lose Klefki and Gastrodon to a Veterans Flygon using Earthquake.

I then head deeper into the canyon to take on the seventh Island trial hosted by no one this is where i nearly died. I face off against the totem pokemon Kommo-o, I send out Granbull to use Play Rough but I lose Granbull to Poison Jab instantly and then Kommo-o summoned a Noivern, I sent out Deciduye to use the Z move Supersonic Skystrike but Kommo-o using Dragon Claw followed by Noivern using Air Slash did alot of damage and cause Decidueye to flinch, this is where trouble began, I had to sacrifice a pokemon just to heal Decidueye but the problem is whenever I sent out Decidueye, it would end up flinching and taking alot of damage again and again. As a result, both Aerodactyl, Wailmer, Scrafty and Gyarados died to Kommo-o. Eventually Decidueye did not flinch and managed to get in the Z move on Kommo-o but it did not kill Kommo-o. I just had to keep healing hoping that the two opponents would run out of moves and eventually Noivern missed which gave me an opening to finally kill Kommo-o with Pluck. After that, Decidueye managed to kill Noivern with two Spirit Shackles. I thought it was over.
Afterwards I was able to atleast beat the legendary pokemon Necrozma at Megalapolis. That Alolan Ratatta i caught earlier, I was saving it for this battle. I gave Ratatta a Focus Sash and took the Dragon Pulse, followed by Ratatta using Endeavour and then Quick Attack. Essentially I took the easy way out with that fight but atleast afterwards Stufful evolved into Bewear and I received a Poipole from the Ultra Recon Squad.
I still think I may be screwed though. I hope I'm not.

Wormadam is surprisingly a solid choice, especially trash form.
Issue with any "Trashlockes" (I kinda hate this name, lol) is that ultimately with exception of complete gimmicks everything has one or two moves that can be abused and make it kind of work.
Something like Chatot is pretty unimpressive until you realize that 65 STAB flying attack with 100% confusion rate is kinda neat, it learns few support moves like Taunt and Parting Shot and late game can spam STAB Hyper Voice or fucking Boomburst if you allow yourself breeding. It's worse than other similar options, but it's still good...

>Vs Elesa
>Emolga
Celine Sleep Powdered the opponent after getting hit by Pursuit.
I get three or so Quiver Dances in after a Leech Seed, and then Giga Drain finishes off Emolga.
>Zebstrika
It goes down to Giga Drain
>Flaaffy
I put it to Sleep and then Leech Seed it.
Knowing I can easily secure victory, I send in Luciana on a Thunder Wave(it woke up). She's holding the Amulet Coin.
I swap her out for Caesar, who finishes it off with a Flame Charge Crit.

>Vs Clay
>Krokorok
Celine puts it to sleep turn one.
It immediately wakes up as she starts Quiver Dancing and keeps using Bulldoze. After two dances, I KO it with Giga Drain.
>Sandslash
Giga Drain.
>Excadrill
It lands a Metal Claw, then Giga Drain sends it into the red. It is brought out of likely potion range by its own Sitrus Berry, which means it falls to Giga Drain the next turn after another Metal Claw.

Of course, then I went to the PWT and made an ass of myself. I completely forgot Colress is the boss of the first tournament, and I brought neither my Pignite nor a mon with anything to break Steel-types.
Except Celine, who might be resisted but still had Quiver Dance+Giga Drain.
She ended up having to Quiver Dance a lot to break through Colress for me. Thunder Wave paralysis meant she kept ending up on low health though, and Elgyem managed to get Heal Block onto her as well.
She finally succumbed against his final mon Klink, having left the team in a position where they could actually manage to scramble a victory.

It's over. I lost my nuzlocke.
I began the final trial hosted by Mina where I would begin to lose alot of my weaker pokemon sacrificing them to keep the three stronger ones alive. In order of who I lost while battling all the trial captains, i would lose Komala, Oricorio, Psyduck, Alolan Raticate that did evolve before being killed, Kecleon, Bewear, Lillipup and Frillish.
Then I take on the totem pokemon Ribombee and here's how it goes. Ribombee who uses Bug Buzz to deal alot of damage to my starter Decidueye, Decidueye uses the Z move Supersonic Skystrike and deals alot of damage. While Ribombee summons Blissey, I switch out my starter and sacrifice both Cottonee and Phantump to Bug Buzz just to heal Decidueye. When it's Decidueyes turn to come out, he takes another Bug Buzz that was stronger than the last one due to Blissey using Helping Hand but he manages to kill Ribombee with Brave Bird. Finally I send out Formantis who is killed by Blisseys Dazzling Gleam, a sacrifice so Pinhead could attack first. Pinhead came out and used Toxic on Blissey followed by two Poison Jabs and soon it was over. I had won.
Then I take on the Island Kahuna of Poni Island Hapu and it was all Decidueyes doing. Golurk and Gastrodon where killed with one Leaf Blade, Flygon took a few Leaf Blades to take down and even got in a few Dragon Breaths but Mudsdale was killed instantly by the Z move Bloom Doom.
Unfortunately the nuzlocke would end when I battled Gladion at Mount Lanakila. His Zoroark took out my Boldore with the Z move Black Hole Eclipse and then just straight up killed by Poipole and my starter Decidueye with Night Daze.
I had lost all my pokemon and so my nuzlocke is over.

Took a nice break from nuzlockes for about a year, but decided to come back and get Emerald out of the way. Maybe I've played too many hacks, but I'm really starting to despise Hoenn, so this took a bit of conviction to get started again. Luckily I only feel that way about the Eastern half of the game, all of West Hoenn is a wonderful experience. Going with a game naming convention. I do have a dupes clause, but it's only for champions, so I'm sorta incentivised to get the bad encounters to the end, like linoone in Ruby. Unfortunately, that gave me 3 Poochyenas. Didn't like the first too much, but I'd started to grow attached to XD and decided to leave the others as fodder that sand attack before dying. Worked well for Roxanne, but I'd underestimated the optional rival fight and because of my grass overrepresentation, XD's Bite was my best bet. Unfortunately it must've triggered Blaze and got practically ohkoed due to the Rash nature. If I don't wipe to Flannery or Wattson, I'll have my next run in with them in ORAS. Thinking about putting mini in the daycare instead of keeping it, because while Breloom is great for Wattson later, Spore shenanigans for the E4 sound too fun to pass up.
